    Dick Blick, how loud are the Power Jet? I have a Smart Jet Pro, love it. It's really quiet, but want to upgrade to something with a storage tank.

    I want to hear them. I find this to be only half the info without it.

    The Power Jet is just as quiet as the Smart Jet Pro in fact, they have the same decibel rating (54).
    The nice thing about a storage tank is that the compressor will be totally silent while you use the stored air and then turn on while its filling back up.

    I just ordered my first airbrush, the compressor I choose was the Power Jet Lite. Are there any major drawbacks to using a tankless system? As far as I can tell, the only thing is that it will make more noise? Maybe wear out faster since it has to pump more?

    does the smart jet pro have a airbrush holder? and what is the maxium PSI for the smart jet pro?

    Silver Jet is extremely loud for it's output. It averaged 109dB on the first day of use which made it essentially illegal to use in residential area based business building in California.

    Just purchased the Power Jet Pro. Bit miffed to discover you can only use it for an hour at a time, particularly since I'm used to big airbrushing sessions that go on all day.
    I intend to switch it off for about a few minutes or so, within a 60 minute period, unless you suggest otherwise.
    When shopping online, I couldn't see any reference to the (biggest) Power Jet you mentioned at 03:21. Has it been discontinued?

      ***** How well the Power Jet Pro meets your needs will depend on a variety of factors. Because there is an air storage tank on this unit, the compressor itself may not need to run continuously if you work at lower pressure, but with high psi or in a production environment, this unit may not be the best for your needs. We are very interested in discussing your application further to determine whether the Power Jet Pro is the best choice. Please feel welcome to contact Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or Iwata technical assistance at 503-253-7308, ext. 2020 - we’re all eager to help!

    I'm getting more into the whole T-shirt and baseball helmet gig, so I'm looking for a compressor where I can attach more than one airbrush to it, which one will work best? please help

    • @Blick_Art

      +ENEMYoneEMK The Iwata Power Jet Pro Studio Compressor would be the lower end of the compressors that will allow for two airbrushes to be attached to it. We also offer the following options that handle two airbrushes: www.dickblick.com/products/iwata-hammerhead-air-compressor/ and www.dickblick.com/products/iwata-maxx-jet-compressor/ .
      If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

    The glass air valve on one side has debris how do I perform maintenance on my power jet pro?

    • @Blick_Art
      @Blick_Art  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Mark Wilber (LoudMusic) If by “glass air valve” you mean the moisture trap, you can remove the metal housing just by unscrewing it, and then the moisture trap itself (which is actually plastic rather than glass) twists off in the same manner. If what you’re referring to is the pressure gauge, the cover is not made to be removed. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

    Hello, would you recommend the Power Jet Lite for doing body art? I've been researching and it's either that one or the Power Jet Pro. They say bigger the tank the better?

    • @Blick_Art
      @Blick_Art  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Miss. A Lee The Power Jet Lite doesn’t have a tank, so it may run continuously while in use. The potential for heat build-up means you won’t want to run it for more than half an hour or so at a stretch, so we wouldn’t recommend this for a production setting. However, for moderate use the Power Jet Lite should work well. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

    whats the best compressor for airbrushing shoes ?

    • @Blick_Art
      @Blick_Art  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tony Cee The best compressor really depends on the type of airbrush you are using, the type of paint you are using, and the length of time you plan on spraying during one sitting. The Sprint Jet or the Smart Jet Pro would be the smallest compressors that would fit the majority of your needs. If you plan on using the compressor as a business means - running 8 hours a day - consider Power Jet Compressors. All Iwata compressors can be found here: www.dickblick.com/brands/iwata/#compressors . If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

    I will like to no witch one is better the iwata power jet pro 975 or iwata power jet 900.

    • @Blick_Art
      @Blick_Art  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sarobe Mack The Pro (975) has two airbrush hook-ups and two regulators, but a smaller tank. As long as you don’t intend to run two airbrushes at a time, then the 900 would have the larger tank of the two. All other features are the same. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
