2:59 Hi Jill. Instead of peeling I found that just setting the peaches in boiling water for a few seconds and then putting in an ice bath the peel just slides off. Makes a tedious job so quick❤Thank you for sharing this recipe❤

I am a teacher so I get to spend my summer in the garden. Lots of sweat equity and long hours processing. Some people look at me like I am crazy, but I am providing something special for my husband and son. Both have issues with preservatives so I put up all of the tomato products we will need for a year. I do this for them so that they can enjoy it and not suffer the consequences. I think that’s pretty powerful. I garden for my family, so they have the food they can get.❤

Thank you Jill for expressing so beautifully the beauty and value of a homemaker. You're right not everyone can cut it because it takes a woman of character. Day in and day out. And whether we think so or not people are watching us. Children are patterning their lives after us. Is it a position of great importance and that's why I think the world tries to pull it away from us. Because the ruler of this world doesn't want us to accomplish our goal for Christ. We were created for HIS good pleasure not our own. Much love to both you Nate and the girls. May God bless you today and everyday, and He does.

I agree with everything you just said period not everyone's called to go out into the world to work for some company.
God does call many, many, many women to be homemakers. It's a wonderful rewarding job. To take care of your home and your kids helping them to grow up to be model citizens in Christ's Church.

You are 100% right. I’m on the other side as my children are grown. I’m thankful I was able to stay home with my children. It was a blessing. The years go quickly and you are left with the memories. This is the best time of your life enjoy it.

I had and raised 6 kid's and I always found some sort of work I could do from home as well as grow a garden every year. I just always wanted to be able to stay home and raise my children, we may have not had the name brand clothes or able to do all the things but I don't regret not one minute of it I loved being a mom and house wife and staying home to do the best I could for my family

I have been struggling with this after being a homemaker for 28 years and my youngest is 18 now. My question to myself not knowing my purpose recently, is my purpose to love my family well and to continue nurturing my loved ones and household for the rest of my life? Nothing else bring me so much joy. Thank you. I feel like this was gods way of reassuring me I’m right where I’m meant to be💚😇🙏

Laying under our newest addition #5 as she sleeps. I am looking around at my piles of laundry, dirty dishes, failing garden, and all the other things that "need" my attention. And I constantly am reminding myself this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. Thank you for the additional reminder.

I just got a box of peaches so this is great timing. I followed the link to the recipe but also saw a recipe for maple vanilla peach jam. I decided to combine all the recipes.. 18 peaches, 1 cup honey , 3/4 cup pure maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla or to taste, a bit of lemon juice. Cook down into a butter and canned up.. so good

For newbies that want to can you should never screw that tight. Otherwise puree everywhere. I've experienced it. Also 2 inches of water over the top. You will probably need a taller pot, either a canning one or you could buy an electric one. Also since 2015 you can CAN in a steam canner. I perfer the steam canner so you dont waste water or lug the water to the sink. It only takes less thsn 3 quarts of water.

I don't use sugar at all in my butters unless after they've cooked down they're sour. But I love peach cobbler butter. Vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and a pinch of salt 8 cups of peaches

Well Jill, now you have me hungry for peaches, especially peach butter lol. My mom used to make apple butter. We were blessed with a big apple tree in our backyard. I was a stay at home mother of five children, while my husband got all the respect because he works that… Yeah, I’ll spare you my rant lol🤪. Now my children are grown and I’m a Nana. And I feel blessed to have been a stay at home for both of those. But thank you for all that you said, and believe❣️🥰😘👏🏼

I am a recent subscriber and I live in Greenbrier AR. I love dahlias and have approx 90 dahlias in the ground. I just watched a couple of your videos on dahlias and would love to share more info about varieties you’ve had great success with. In my garden, I have had luck with Great Silence, Milena Fleur, Gay Princess, Arabian Night, along with some others but several just don’t bloom. I would love to know more. So little info on dahlias in our zone, right?

When men and women realize and embrace the roles God has intended for them, there is joy in the mundane day to day. May the God of all Glory bless you Jill for seeing this and living it out. A Proverbs 31 woman that every man should hope to find!
Peach butter sounds so yummy, makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

Jill, I have a lot of respect for you, but I don’t believe God called women to be homemakers. To all the women that are homemakers and are content, I am very happy for you. But I don’t think sentiments like this help progress women in the direction that we should be going… I hope we can start to normalize men as being homemakers and stay at home dads as well 😊

You have every right to form your own opinion. That’s the beauty of living in our great country. I stick by my words but don’t disagree with stay at home dads. There’s always going to be different circumstances. Cheers to having a healthy debate 🥂

I suppose it depends on how you define homemaker. I would describe Jill as a Proverbs 31 woman, which is a far cry from a woman who simply cleans the house and feeds the kids while her husband works long hours both during and after his job to do everything else. I don’t think God necessarily condemns those of us who have had careers outside the home, but I’m convinced for certain that he richly blesses those who strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman, and her family as well.
      Blessings to all y’all.

I will tell you this, homemaking is more than minimum wage in just daycare for two or more kids. SPECIALLY if they are still in diapers.
