    My dr just recommended this, I’ve had cortisone shots done before and my arm was hurting for about 3 days, some of the worst pain I had since my injury and this one looks to be about as much fun but after some research I think this might help with the chronic pain better, my other injection only lasted about a month, much less than the supposed 6 months of pain relief I was told I would have. So fingers crossed

    My prolotherapist is using prozolone. But not as comprehensive at treating my bicep tendonitis and nerve irritation. I have had two injection therapies so far and much improvement. I have had bicep tendonitis for just short of 3 months now. Pain is more achy stiff pain than hot searing pain.Still some nerve irritation bit not as much. But amazing treatment l am seeing on this video. Very precise and professional.

    So l had three sessions of prolotherapy now in the uk. It has helped. But it has not been a cure for my shoulder impingement. Still have scapula tightness aswell. I have done nearly four weeks of prescribed exercise but seems to have increased the pain and stiffness. Awaiting to have a scan done on my shoulder and arm. But l see the far superior treatment in Caring Medical that is lacking in the uk. I see that Danielle treated 90% more of the shoulder structures than l had done and l think that is key to her success. Rarely is it just one part of the shoulder as it is all interconnected. Thankyou Danielle, your treatments are far more advanced. Prescribed exercise is not helping either.

    Hi Tony, Great questions! The average number of treatments for any given area is 3-6. Prolotherapy works to strengthen and rebuild damaged ligaments/sprained ligaments. You may want to check out some of our other videos on our channel which address more about dextrose Prolotherapy, ligaments, scar tissue, etc.. in greater detail. Also, if you have questions specifically about your case and coming in for an appointment, please email us directly to discuss privately. Take care for now.

    Never seen or heard of this being done without guidance of ultrasound. I hope she's really good

      Hi MrMojo, Thanks for the observation. Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy was originally done without ultrasound guidance. It is anatomically guided, meaning the practitioner uses anatomical landmarks to guide where the injections need to go. We do use ultrasound in our practice every day for both diagnostic and treatment guidance. Another form of guidance is fluoroscopy which we use in our office. Depending on the case and joint being treated, there can be a variety of preferred techniques to guide the injections. We discuss this in some other videos, including this one: th-cam.com/video/5iloAVNSXm8/w-d-xo.html Hope it helps in any way. Wish you all the best in health!

    Hi Tony, Thanks for the honest post. Yes, getting Prolotherapy can be painful. But for a couple minutes of flinching compared to living with chronic pain and disability for years, surgery, pain pills, etc.. our patients prefer this treatment. For some, there are oral meds to take the edge off . But most people do not need to take anything, such as this patient who was actually laughing during part of the treatment (can be seen in the video) while carrying on with the PA and RN in the room. :)

    Hi Danielle;
    Two questions;
    1) Can you use PRP or Prolotherapy in more than one location during a session (ie. both shoulders, or one shoulder; one hip) or does this effect the immune system by limiting the ability to heal optimally?
    2) Does the use of PRP require an ultrasound for locating the specific injury or can it be used more generally, or does this depend on the type of injury?

    How many cc's of PRP did you use on the shoulder? How many PRP injected sites?
    How many cc's of regular prolo? Why less PRP than regular prolo?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi redtroika, these are detailed questions that can change from patient to patient as far as if all the PRP is used in the joint or additionally around the joint, or if it is divided among two joints, etc... Comprehensive dextrose Prolotherapy is always the base of what we do because we want to treat the whole joint, not just do a one or two shot PRP treatment that does not help with the overall joint stability. What we try to show in all of our video examples is that there are many injections done, not just a few, and follow the traditional Hackett-Hemwall technique. Take care.

    Do you use some kind of guide to see where you are injecting the therapy? rx or ultrasound ?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Vanessa - great question! We do use ultrasound when treating some patients, however the decision to use ultrasound guidance is based on the needs of the individual patient and is not a rule for all!

    How long will these injections last for the pain? 1 week, a month? 🤷🏻‍♀️TIA for your reply....👍🏼☺️

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi McCrister, Prolotherapy stimulates the body to repair the area for the long-term. The tissue repair happens over the weeks and months following treatment and stays that way unless a new injury happens. It is not like a drug that would wear off. It's combined with exercise, good posture, healthy habits, etc for maximum efficacy and the person just goes on to have a normal life. The body has amazing healing capabilities, it just needs the right stimulus and environment.

      Hi Danger Pig, are you referring to a ligament tear or a bone fracture? If this is something you are dealing with and would like us to review your case and imaging reports in more detail, we'd be happy to help and see if you sound like a good candidate for our clinics. We help a lot of different types of shoulder conditions, including ligament and tendon tears and post-fracture pain. Wish you all the best in health.

    I don't have pain but alot of popping (maybe nerve damage/inflamation) would PRP help with the popping / instability?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Oscar- Good question. Most of the time PRP by itself is just done to a specific area where there is a tear or into the joint, and dextrose Prolotherapy is the solution that is more peppered through the ligaments that hold the joint together to try and stabilize it and overcome that popping/instability aspect. We do not use PRP as a standalone solution because most often patients have situations like what you're describing, there is an underlying instability that is the cause. If you feel that you'd like our team to potentially see you here in our center in Fort Myers, FL as a patient, you're welcome to reach out to us directly. We wish you all the best in healing your shoulder!

    You said the patient had a labrum tear but injected most of the prp right into the AC joint. If I have a labrum tear, will injecting right into the joint work? If not, what equipment is needed to target the larbum? Is ultrasound enough or you also need X-ray and contrast etc.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Raw, Yes, good question, we do use ultrasound in many labral tear cases during the exam as well as during treatment. It is not just a matter of injecting the PRP though, and we discuss this in more detail in some other videos, but tearing the labrum also means the other structures around the labrum have been affected, for any force great enough to tear the labrum would indicate. So, treating the surrounding structures is important for the overall stability of the shoulder as well.

    Why are u not using an ultrasound imaging cos i think you are only supposed to inject that in the exact area where the damaged is located.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ed M, Thanks for the question. We do use ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance in our practice every day as well. There are a variety of Prolotherapy methods that we demonstrate them in our videos. The oldest and most widely used method of Prolotherapy uses anatomical landmarks, which is what is being done here. Take care, Ed M.

    Lady you need to use ultrasound way better for the patient

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy

      Hi Vic Vidal, Thanks for sharing your opinion on that. PA Danielle is excellent with ultrasound and uses it for many treatments. This is just an example of a treatment done via anatomical landmarks only. Wish you all the best in health.

      Hi Eliseo, Thanks for the honest comment. We understand. No one likes needles. It can be painful to get a comprehensive Prolotherapy treatment, versus a single shot, but the good part is most people do better at handling it than they thought. Our patients feel the results are worth a couple minutes of the treatment, especially if it can save them from surgery, restore their function, and eliminate the daily pain that they live with (as the consequences of living in chronic pain are far-reaching). Wish you all the best and if you would like our team to review your case and see if you are a good candidate for our clinics, we'd love to help you!
