I built my own sound treatment in a similar way that you plan to and it worked great. Rock wool isn't fun to work with but once it's inside a wood frame and covered with cloth it's fine. I learned to avoid cutting the rock wool by making my wood frames the same dimensions as the insulation pieces.

GAS hit me, so can I afford it? after checking my PayPal credit the answer was YES(just 🤣), BUT it's not out yet and I have the tracker OG and the Tracker mini so do I really need it and I figured that it was a WANT not a need, but the GAS is still running around my brain so I logged into Reverb for a look around and guess what? Something that I've wanted since it first came out is suddenly in reach! A very little used 2021 Synthstrom Deluge with the Oled mod for £50 less than the Tracker+, So I bought the Deluge at 3 o clock in the morning for £750. What a result 😂, THANKS POLYEND! without you I would have missed one of my grails 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😎😎

don't you want to hang back a bit and just wait and see how buggy it is first? The Play+ was pretty shonky on release.

Similar story: I was really annoyed at the Play upgrade program after just having a Play for 8 months. Instead of buying an upgrade for 400 I bought a MC707 for 450, which I am finding to be very versatile and a great addition to my setup. I think the message is GAS exists people need to have a second think about what is out there.

The Mini gets this as a software update this summer, so probably try that first?
