thank you for the free plugin @hainbach you are my favourite musician youtuber... would love to collaborate with you on anything... keep up the interesting and cool work!!! love your music..
The mental gymnastics associated with the fairy tale of this ridiculous senseless plugin would embarrass any monkey with enough sense to realize that these are realized imaginations, not at all facts.
John Lennon wanted this. He wanted his voice to sound like it was coming from the moon on "I Am the Walrus". Someone needs to use this plugin on a cover of "I Am the Walrus". To the Moon, Alice! I'm thinking of other songs we need to do. We need a new version of Bruce Haack's "National Anthem to the Moon".
I've listened to that song on lsd send dmt. The lyrics got more and more distorted as the song went on. Literally sounded like this moon echo by the end of it.
Best surprise ever! I sent Hainbach a sample a few months ago for a mysterious undisclosed project and then forgot about it. I obviously had no idea the sound would be transmitted to the moon and back. Just brilliant. Thank you so much, Stefan!
Whoa. This is like a mini documentary with so many wild insights and sonic delights. Bravo. This is truly epic and we really feel the shear amount of effort and time put into this video, let alone the development of the plug-in and then to give it away. So gracious. Thankfully you guys are lunatics.
As an Audio Engineer and a Amateur Radio operator, I think this is one of the absolute coolest things you've done! Can't wait to try the plugin!! 73 de Mark, VA3HES
This sounds incredible. I found the distorted vocal echoes you captured reminiscent of some of Ben Burtt’s voice treatments in the original Star Wars film (“We’re passing through the magnetic field…”). I think, like Walter Murch did with THX1138, he sent the dry voices out from a shortwave radio transmitter and re-recorded the results on a detuned receiver, giving a uniquely warped, ring mod type effect…
The coolest Hainbach project to date! And right on the 55th anniversary of the first moon landing, which from my perspective marks the pinnacle of human ambition and achievement. Congratulations again - and thanks for making the plugin available for those who don’t have a radio dish at hand ;-)
Good old EME. The thing I love about EME is that it demonstrates the distance between the Earth and the Moon and also the speed of light in a vacuum, in more ways than one. Antenna designs are tuned based on the speed of light in a vacuum and the velocity factor of the metals used to make the antenna. If science were wrong about the speed of light and the velocity factor of different metals, these antennas would not work well enough. Since the efficacy of these antennas prove that we are correct about these things, we can now use those same antennas to measure the round trip time for an echo off of the Moon. Since we know the speed of light in a vacuum and the round trip time, we can estimate the distance between the Moon and the Earth. Some people believe the Moon is actually much closer to the Earth than it actually is, those people also believe lots of other strange things. Those people are wrong. There is a big experiment coming up soon for them!
Wow and the plug in is great. Already using it on a track I am working on now. Very cool and thanks. Appreciate your sharing this and n’ice to see someone else who is inspired by Pauline Oliveros
When I started on my own iOS journey I found your channel almost straight away, enjoying the absolute experimentation of what you do, this one though, this brings me so much joy, and for you and @audiothing to do this for free!? Please keep doing what you folks do
Thanks for making this plugin. I've been fantasizing about doing this for music since I was in highschool, when I went on a ham radio internet research binge.
I fully approve of this. delightful. you've managed to of my favorite topics. Pauline Oliveros' deep listening as well. thanks for the FREE plug-in. amazing.
I can't express how beautiful this whole piece is. I love all the explanation from those adorable space nerds and the sounds this project got. Thanks a lot for your work, this has been a lot of work, for sure.
i just did my first trys playing around with the moon. the plug in will definetly get good use in a film project i m working on. i put it on a track of an old harmonium and it was crazy, already the default setting was magic. no need to touch anything. on piano and percussion tracks it worked also very good. and it just invites to play around with it. phantastic idea. vielen dank!!
I just downloaded Moon Delay, and I think it is great. I can see how great this effect will be for adding lots of character to tracks. Great work on this plugin.
I did something similar to this in my eurorack where i created a sonar ping by sending a gate into my rainmaker, both delay and comb engaged, 100% delay signal. The rainmaker was sent to VCAs (as the object being hit by the sonar) and the sound sources patched into the vca would be the returning signal. Not entirely accurate to sonar at all but a very interesting experiment
The radio spectrum is a goldmine for sounds that are good for music production. Data streams, over-the-horizon radar, and even time signals can become beats very, very easily.
I really do appreciate all your plug ins work on older iPads. This iPod 4 or 6 whatever it is cost 20 pounds and I get to use all your apps which makes it an absolute bargain. Just been playing with the moon echo using the internal mic and it’s insane and tons of fun. I already know I’ll find a ton of uses for it. Thanks @hainbach for your hard work and generosity it’s truly appreciated! ❤️
Mein lieber Herr Gesangsverein, nicht nur, dass mir Video und Plugin sehr viel Spaß beschert haben und (sowas von) werden... Die Kommentare sind auch der Hammer! It's good to have YOU überhaupt, doing all that stuff ! ;)
A day late watching this but as I am sitting in my hotel room in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland watching this video I noticed the moon rising over the mountains! Can’t wait to download it once I get back to the states
Oh wow , This is super cool hainbach ! I am a no plug ins guy but this is fascinating nonetheless . My father in law is a super advanced ham radio operator here in the u.s. . Seriously , his humongous stash of gear and knowledge of electronics puts us all to shame 😏and has long crossed the border of ridiculous .He’s a retired dr of physics and astronomer . He’s well known for his prowess with ‘moon-bounce ‘ broadcasting in ham radio circles . They shoot a signal to the moon synched to mapping software of the moons surface which then lets them bounce the signal to the opposite side of the earth that they normally couldn’t reach . It’s pretty mind blowing . I am a steady viewer of yr work and am appreciative of yr relentless search for new frontiers and yr excellent taste . Cheers sir , happy bouncing !
What a surprise to see my two hobbies getting combined in a youtuber i'm following since many years. The people of camras are so nice to have this fantastic antenna available for crazy experiments! Jan pa3fxb is a great guy! If i knew i was listening along on the day oc recording to capture the sounds with my own dish antenna. Great video Hainbach! Good luck with the moon echo vst!!! 73 dirk on5gs
Thanks for the plugin, for a nice sound I paralleled two, one with doppler the other without. I'm listening to 60s music through it now, it's really beautiful, these days the sound is too crystal clear if you listen to regular radio Your plugin makes it sound (as we call it in Russia) "lampy" (reference to radio tubes in amplifiers). Very nice background noise

Thanks Hainbach, now moon prices on ebay are gonna skyrocket 🙄

LOL perfect comment

Have I got a deal for you! I would like to sell you the Sydney Harbour bridge for the discounted price of $100,000!
I’ve got one I’ll sell you for a great deal.

A message from all music producers around the world: Thank you for taking the time to show us this and make it into a free plugin for everyone to use.

This is so amazing, not only the plugin itself but this whole mini-documentary. Thanks for making it and sharing for free, that's really generous!
the fact that this is free is incredible, thank you so much
What is the biggest instrument you've ever played?
Hainbach: The moon.
