I’m so glad I am finally getting round to it, I’m about to finish sly 2 so will have that up this Friday for you! Thanks for watching and all the comments as well Korppi, you’re a bloody legend
Great to see you cover my personal favourite franchise of the golden PS2 platformers. Also great to see that you’ve gotten such a good viewerbase! Looking forward to you covering Band of Thieves; my favourite PS2 game along with Jak 1 and MGS3! Also, keep them sunny references coming! Love ‘em.
I’m a few hours away from finishing band of thieves and should have the video up on Friday, hopefully it lives up to expectation! Mate, it’s crazy, I still feel used to posting a video and having you and like 4 other people comment on it and then have it fall dead. Starting to feel that momentum and I’m stoked!
@@HowGoodGames With the sheer passion you put into this, you deserve all this growth, and much more, man. Looking forward to continuing watching your channel grow!
This series has been on my list for years! I’ve been playing Sly 1 recently for the first time, it has aged well in many ways but I do get a bit fatigued from the repetitive structure. I might give it another crack based on your review
Yeah same here, glad I’m finally getting around to it. I think everything is over so quickly, since you could do it in one slightly long sitting it didn’t grate on me too much. Especially with the different levels and settings it never felt super copy and paste. Honestly most similar to a Spyro game imo
I’ve been playing sly 2 for about 2 hours now and I’ve just been thinking ‘oh boy… maybe I showered my praise too soon.’ Looking forward to how I tackle that next week
i loved this game when i was a kid and as an adult i can see the series has aged but it is still one of the essential ps2/ps3 expiriences, especially if you like platformers. cant wait to see your take on 3 and thieves in time bout to watch your take on 2
@@HowGoodGames definitely have, with the references to Avatar, movies I love, and the old games from childhood you make the 90s kid in me happy. the games you talk about always seems like something I've played and loved or something ive been debating on getting.
The only time I've ever played sly was the demo in Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal. Been wanting to play this for a while, surprisingly the 2 sequels don't really interest me as much. Also, as someone who makes jokes about how bad Jak 2 is, the little jab got a good laugh out of me. About the 6 hours thing regarding game length, I actually prefer games that are 6-8 hours. Makes replaying them so much easier. I don't want a game that'll take weeks to complete, I won't be able to appreciate it or replay it if that's the case.
Get out of my life, that was exactly the same as me! Had only played the opening level through that demo, I enjoyed it but just didn’t have money to buy my own games then. Yeah I like having short games to break up the big stints in open world games, this is a great one to dip into for a weekend. Plus, that 6 hour ish time included getting the platinum so extra incentive there
Well if you enjoyed it, make sure you stick around, going to be covering the whole series over the next few weeks 😊 thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks Jesse, glad you’re enjoying them! I’m thinking of how to tackle one for sly because it’s basically just ps2/ps3 for the trilogy and ps3 for the last game, but I’ll do some more research and see how to tackle it!
@@HowGoodGames dont know if your against it, but maybe a great game series(since no ps4/5 streaming opions) to incorporate a "you can play this on emulator" with a break down of expected down sides and minimum specs and even a history of emulation of the games since they have gotten alot better over the years. again not certain if your against that for this channel, but either way eager to see the outcome.
Nah it’s a good suggestion, I wasn’t sure around it at first, but I think as long as I buy the games I’m playing and can show that then I’d be comfortable. It would open up a lot more room for content ideas as well, good shout!
I have been hearing whispers that we could be getting some sort of announcement this year... Most Sony studios have two franchises (TLOU and Uncharted with Naughty Dog, Ratchet and Spiderman with Insomniac) so it would make sense for Sucker Punch to do Ghost of Tsushima, the question is does it pair with Sly or Infamous?
@@HowGoodGames that's a good question, me personally I would say Sly Cooper, however if Sucker Punch were to do another Sly game it would most likely be a Remake
So far I’ve played 2 and platinumed 2, which is saying something since I only have a week to play the games and make these videos I don’t have much spare time, but these games are just brilliant. Stick around dude, I’ve never played 3 or 4 yet but will have videos up on those ideally within the month! Consider subscribing if you’re interested in them if you haven’t already!
This one I started at 8am and finished at about 3pm to post that afternoon since I was running behind this week, so I’d say it’s taking me about an hour a minute for where I’m at? My first video in Jan took me 2 weeks to edit though, real slog fest haha
In this video you can see how Sly Cooper, 20 years later, still manages to turn people into furries. Welcome to the club =) 😆 This game is really something else, it's so much fun! Can't wait to hear your opinions on the rest of the saga :D
Bruh you’re telling me. Nice to find my peoples I finished editing and posted this one about an hour ago, booting up sly 2 now to have up next week. I’m super keen to get stuck in!
Ok lot to unpack here. 1. When I first read that I deadset thought you asked me if I’m actually funny, and I thought oh god I hope so. 2. I’ve never really thought of myself as a furry but 3. If I was asked to name 10 furry characters that were hot I wouldn’t even need to think about it. Plus Lola bunny in space jam and Jessica rabbit made things confusing for everyone I think
@@HowGoodGames Hahahaha, ok that's hilarious, you're funny AND entertaining my dude, don't worry. This is how we all start, join the dark side... We have cookies :D
Hope you played sly 1 on og ps2 copy, heard they majorly messes up the miss ruby boss fight on the triple pack, sly Cooper series is awesome, sly 3 can't be beat imo, and still waiting for sly 5 though feel like it'll never come
I did it on the ps3 collection. I heard the same about the audio and syncing in the boss fight, but honestly I didn’t notice anything off and got it first try. Disclaimer, I was also watching a footy game that was going down to the wire at the same time so I might have missed it lol
Thanks Brody, really appreciate that! I’m planning on doing all of them over the next few weeks and should have Sly 2 up either tomorrow night or the following! Subscribe and hit the bell if you haven’t already so you get notified when they drop!
nice video, but Sly cooper don't use cel shading, it's just goround shading with stylized textures and some outlines, if you where fooled by it, it means the devs where really good at their job.
Thank you man, and consider me fooled. I think I remember reading they referred to it as toon shading or something like that, but however games go to pull it off technically, I think it leads to such a great shading result at the end of the day
You’re lucky, I’m in Australia and we don’t even get ps now. Dug up an old ps3 for this haha. Thanks for watching and commenting as well! Appreciate it 😊
