While it's kind of a bummer a lot of interesting entries don't have footage, it surprised me that something was actually new to me. I'm a long time fan of the Cooper Gang, and I seriously thought I knew almost everything about it! Great iceberg!
Ah yeah, I grew up with this game. I remember my two brothers and I got the 2nd one a year or so after it came out and played it religiously. And then we rented 3 and played it like 2 days straight. These days i like playing through the trilogy every few years but I'm not too big into the 4th game.
This is currently my favorite video. As a fan of the franchise since 2005 (when I got the first game for Christmas as a 4 year old and became OBSESSED; don't even get me started on how I reacted when I finally learned how to read and found that little thevius raccoonus game manual with hints at the 2nd game), I genuinely thought I knew most all there was to know. And yet now as I watch this, I'm not only surprised but absolutely ECSTATIC to find that there's even more to know about the franchise I grew up with. This video freaking rocks. It's so rare to find any iceberg videos with as much obscure information as this one, this is seriously awesome work
Here are some things you didn’t talk about that could be worth mentioning in an iceberg video: - The Cooper ancestors are named after Sucker Punch employees - The password is: Chetkido - Sly 3 advertisement on Xmas bus - The Diamond of Tuxmal - Sly Cooper: To Catch a Thief - Sly Cooper manga - Sly 4 has no Japanese release - Moo Goo
I think the Transylvania level with the bat (whose name was Dr. Mortimor, by the way) is actually from a scrapped game called Network of Thieves originally in development in 2008. I’ve been told it got shelved when Sanzaru started working on what eventually became Sly 4, and it never got recalled.
Making a nightmare level with Sly made all the sense in the world because Sly literally WITNESSED HIS PARENTS BEING KILLED IN A (most likely) BRUTAL WAY, that had to cause some trauma or mental toll in him, it's impossible to witnessed something like that and be mentally ok after it, the trilogy missed a good oportunity to expand on that, Sanzaru had a good chance to do something with it but for whatever reason they didn't pulled the plug
So, here I am at 3:10 AM, just watched an hour and a half Iceberg video of my favorite video game franchise in the world, and I don't regret one second of it. Sly Cooper is one of the most important video game franchises of all time for me, and even if I don't own all the games or merch (or anything like what slycooperrocks101 had 😅), I still loved this Iceberg and am so happy to see that Sly got justice with a Iceberg video of his own. Thank you so much for making this, you definitely earned a sub! BTW, I discovered this shark at 1:38:52 in around 2017 and was absolutely amazed and surprised that no one had posted about it on TH-cam but one guy. I hoped to make a video of my own someday and show this shark and get lots of attention, but I'm happier that it got mentioned on this Iceberg.
Bro another very dark mission u didn't mention: Murray throwing guards at the boiling water pump to destroy it....the painful sounds the guards make traumatized me as a kid
@@necus64 is it in the France one? Episode one. I redid it the other day since I’ve got a ps3 but couldn’t understand what paskal was saying abt them making noises.
My favorite Murray quotes “ I might be big…and not as smart as the other guys… but one thing I’m not is WEAK!” And “The seats gotta go back farther than this.” And finally “ no sly I am not going to help you with violence “
1:32:00 - It's not just the Loud House. One of the episodes of the first season of Jeff Goldblum's Disney+ show has two tracks from Thieves in Time: the aforementioned rooftop theme and the main theme. Looking further into it, it seemed these respective tracks were, intentionally or otherwise, bundled into what appears to be a royalty-free music pack that sound engineers and music mixers use for tv. I have yet to find the actual music pack but this is no coincidence.
Technical fact about the movie. It was discovered that the trailer for it was actually a pitch Rainmaker submitted to Sony, and they repackaged it as a movie trailer. The film wasn't even in production when 2016 came around.
I'm so glad you added the fruitcake thing omg. I remember pointing that out to my dad just to confirm that was messed up (he agreed) and I was waiting for you to mention it the whole time
I also found out that in the second part of the general tsao fight, I accidentally knocked him up instantly killed him, like the attack that kills the guards from behind (using triangle then square). Idk if this was pointed out yet or not, but very interesting! And i might’ve recorded it when I was playing the trilogy version of 3. EDIT: I killed him at half of his hp with the knockup attack, i can provide footage for you if this is intersting enough.

Carmelitas character was eviscerated in Sly4. The belly dance level would have fit perfectly in probably a different level tbh. Bro you can see her ribs too.
I was working on developing Sly Cooper 4 DLC for fun, incorporating the Egypt level & whatnot. While I'm currently focused on another game, I do hope to revisit the project in the future. Also #freeslyfromegypt
I may have somewhat of a theory regarding Dimitri's special intro mentioned at 47:20 So, I once played this demo of Sly 2 (possibly coupled with one of the Ratched & Clank games) and I remember it including the beginning heist from the game as well as this particular trailing mission, nothing else. After the beginning heist the game simply throws you straight into the trailing mission and all the context the demo provides is what Bentley says at the beginning of the mission. We don't get to see the chapter intro introducing Dimitri, so the first time he is shown is when he comes out of the boat. I think there are two (potentially overlapping) possibilities why Dimitri in particular has a special intro: 1) It was merely made with this demo in mind. Given how the player is just dropped into the mission without any other context, this was a way to showcase one of the game's villains for a demo player. And given how the main trio were introduced in a similar manner, it doesn't really look out of place since he _is_ pretty much as important character as them. 2) At the time of making the demo, the devs did intend to have a special intro for each of the bosses as well and they structured the trailing mission's cutscenes with that idea in mind. But for whatever reason, the idea was scrapped for the rest of them. Yet since the special intro was already made for Dimitri _and_ showcased in the demo, they decided to just keep it. Ever since I played the game and the demo, I had theorized 1) to be the reason for this oddly singular villain intro. But this video made me realize that this demo is probably not that well-known _or_ played for most other people to reach the same conclusion. I hope this gave some additional perspective for this.
Just want to point out for the “Believe you me” dialogue, that is a real English phrase, so Muggshott’s voice actor just ad libbed that part of the line and the subtitles weren’t updated to match.
I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but the 3D sections of Sly 3 are still in 3D on the PS3. The PS3 has 3D TV support, and if you have a 3D TV then those sections are in 3D!
More entries I'd like to add: In Sly 3 you can glitch into most werehouses using Bently's remote camera bomb and spamming the graple. This can sometimes pass some narrow gaps, even the treasure room in the skull fort in episode 5. In the same episode while sailing and fighting other captains, it is possible to one-shot a captain with the triangle triangle X or 3triple triangle X with sly. this happened to me only once. something that maybe belong to the upper layers but Murry's triangle square move is almost an insta kill to anything, a stun and a kick. Panda King has only two playable missions, he too got a binocucom. Bently's sucking vortex bomb can be detonated mid air. this will cause the target to tuble as it shrink. (had lots of fun doing this on the plane's ramp in episode 3). In the presentation of bently for operation Moonfall, one slide will show Bently from Sly 2 using the mojo collector. Sly cant hit a flashligh guard with a triangle X move that has more than one triangle (guess they are too heavy.) and lastly a well known theory is circulating that the Clockwerck is a time guardian trying to destroy the Sly paradox which came to be since Sly ends in Egypt and become the first ancestor. (there is a video showing that the egyptian Sly in Sly 3 And in sly 1 are two different racoons as one is the 1st and the other is 3rd or 2nd or something like that) the Clockwerk got corrupted since each ancestor dies solves nothing because the only family memeber that should have died is Sly himself. one last thing that I cannot prove since my PS3 and PS2 arent working as intended- while playing as Dimitri and going to the surface if possible (like in episode 5) his bionocucum/ scuba diving goggles change a bit.
Btw the reason Sly's hat is misplaced during some of the binocucom cutscenes is because he has an idle animation where he leans on his cane and pushes his hat up.
As a kid born in 2002 and grew up with games, Sly being my fave franchise. Im more surprised at how much I already knew about this stuff due to me constantly playing the series over and over. Like how I would use the bouncy cheese as Carmalita in the Mugshot bossfight because it made the fight tediously easy too discover that little cutscene glitch. To remembering the old youtube videos of the guy doing edits for their own Sly 4 thieves in time. I could never forget that and if I recall correctly it included Bently jumping constantly to "If you wanna be my lover"? No clue but thanks for this retour down memory lane. I enjoyed the re-ride.
In sly 2 I was doing a mission to follow Neyla and I was tryna hit a guard and it hit Neyla and the screen said “job failed “ “Neyla doesent like getting hit anymore than you”
15:06 I remember pressing random buttons and finding this as a kid, i was so excited to show my brother and that is how we found the series. It's a bit sad that newer generations likely won't experience finding something few people know about, considering the all info is on the internet. The plus side now obviously is you're less likley to miss out on something these days.
I thought I was crazy! That Mz Ruby fight was so bad in the port, but I had no idea there was a legitimate reason for it. I just assumed it was harder than I remembered it being or something
In regards to Bentley (Matt Olsen) saying ‘That’s a nice one.’ It was an older line but was overlooked when they were replacing with new audio. Matt wasn’t available to to record a new line due to attending a family members funeral which was in a different country. They were going to mix something out of what they already had but Matt wouldn’t sign to say he would allow them to do so (it wasn’t part of his original contract for them to remix his personal dialogue) Matt insisted he wasn’t trying to be difficult but wasn’t in the right mind frame to be signing anything that would allow them to use his voice recordings not as originally intended in the future.
One thing I never noticed anybody bring up is why in Sly 2, the Clockwerk parts just keep changing size throughout the game. In the animated cutscenes, the tail feathers, which in game were pretty massive next to Sly, were so tiny that Sly was able to hold them in his hand. Same with the eyes. Clockwerk's fully built body also changed size a couple times throughout the last episode as well. His body became MUCH larger when you landed on Clock-La during the last mission.
1:31:09 Oh my god FINALLY someone mentions this!!! It has always bothered me since the second game that Sly NEVER mentions his mom!! Its always his dad which makes sense and he even mentions BOTH his parents died that night But WHY does he never bring her up otherwise?
I know it’s newer info but for anyone finding this now, 2CPhoenix has done an incredible breakdown of Sly 2 and one big thing they discover through exploration of pre-release stuff and interviews is that Sly 2 originally had a series of collectible loot paintings inside buildings. This explains a bunch of things on the iceberg like the room with no purpose in the nightclub, the briefcases above Dimitri’s office and the save vault door in the spice room.
-i dont know who the hell sly cooper is- but OVER ONE AND A HALF HOURS OF NEESTER GAWD DAYUM and it appears the reason why i didnt know who sly cooper was is stated in the video. neat.
Re: Mugshot saying "Believe you me"- It's still a mistake since the subtitles don't match, but even though it grammatically doesn't make sense, "believe you me" is a sort of old-timey phrasing of that expression that people used to use way more than they do now. My grandpa always phrased it that way. So Mugshot saying it, since he's got that 1940s vibe, is actually pretty correct!
My nephew found the "Murray picking up the dynamite" thing out of nowhere, I been playing Sly Cooper for YEARS and never ever knew you could do that! Dude's a guru😄😄
1:24:26 because time travel is confusing he was only planned to be hung because Toothpick showed up, Clockwerk probably got him in the normal timeline when it was restored
To be fair, Crash Bandicoot 4 writers actually had Coco explain that, when asked how many times she and Crash faced off against Dr.Cortex, it was twice. That meant that the recent "Fourth" Crash Bandicoot game COMPLETELY erased the rest of the Crash games after the first Crash trilogy games. At least from what I got anyways. So in the fans defense, they've considered Thieves in Time as "Non-canon", probably due to the Crash 4 "Confirming" that the rest of the Crash games were considered "Non-canon" by the staff that wrote that game. Not only that, but TiT was left on a cliffhanger, no actual ending and no plausibility that it'll ever be completed story-wise But again, that's what I thought.
43:28 Knowing its actually canon that Murray was drugged by the Contessa with hallucinogenic "spices" makes this even funnier. Murray has been chasing that purple dragon ever since. Yet another child actor ruined by drugs and alcohol. I hear Bentley staged an intervention 😔😔😔💔💔
Solid proof that views number and quality are not necessarily correlated because this is one of the best icebergs and only got 10k views which is a shame It deserves 100k+ like a lot of other
I love seeing so many Sly fans…. Tell me what you guys think about this. I’m a huge Resident Evil fan and I like how Capcom continues the timeline as well as does remakes. If I had complete control over Sly, this is what I’d do in this order: Sly 5: The Master Thief Sly 1 Remake Cooper Chronicles: Origins Every ancestor gets a playable episode. All 28 (named) of em☠️ Sly 2 Remake Cooper Chronicles: Sins of the Father Yep, play as Sly’s dad and actually learn about and see his mom Sly 3 Remake Sly 4 Remake Sly 6: Thief’s Legacy God of War 4 ish vibe with bearded Sly and his 14 year old son Kai.
okay im kind of suprised this didnt make it into the video but... the ending of sly 4 is supposed to imply a time loop where sly becomes slytenkahmen after being stuck in ancient egypt and then with his knowledge from the future creating the cooper vault and everything. it also lines up with how slytenkahmen is the only one of the ancestors that has sly in the name, like he made it up on the spot and then rolled with it. as far as i know, the only move from the thievius raccoonus that you have to purchase as a gadget in the later games is shadow power also how sly's cane was modified to split in two by Bentley in sly 2 matches the double canes that slytenkahmen is shown to have. there is a LOT of stuff with the story of sly 4 and sly 4 in general that i dont like, but the ending is actually a kind of clever way to tie it together i thought
I've thought of that theory too! Which effectively means that the cooper clan is stuck in a time loop for eternity, always looping back to start up with Sly as his own ancestor. Also kinda disturbing if you think about it from a cosmic standpoint.
I wish that, if they just weren't creative enough to keep up with the characters personalities and HAD to make them one note, that they gave murray more of a gym bro kind of vibe. Instead if the fat jokes talking about consuming enough protein for his bulk or that he'd love to Rob this restaurant but he's on a cut right now. Idk, something better than the "hardy Har he's fat hardy Har he's a hippo"
You forgot about the ending of Sly 2 and how the part where Clockwork lands in Paris was changed from the gang having to each go the center because they all landed in different places, to what it was at release to them standing all at the same place. There was also likely something else, maybe a fight or destruction, since a piece of scenery could be destroyed with some destruction animation for it. Plus there's a very rare chance where in Cairo where if you dive down on a certain table, the table will fling you up the map. Prob common but mega jumping into the safe house on episode 3. Plus the name changes for some loot between versions. Maybe also mention how sanzaru just removed behind the scenes and some trailers from sly 1+2 cuz they suck. Prob more I cant remember but this is what I feel like you missed.
Another thing about Panda King being first: Sly was originally going to learn the “climb” move from Panda King’s vault, but Sucker Punch made it to where he could climb things from the start and changed Panda King’s Thievius Raccoonus pages to contain a turret and a battering ram added to the Cooper Van.
He also heavily foreshadows what move he's about to do next during his boss fight, which is odd considering Sir Raleigh, Muggshot and Mz. Ruby don't do that; reinforcing that the Panda King was meant to be the first boss.
There is a glitch in Go West Young Raccoon (Sly 4) where standing on a ledge with Tennesee Kid Cooper and shooting his gun puts him in T-pose with his gun floating next to him.
Just completed a sly cooper marathon and I loved every single game. As someone who missed out on the hype of Sly growing up, coming back to these games in 2024, really makes me wish they didn’t leave 4 in a cliff hangar like that. Also Sly and the gang are some of the better written characters compared to ratchet and clank and jak and daxter, imo.
Everybody missing the fact that Bentley said "Whassssuuuuuppppp" in his text message to Penelope, THAT'S a reference to the one commercial some years ago!
Lots of good info here, I do however have one correction. 1:38:50 We do have something of an idea. Because her look for the TV series got leaked, and since they were following a more simplified movie design, we can guess just how much more detailed it would've been.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that Penelope in Sly 3 and Penelope in Sly 4 are actually twins - with the one in Sly 3 being the *mostly* good twin (she was engaged in certain criminal activities, as it were), and the one in Sly 4 is the more evil one. My idea is that the Evil twin found out about the Good one's success, got jealous, encountered La Paradox, and they abducted the Good one, and made her make the various gadgets and such, with the Good one being stuck back in the Medieval days.
my favorite episode has to be the Canada stage, not only Jean has such a charisma that hits the spot just right, the music settings when outside hits the spot considering the area, and it's in my country 😻😻😻
I want to add that the thing at 1:24:38 I wouldn’t say is accurate. Yeah he says he would’ve been hung, but the only reason he was at the jail was due to time shenanigans by Le Paradox and Toothpick. Which means we don’t know how Tennessee would’ve died in the true timeline of Sly Cooper.
Good video but the take about "how can a video game run out of budget" is such an L take that I seriously rolled my eyes 💀 Whenever working on a large-scale production, not just video games, running out of budget is extremely common. Almost every video game has stuff cut out due to budget.
To say about the Mz. Ruby fight, I literally played it today, and did exactly that, after 4 failures, I turned off the volume on my headset, and did it in one try without sound xD As long as you can imagine the rhythm in your mind, all is well
OK, but believe you me plays into mugshot's character, so well, it sounds like something he would have missedheard on an old gangster movie and coz. He's not the brightest. He would have said it so confidently that even most people don't even notice. I always. Thought it was intentional.
I'm surprised the Penelope soft-lock glitch in 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' wasn't on here. In Dynamic Duo, when you free Penelope from Skull Keep and have to guide her out of the front windows to drop onto the main ground, if she slides onto a different piece of geometry and lands in a different spot, her model doesn't hit the trigger to continue the mission and will soft-lock you in the binocucom cutscene. This happens in all versions of Sly 3 as far as I know.

It's so rare to find any iceberg videos with as much obscure information as this one, this is seriously awesome work
Totally agree buddy
I’m shocked you didn’t talk about the arduous racing level from Sly 1, literally made me nearly give up the whole series. Awesome video nonetheless
You mean the Murray race thingy? Yea that was suffering
Its not too bad once you try it 15 times in a row c'mon
Here are some things you didn’t talk about that could be worth mentioning in an iceberg video:
- The Cooper ancestors are named after Sucker Punch employees
- The password is: Chetkido
- Sly 3 advertisement on Xmas bus
- The Diamond of Tuxmal
- Sly Cooper: To Catch a Thief
- Sly Cooper manga
- Sly 4 has no Japanese release
- Moo Goo
Can you explain on these
*Horseshoe subject*
"Kinda like a totem in Minecraft!"
*Eye twitches from everyone who ever played Crash Bandicoot...*
What about the floating heart thingies in Rayman Legends? They also act as a single-use shield for otherwise a character that dies in a single hit
Bro another very dark mission u didn't mention: Murray throwing guards at the boiling water pump to destroy it....the painful sounds the guards make traumatized me as a kid
what game is that in? I dont remember that
@@Freddyfredster in Sly 2
@@necus64 is it in the France one? Episode one. I redid it the other day since I’ve got a ps3 but couldn’t understand what paskal was saying abt them making noises.
@@Freddyfredster yes in the France episode
My favorite Murray quotes
“ I might be big…and not as smart as the other guys… but one thing I’m not is WEAK!”
And
“The seats gotta go back farther than this.”
And finally
“ no sly I am not going to help you with violence “
Honestly your best video to date
Its interesting, well edited, everything a good video needs
41:46 "Bentley, you've created a time paradox.... Fantastic work, the wheelchair hasn't slowed ya down one bit!"
ALMOST 2 HOURS OF NEESTERHERE!?!? 😍
He sounds so professional 😭 if i had a biography this man needs to be the narrator.
The film wasn't even in production when 2016 came around.
i love iceberg videos totally happy you did one! thank you for asking me to do some art for you >:3
@CibRubber no
I'm so glad you added the fruitcake thing omg.
EDIT:
I killed him at half of his hp with the knockup attack, i can provide footage for you if this is intersting enough.
@@otdreamer193I uploaded it you can check it out.
Idk if my comments were getting deleted for having a link or not so sorry if I am spamming you
was gonna comment this but you did you can use a couple moves to make tsao vunrable to the sneek attack i use the knockout dive i think
this is a known glitch, i remember seeing it on youtube 10 years ago
1:34:18 I got curious and did some digging, and I'm fairly sure I found the video in question. It's uploaded on my channel.
Thank you for your service!!
6:08 I have never seen Clockwork in episode 3, I always thought they didn't put an Easter egg there because he just didn't exist yet
Can't believe the amount of work and research that went into making this video! The result is absolutely amazing!
Great video, love sly cooper and love iceberg videos, very well produced, I just wish there was video footage of all of the entries. Keep up the great work!
This is probly one of the longest Neester Videos i watched, worth every fucking second. This man has been a legend ever since i watched His First Video and im very glad i Stuck around ❤
Carmelitas character was eviscerated in Sly4. The belly dance level would have fit perfectly in probably a different level tbh.
Bro you can see her ribs too.
I miss my boy sly cooper bro where'd he go 😭
(Murray is the best character)
I was working on developing Sly Cooper 4 DLC for fun, incorporating the Egypt level & whatnot. While I'm currently focused on another game, I do hope to revisit the project in the future.

I may have somewhat of a theory regarding Dimitri's special intro mentioned at 47:20
So, I once played this demo of Sly 2 (possibly coupled with one of the Ratched & Clank games) and I remember it including the beginning heist from the game as well as this particular trailing mission, nothing else. After the beginning heist the game simply throws you straight into the trailing mission and all the context the demo provides is what Bentley says at the beginning of the mission. We don't get to see the chapter intro introducing Dimitri, so the first time he is shown is when he comes out of the boat.
I think there are two (potentially overlapping) possibilities why Dimitri in particular has a special intro:
1) It was merely made with this demo in mind.
The PS3 has 3D TV support, and if you have a 3D TV then those sections are in 3D!
the Sly Cooper rocks 101 video has actualy been re-uploaded a few months after this video launched
I still play the trilogy on PS2 after 2 decades as Sly Cooper is my favorite video game franchise aside from Grand Theft Auto.
In sly 2 I was doing a mission to follow Neyla and I was tryna hit a guard and it hit Neyla and the screen said “job failed “
“Neyla doesent like getting hit anymore than you”
15:06 I remember pressing random buttons and finding this as a kid, i was so excited to show my brother and that is how we found the series. It's a bit sad that newer generations likely won't experience finding something few people know about, considering the all info is on the internet. The plus side now obviously is you're less likley to miss out on something these days.
neester:THIS IS THE SICKEST SHIT EVER
serious neester:welcome to my iceberg
28:40 also a cool detail with the checkpoints actually in game, is that whenever it gets activated it takes a picture of sly
A movie length of neesterhere😩👌
I thought I was crazy! That Mz Ruby fight was so bad in the port, but I had no idea there was a legitimate reason for it. I just assumed it was harder than I remembered it being or something
In regards to Bentley (Matt Olsen) saying ‘That’s a nice one.’ It was an older line but was overlooked when they were replacing with new audio. Matt wasn’t available to to record a new line due to attending a family members funeral which was in a different country. They were going to mix something out of what they already had but Matt wouldn’t sign to say he would allow them to do so (it wasn’t part of his original contract for them to remix his personal dialogue) Matt insisted he wasn’t trying to be difficult but wasn’t in the right mind frame to be signing anything that would allow them to use his voice recordings not as originally intended in the future.
there’s a lot to unpack with that PSP Carmelita concept art… what are those sound effects for her spinning her gun?
One thing I never noticed anybody bring up is why in Sly 2, the Clockwerk parts just keep changing size throughout the game. In the animated cutscenes, the tail feathers, which in game were pretty massive next to Sly, were so tiny that Sly was able to hold them in his hand. Same with the eyes.
Clockwerk's fully built body also changed size a couple times throughout the last episode as well. His body became MUCH larger when you landed on Clock-La during the last mission.
I think its funny that the crowd in the dance scene in episode 2 doesn’t hear Murray saw off the wings or taking them off the statue lol 😆
1:31:09
Oh my god FINALLY someone mentions this!!! It has always bothered me since the second game that Sly NEVER mentions his mom!! Its always his dad which makes sense and he even mentions BOTH his parents died that night
But WHY does he never bring her up otherwise?
They likely didn't consider her role in the story and said "let's pretend she's not important at all"
Unpopular opinion
Sly 4 thieves in times may not be the best but certainly is a very valid sequel
I know it’s newer info but for anyone finding this now, 2CPhoenix has done an incredible breakdown of Sly 2 and one big thing they discover through exploration of pre-release stuff and interviews is that Sly 2 originally had a series of collectible loot paintings inside buildings. This explains a bunch of things on the iceberg like the room with no purpose in the nightclub, the briefcases above Dimitri’s office and the save vault door in the spice room.
-i dont know who the hell sly cooper is- but OVER ONE AND A HALF HOURS OF NEESTER
GAWD DAYUM
and it appears the reason why i didnt know who sly cooper was is stated in the video.
Very well made video and really good iceberg. Awesome stuff 🔥🔥
Not only that, but TiT was left on a cliffhanger, no actual ending and no plausibility that it'll ever be completed story-wise
But again, that's what I thought.
Nice video! I love sly cooper and this appearing in my feed brought back a lot of memories
Greatest game series of all time
Solid proof that views number and quality are not necessarily correlated because this is one of the best icebergs and only got 10k views which is a shame
It deserves 100k+ like a lot of other
I love seeing so many Sly fans…. Tell me what you guys think about this. I’m a huge Resident Evil fan and I like how Capcom continues the timeline as well as does remakes. If I had complete control over Sly, this is what I’d do in this order:
Sly 5: The Master Thief
Sly 1 Remake
Cooper Chronicles: Origins
Every ancestor gets a playable episode. All 28 (named) of em☠️
Sly 2 Remake
Cooper Chronicles: Sins of the Father
Yep, play as Sly’s dad and actually learn about and see his mom
Sly 3 Remake
Sly 4 Remake
Sly 6: Thief’s Legacy
God of War 4 ish vibe with bearded Sly and his 14 year old son Kai.
34:00 actually, the loot you see in the overworlds were originally supposed to be in interiors and this was one of the locations for them
okay im kind of suprised this didnt make it into the video but... the ending of sly 4 is supposed to imply a time loop where sly becomes slytenkahmen after being stuck in ancient egypt and then with his knowledge from the future creating the cooper vault and everything.
it also lines up with how slytenkahmen is the only one of the ancestors that has sly in the name, like he made it up on the spot and then rolled with it.
as far as i know, the only move from the thievius raccoonus that you have to purchase as a gadget in the later games is shadow power
also how sly's cane was modified to split in two by Bentley in sly 2 matches the double canes that slytenkahmen is shown to have.
there is a LOT of stuff with the story of sly 4 and sly 4 in general that i dont like, but the ending is actually a kind of clever way to tie it together i thought
I've thought of that theory too! Which effectively means that the cooper clan is stuck in a time loop for eternity, always looping back to start up with Sly as his own ancestor. Also kinda disturbing if you think about it from a cosmic standpoint.
1:14:29
I couldn't find a picture of it either.
Which is crazy because every other Binocucom has been documented.
Ive never heard of this game and now im interesed im going to go try it all out. Wish me like
Oh my gosh! Did you play them? I'd love to hear the experience of someone new to the series!!
The canonically calling a guard a bitch section had me laughing so hard lol
I always thought those weird black shadows on Murray’s mask were oil stains.
I believe that if they picked the movie up again, they NEED to do a spider-verse esqe style. It would be perfect.
There is a glitch in Go West Young Raccoon (Sly 4) where standing on a ledge with Tennesee Kid Cooper and shooting his gun puts him in T-pose with his gun floating next to him.
3:09 uhhh hearing this theme made my heart jump!
its amazing to finally get confirmation that the fanmade sly 4 video was actually real and not something i imagined 😂
This is by far one of the best Iceberg videos ever made
Bro your so fucking quick with this shit man great work also i would love to see more iceberg videos
Lots of good info here, I do however have one correction.
1:38:50 We do have something of an idea. Because her look for the TV series got leaked, and since they were following a more simplified movie design, we can guess just how much more detailed it would've been.
Where was this leak at?
@@winnerdinger589The Artist was J. Splaz. He'd been posting online randomly after the official cancellation. I caught some of it back when he had a Twitter; both official and rejected arts. Of course since the project failed, I guess that means they're ALL rejected concept arts.
It should be illegal for game companies to end a game on a cliffhanger and then just drop the IP and story altogether... I miss Sly 😭
The music fromy sly 2 are something incredible
Found the slycooperrocks101 person on deviant art btw last post was from 2015 tho
OMG!! You mentioned slycooperrocks101!! I used to watch them all the time! I thought they were so cool. I dreamed of having their room 😂 Their videos forever live in my memories 🖤
34:00 that secret room was likely just going to be where a treasure would be hidden
my favorite episode has to be the Canada stage, not only Jean has such a charisma that hits the spot just right, the music settings when outside hits the spot considering the area, and it's in my country 😻😻😻
Sly’s opp being Nathan Drake is what rly got me tbh 😂
fun fact: in the german boxart of sly 4, it says “sly cooper: jagd durch die zeit” which translates to “sly cooper: the hunt through time”
Good video but the take about "how can a video game run out of budget" is such an L take that I seriously rolled my eyes 💀
Whenever working on a large-scale production, not just video games, running out of budget is extremely common.
Almost every video game has stuff cut out due to budget.
The orphan joke impelled me to sub
To say about the Mz. Ruby fight, I literally played it today, and did exactly that, after 4 failures, I turned off the volume on my headset, and did it in one try without sound xD As long as you can imagine the rhythm in your mind, all is well
Sly Cooper legit gets me so emotional hearing others talk about it.
I cant believe they just dropped everything
It deserves a reboot!
