Farymann Diesel 15D 1 cylinder diesel engine. Brand new engine first start. Starter crank didnt show up in the mail so hd to improvise with some pvc. This engine ran great and think this engine is more fun than the yanmar 1 cylinders ive had. Makes just over 5hp and unsure of the torque.
Love the handle, so much better than a recoil pull.
Y’a need to get that stand up higher so it’s easier to start. And as the parts, well, so they can be located quickly. My first diesel is in a Kubota tractor, wished I had got one many, many years ago! Against my wishes my f.i.l., advised my to get an old 8n, it was and is a great tractor. After nursing it along, about 8 years ago, I got the Kubota and oh how I’ve never looked back. Great little 3 cyl diesel!
As parts fall off of it. Too funny. Nice motor!
You don't need lock washers. The chunk of plywood is not a test stand.
I put on lock washers after that and they have been great since👍

Diesel is the future for cars, every other country is using em except us here in the US, we only have em in some old cars, & mostly 3/4ton trucks.
The EPA keeps killing em off w harsh DPF regulations. We’ve got some big new trucks that get 30mpg w no DPF just a straight pipe. Image what a car can get 40-50mpg w proper tuning.
My 27yrs old non turbo f250 gets 16-20mpg abt the same as a new 1/2 ton truck or the same as some minivans. My dads 04 Yukon that weighs the same as my truck gets 12-13mpg w a smaller motor, my 7.3 idi gets 16-17 sometimes 20 on the highway.

Haha, yes it was flimsy but it was a good hack until i got the metal starter. The metal one is very strong and i have since retired the temporary pvc one lol

I have a farymann. K34. How do I know whether to crank it clockwise or counter clockwise to manual start it?
I have an K30 , starting it counter clockwise
The angled notches on the hand crank should only let you crank it one way, that way when the engine starts and the shaft that the handle is slid onto, goes faster than you are cranking, the angled notches kick/eject the hand crank. Kind of like threads on a nut unscrewing from a spinning bolt...
I was able to hand crank it. Yes the notches only allowed you to crank it in one direction. I have since removed the engine from my boat and replaced it with an electric motor. Much better
How much is it and where you bought it from ?
Hey, purchased it from a seller on ebay for $1,060 shipped from texas. I think theres a fews others on there from other sells in a similar price point. Worth buying before they sell and cant find them anymore!

Def Res I purchased it from ebay, it was $1062 with taxes, seller shipped it free.

@@lashawnknowles2491 yeah, its really good quality though relative to cheaper chines alternatives. I liked it. Wont be using it for anything, more just for amusement.

I should have spent more, and bought a German one, instead of Chinese.
I was in the same boat, debating a china model for around $500, but the design and refinement of this one was too good to pass up. Ive had yanmars in the past and its hard to go down in quality after that.

Yes that's good...we have to avoid the Chinese products.... china is a big trouble maker..due to that Wuhan virus the whole world is stagnated...
