Why did you take bolts out of power steering? Like it didn’t come out. Is bolts connected to alternator or is power steering in the way of it?

if i had to guess, the power steering pump was possibly in the way for the alternator to slide out. its been awhile since i did this job, so i cant remember what my thought process was for removing, but i must have done it due to me seeing a interference.

@hyr0llr I saw another video where the power steering pump doesn't have to be removed all of the way, just slid forward. I'm pulling mine today, will let you know if that is true or not. Thanks for taking the time to show us shadetree mechanics.

All depends on level of experience with tools. At a casual pace, should be a hour or so

For anyone that might need to know... One side of the square connector releases by, now hold on, this is where we have to have a clear understanding of PSP... Push, squeeze, pull... The clip on the connector has to be pushed in to release, so pretend your picking something up with your thumb and forefinger 🤏, I like to use my thumb on the clip side and squeeze to release and pull the connector off.... It can be a little stubborn so it might take a semi-hard tug. If you are unsure which side is the clip side that needs to be squeezed....if you have your new alternator already you can look at it and if not it should be towards the top and on the rubber connector cover it says "push" if you need to use a mirror or snap a cellphone pic and if push, squeeze, pull comes to shove just close your eyes and "use the Force you must"
