Wish they wouldn't just have the one light on dipped beam. Ruins the look from the front

Yip you would think by now after all the negative comments about lop sided front lights, manufacturers would of got the message and quit doing it. Oh well, such a shame.

C’mon Triumph…it’s 2021, you’ve got ride by wire, but you left off cruise control on a “touring” bike?

Obviously you do not listen to the buying public, this bike should definitely have been offered with cruise control ( just watch the other TH-camrs) and the amount of people referring to lack of cruise option. I was so looking forward to this bike as a replacement for my Bonneville and just love it but no cruise control option, sorry Triumph you just lost a customer.

Listen and listen good. I have a trident 660. And I have a tiger 1200XCA. The 660 engine is perfect. It shifts great. Here are the problems. The gearing is horrible. The RPMS are at 6500 at 65mph. It vibrates like crazy, The seat is absolutely horrible. It leans down towards the tank and crushes the testicles. ANything over 1 hour and I want to destroy the bike. By the looks of it. The seat on the tiger 660 is the same way. WTF TRIUMPH?? Also, like the bigger 1200, put heated grips and a COMFORTABLE heated Seat.

Interesting! Seems a good competitor to the Kawasaki Versys 650, which I loved. But, I am waiting, more, for the Adventure version of this, to compete with the Yamaha Tenere 700.

      I have a Tiger800 Road 2012. Love it to death. th-cam.com/video/07ajgPk4xHQ/w-d-xo.html
But I don't ever see how a Triple is going to rock out on a Twin of any kind for a primary dirt ride. That being said I love the fact that there is a new middle weight class again. I had a 550ES Suzuki in the 80's and 5-600cc were middle weight bikes. Now it's 900 and shit. That's bullshit.

Just what I’ve been looking for! Great to see a mid size touring bike with a sport/ road focus from Triumph. For me I never want to ride off road but like the riding position and ergonomics of an adventure bike. I’m not interested in litre bikes either(done that), but it will still have more than the performance most people will need. The bike looks good too! Cheers 🙂

Here in Turkey for 2021 we pay under 649 cc about the 400 Turkish Lira per year, abowe the 650 cc we pay about the 1000 Turkish Lira per year. Im belive more difference in 2022. Its really big point for desicion. I really dont want to pay yearly tax more than twice just for 11 more cc.

$9450 USD with no QS, Bluetooth, and Cruise Control, where plenty of new F900XR cost around $11k, with all the features included with a better TFT screen and better hardware(seriously look at the brake caliper on Triumph, ridiculous)...

off road capability for a country like India matters a lot. Upswept exhaust too is needed if you gonna do water crossings. Instead of road based tires we can have dual purpose tires 70-30 (Road/off-road). Still this looks really good and checks quite a few boxes. Great work Triumph.

Looks good. I'd wish an EU5 Tiger Sport with minimum 900 ccm with this design. The Tiger 1050 Sport is out, the Tiger 900 looks to much hardcore enduro. The Tiger 1200 is to heavy an to big for me. And -sorry, I've been riding motorbike for 41 years - 660ccm is me to little.

  • @rockySCR

Very nice bike just what I want but I won't be buying one because Triumph doesn't send full versions to Australia only LAMS. I don't understand and am really angry about it. Kawasaki versys 650 comes in both versions . Not all experienced riders want a big thumping tourer,a 80hp triple with the luggage perfect for eating up the miles in the big land of AUS. I've owned many many Triumphs and will looking for new bike in the new for allround riding but looks like it won't be a Tiger660. Maybe the Versys or Tracer9gt.WTF Triumph.

My height is 5 foot 9 inches, may another half inch with shoes.
if I try this bike, can my both feet touch ground comfortably? I know, I'm a short guy for Tiger 800. Hoping for triumph to offer lowered seat position for Indian customers. 835mm seems pretty high, hope they offer 810-820mm for Indian customers.

They sinned on the Tiger 660 Sport in the points that make a total difference for the brand. The bike's foot rest is not made of aluminum like the 900 or the speed RS, the panel is much simpler (very much so) and they left the cabling super exposed. I would have other comments but these were the most critical.

  • @Estradinhas_do_ES
    @Estradinhas_do_ES 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Tried one and it looks like the gears are too short for a bike that will likely be used for travel. I found the engine very busy at highway speed, reducing the overall confort on long rides. In my humble opinion, a final drive around 16/45 instead of the original 16/51 would be enough to keep good level of acceleration and a relaxed engine speed at highways. If you look at the flat curve of this torquey engine, that makes even more sense.

This has been a long time coming! Looking forward to seeing Triumph's response to the Kawasaki Versys, the Tracer 7 and to a different degree, the Suzuki V-Strom. The problem is that with Triumph, the price might actually place it in competition with the Tracer 9, with which it really couldn't compete performance wise. So price will be key. I have no doubt about how much fun this bike will be. The different ADV bikes out there are simply among the best all around motorcycles ever made.

How is it possible for Chinese companies to design better dashboards, simpler and more functional than a company as experienced as Triumph ... you did wrong there, sorry
ps. trident's dashboard is exquisite, why you don't follow the same approach for this Tiger Sport 660? (it looks like a neo-retro electric coffee maker)

Cruise control and a tinted screen will take that bike to another level.

if it had cruise control I would be selling all I have got and my tracer 700 for that bike straight away... a lot of nice tech features!!! but that cruise controll would be aaaa proper deal breaker.. since it already has ride by wire... :D

Can anybody please tell me the benefit of a cruise control? Never had one, never missed one.

@@steffenreiser8769 if you never missed one means you dont do long distance riding and you dont need cruise control :) the ability to rest your hand on a motorway on a long trip is appreciated. its like one of those things you didnt know you needed when you didnt have it.
Just like heated grips. Dont use them all the time but when time comes, youd be glad to have them

@@emilsoberbro36 @EmilKunda i try to avoid riding on highways or motorways. I prefer the small countryroads in Central Europe and the Alpine Mountains. So I did not feel the for Cruise Control... :-)

I have a versys 650 which I love but want a more premium version of it and I think triumph have nailed it. Lighter, more powerful, more premium and sexy. I need one 😛
