"It" eems to always come back to paradox doesn't it? In "my view", the of the paradox can easily be explained away when you consider that Advaita Vedanta traches about different levels of reality including the two primary ones of Ultimate and Transactional reality. It seems like a lot of teachers love to wallow in paradox and abstract terms that make the ultimate truth seem so much more mysterious and difficult to grasp than it really is. I mean it seems to me that it's clearly a process of using the body and mind which does indeed exist in transactional reality to realize that in Ultimate reality there is indeed no body or mind 1-1=0. It's a pretty simple formula actually but very difficult to accomplish. My nonexistent body mind doesn't even take want to. I'm just not there yet however I realize that time space causality doesn't exist (in Ultimate reality) and that NSAID reality there will not the future lives for me to progress further. However a bit of a Dante teaches that any progress made on the path does carry over into the future lives (in transactional reality).
