      As someone who used to sell phones and tablets, always start looking at the base model, and see if the higher end models are actually compelling. Base models have become very good devices across most manufacturers.

    My mother-in-law just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE yesterday to replace her old iPad! I told my husband that it's a super good tablet and a little jealous 😂. Yo Brad! Early adopter of the XP-PEN Artist Pro 6 Gen 2 and couldn't be happier. What an amazing piece ot tech and everyday creative workhorse for both graphic design and general illustration. Great, sturdy build - looks sleek over the desk for sure - and perhaps one of the best pens money can buy right now, with the added benefit of being easily carried around alongside a laptop thanks to the 16 form factor and the bonus, ultra-portable remote keypad.
    Your early review back then heavily weighted on my purchase decision so thanks! That #4 is well-deserved. :D

      Nah samsung galaxy tab s8/s9 series is miles better, switched from an iPad Air 5 and Samsung offers so much more features, better display, higher refresh rate, better S Pen that doesn't need to charge to work and works on your Galaxy phone, limitless multitasking features and all for a price usually cheaper than Apple's overpriced products

    I went and splurged on a S9 Ultra. I had S7+, but still felt like the screen was missing just a little bit extra space that Ultra gets me. And with new Clip Studio simple mode, it's awesome. Also, it's super easy to use it as an additional PC monitor via USB-C or WiFi and then I can use stylus in combo with Blender for fine sculpting, etc.

    Switching from Ipad Pro 2019 to S9 Ultra was the best decision I made. S9 Ultra is Ultra in the word's truest sense.
    Amazing display and audio, fantastic drawing experience on the large screen, the rubbery tip of Spen means that I dont need to use a matte screen protector, so display remains crisp. Lastly, clip studio coming in clutch with the simple mode.
    I do miss procreate, and I hope in 2024 clip studio can add more stuff to simple mode and make it comparable to procreate.

I just got an XP-PEN Deco Pro LW with bluetooth to use with my 14" Lenovo i9 laptop, which has touchscreen but not pen support. I also hope to use the pen tablet with the Tab S9 to provide "invisible hand" top down cam annotation in youtubes. I am a business illustrator, not an artist. Love your approach. now im happy i bought the no.1 on the list. cause this is the first time im going to buy a tablet XD cause i cant afford a laptop yet, and whenever we go out specially for holidays i just feel its such a waste when i cant do some work. so i decided to buy the samsung s9 fe cause the price was good and the specs are good, i wanted the bigger tab but sadly no budget for that hahah but im happy its a good choice.
    Question, i also plan on practicing animation and dynamic poses using animation apps, can the tablet handle a full episode like 4-15min of animation using android animation apps?

    Thank you for all your pen display videos - they are helping me decide on which one to buy. Are you able to tell me if XPpen and Huion are reliable or do they run into problems very often, needing repair. I'm in Australia and there are no repair faciliites here which means I'd have to return to country of original and that is prohibitive. My only other option although more expensive, is the entry level Wacom or the new ASUS which you previewed recently. Thank you for any advice.

    To those thinking about the Onyx Boox, I love mine, but man is that speedy pen performance ONLY LIMITED to the BOOX NOTE APP, outside of it, it is slow. Even office apps typing on it is slow.Also what annoys me personally, is that you can't turn off the color mode so you can just enjoy the 300PPI Grayscale E-ink Display. And yes I turned on the "ULTRA FAST" mode, which made typing a little more bearable in office apps. I'm a slow typer myself, even so, I am outpacing the onyx boox at their fastest setting. I'm like 50WPM.

    to see the difference in approah on how when a computer manufacturer try to make art style tablet [asus] they fail the for art part [the pen]. when a in relative smaller graphics tablet for art manufacturer made a portable computer tablet [huion] they almost nail the art part but its downside - since they dont have access to the latest intel/amd stuff - so they practically have older internals. Like Huion Kamvas Studio 16 would been almost perfect for windows folks if its 12 or 13th gen instead of 11.

    Thank nyou for the review. After watching your video on Galaxy Tab S9 along with other reviews here, I decided to switch from iPad Air to my current Tab S9+. I agree, that was my best decision ever. The only thing I miss was Procreate, but not much. Currently I draw on Clip Paint and HiPaint (procreate copycat) and S Pen is amazing. Its way lighter and nicely fit. I used to change Apple Pencil nip for every other months and looking for best nip was annoying. S Pen on the other hand using Wacom technology which is very good feel to draw on screen.

    Great video, Brad! Do you intend to continue updating the Pen Display Ranking on your website?
    It would be great to see the models you tested this year compared to the models from previous years that are already in the Ranking.

    • @Flyyyyy-
      @Flyyyyy- 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The ranking helps a lot to know which is the most recommended Pen Display in a given category.
      Or perhaps a Rating system like "from 1 to 10" ou "5 Stars" or "0 to 100" on the videos themselves could help too.
      So anyone who is undecided can access the videos of the Pen Displays they are interested in and compare compare the number of stars. It is a more objective metric to know which is better in certain aspects or in its entirety.

    • @mariamo222
      @mariamo222 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, a separate grading system for different aspects such as 6 out of 10 for the screen, 8 out of 10 for the pen, and others categories can make things more objective, especially in terms of price. Brad does a great job of considering value versus what the product delivers. But prices tend to vary a lot after launch and especially during big promotions. Being able to have the aspects evaluated separete would make the purchase choice much easier, Since the price will not be affecting the placement of that product that could becomes a great deal when it is cheaper

It's also very heavy compared to huion's 16 and 13.3 inch version of a similar tablet who have QHD on the small version but xp doesn't. Also XP pen doesn't refund u fully if you try it out for a week but return it, only 80%. And the shipping waiting time is like a month in europe.

    I feel like people dont talk enough about the tab s7 plus. For artists it's the same things as the s9 plus but at a much lower price. If you NEED the ultra's huge screen, go with the s8 ultra. I just got a tab s7 plus and the drawing experience on this is beyond amazing

    Hey Brad! Cheers!

      I've only ever owned one drawing glove which came packaged with my Parblo tablet stand. It works like the day I got it, which is more than a year ago. Nothing is particularly fancy about it. It feels nice though.
