Have you ever listened to the song by “Kemal Monteno - Sarajevo Ljubavi Moja” translated Sarajevo my love, Kemal monteno is the son of a Italian soldier that fought in WW2 and who fell in love with Sarajevo and a Bosniak women there so he decided to stay in the city and marry her Kemal who was raised in the city made a tribute song to where he was raised and it’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard Tito used to have him sing it for him as well in person. And during Kemal Montenos funeral a colony of people sang the song together as they carried his body to be buried at the Sarajevo cemetery. Plz listen to it when you get a chance I think you would really like it
You must be gutted after your theft. So sorry to hear. But you were not injured, I hope. And no one can take away your amazing talent, intellect, knowledge, good spirit. And no one can take away your memories. They have been shared and enjoyed by many!
Im sorry about your lap-top, but at least you have seen what beautiful library Zagreb has! Its nice to see Sarajevo so empty as well, ive been so many times, but was always bussy.
Have you been to the ruins of the winterolympics on Mount Trébevic? One of the most interesting places in Sarajevo in my opinion. Also amazing view there.
yes! i was recently at the bobsled track and up on the top of trebevic. I want to make a video someday showing all the abandoned olympics stuff (trebevic, the hotel at igman, etc)
Nice! 🙂 3:50 my grandmother used to live in one of the highrises back there in the Skenderija during the 80s, we visited her several times every year. A month ago, we all came together in Sarajevo for her funeral, she had died in 2021 in New Zealand aged 101. She had been a Partisan medic in WWII and a head doctor in a military hospital with the rank of colonel in the Yugoslav army. I remember the Skenderija center from my childhood, there were Yugoslav basketball games, also strange shows for kids - for example a Smurf-themed one... I even have a Super 8 film of me in Sarajevo from that era: th-cam.com/video/FIZAdv-EW7w/w-d-xo.html 9:30 in the vicinity for example in Sofia they are close together (at least 3), also I have been to Asmara, Eritrea, where you also find all four mentioned in one view. Cheers from Vienna! (sorry for the laptop) ;-)
I’m so sorry for stealing your computer. You have to be very careful. In Europe there is a lot of organized stealing companies. I feel bad for you. Have a great time in Bosnia.
5:16 one of the balconies on the communist building is where my aunty lives and my dad grew up and I was partly raised! The building was built by the Soviets in the 1940s
Tirana the capitol of Albania could also be called Jerusalem of Europe, thing is Sarajevo is dominantly bosniak city with over 90% bosniaks, others left the city in the 90s
You are always welcome to my town my family my mother's father family they were really rich they made maybe half of Austro Hungary house's and buildings in Sarajevo. Not lying it's true but ww2 ustashe regime took their lands across the town then communist regime also took their money and houses and killed my grandfather young brother who was leader and founder of young Muslims rebellion group they were against ustashe regime and communist regime.
I am from Sarajevo. Sarajevo is unique. It is real Bosnian city❗️ And it is not Jurusalem of Europe❗️❗️❗️❗️ 😡 And do not compare Sarajevo with two ex-Yugoslavia capital shitholes: Zagreb and belgrade. History of Sarajevo can not be compared to none of them at all.
It WAS Jerusalem of Europe before 1992! Now it is more like Meca or Medina. There are no Serbs (orrhodox) and Croats (catholic) in Sarajevo now. Only Muslims.
@@amermujkic1809 I do not talk about that at all, they probably have had a reasons why they fleed, but Sarajevo is not multicultural city anymore, however.
No one forced them out, they choose to leave because they don't like the Muslim heritage. Look up Momcilo Krajisnik's speech at the end of the war. The peace agreement was signed in December 1995 and right after that he made a nationalist speech to Serbs in Sarajevo saying that they should move out because now "Muslims will rule the city"... No one else ever told them to leave. As a matter of fact, many Serbs are now working in Sarajevo and take a daily commute from East Sarajevo where they decided to make ethnically cleansed Serb town on the border of Sarajevo city and they still come over and earn their paycheck in Sarajevo. No one is stopping them from actually living in the city but they choose not to because they're bigots like yourself.
