Great video! It's always fascinating to see behind the scenes in the kitchens of these iconic Sarajevo spots. You captured the essence of Bosnian cuisine perfectly-well done! 👏
Wow! You're in a new country! Not going to lie, I didn't think much of Bosnia before seeing your video, I didn't have much knowledge about The country. But Sarajevo looks absolutely stunning! And the food! The stew looked so comforting, I'd like that right about now as I look out and see the snow outside... The cooking underneath the sacs looks so cool and interesting, what a way to cook. Did they used to use those in the past because they didn't have any other way of cooking their food? The Bosnian coffee seems eerily similar to a Turkish coffee. I enjoyed the Turkish one when I tried it, but to be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the grittiness of it. Kind of tasted like an instant coffee. And the rakia, those all looked super tasty and smooth. Definitely would love to have some of those over the holidays 😋☃️ Great video again you two hungry travelers!
Yes Charles! New country and so far we're loving it! Sarajevo is a lovely city and we can't wait to explore more. We really love the sac way of cooking, yes it's a traditional way here. The coffee was very nice and bold, it can be a bit of an acquired taste though. Also, the rakija, oh the rakija! The flavours were out of this world, a little too easy to drink, we've gotta say. Definitely something you need to try! Thanks so much for your comment and for watching :) all the best to you!
Čarls Dikens evo još malo znanja o "novoj" zemlji pored ZOI 84' Sarajevo je prvo u Evropi imalo tramvaj, vodovod, kanalizaciju, javna kupatila i jeli su kašikom i viljoškom.
LOL You both seem a little tipsy at the end and Steph, your face at the end with all the flavours of the rakija in your mouth for the big swallow is so funny. All the food look so hearty. And the burek seem so yummy! Thanks for the great video you guys.
Rastika you commented on with stuffed veggies dish is not cabbage leaf for "japrak ", like you kept repeating. It's actually KEALE leaf stuffed.. it can also be made with wine leaf original herzegovinian japrak where it originates from
The most spiciest meals in Balkans are in Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, as they say souther=hotter (maybe because of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarians historical cultural borderline)...northern of Sava and Danube are mild spiced meals (except Hungary where they use alot of paprika)...dunno about greek, albanian and bulgarian, never ate their meals...
Zbogom!
Our plan was to explore more of Serbia, but plans change that do not require explanation to others, and unfortunately we don't have unlimited time to explore every country we visit. The places we were not able to visit this time we will be back to visit another time. It is indeed not appropriate to judge our movements. Thank you for watching and following along with our journey, we appreciate the support and hope you can continue to do so!
When you order "burek with cheese" in Sarajevo, in most restaurants you'll get beef burek with a side of cheese, so good luck with that. 😅 We all know it's just a provocation, but it's not funny at all and it's getting really old too.
What's up everyone!
Where else should we visit in the Balkans?
Thanks for watching!
Republiku Srpsku ❤❤❤
yes - recent follower here - visit Banja Luka in Republika Srpska for the best cevapi in the balkans (and countless other interesting things)
SANDZAK⚜️🇧🇦 city of NOVI PAZAR ( named the new bazaar😉)
Bihać - best to visit between late spring to early fall! ❤
Mostar..definitely
Bosnian food is one of the best foods in the world! Can't wait to go back again.
It's so good we have to agree 😋 thanks for watching and commenting!

We were referencing that it is a type of cabbage 😉
That building at 1:09 looks like a mosque I have been to.
Very interesting! The building in the video is City Hall, a gorgeous building :)

That's a pie here in Bosnia 😉 burek is only with beef, but the cheese pie we had was so good too!
Samo sa sirom je najbolje
