I'm asking myself the same question. I guess they are looking into profits, since the new conversation will cause the consumer to invest in different tips. I would much rather have the capability to adjust my fan and pressure with the old set up.
Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. We don't have an extension or any other accessory for this Graco Aircoat gun, but you'll find filters (#60, #100 and #200) as well as nozzles and the air cap in our shop. - Nozzles : airless-discounter.de/Spray-Tip-for-Graco-G15-G40-Spray-Guns-AirCoat - Filters : airless-discounter.de/spray-gun-filters - Air cap : airless-discounter.de/Graco-AIR-CAPASSY-249180 And all the spare parts needed to repair it of course. We have too little knowledge about the brand Kremlin since we don't work with, to say which one is better. But in terms of professionnal quality finish, we can say that the G40 and now days the G50 stand by the top air-assisted guns on the market for contractors and industries! - G50 : airless-discounter.de/Graco-PerformAA-50-Air-Assisted-Spray-Gun-with-General-Finishing-Air-Cap-AXM311-Nozzle-26B510 Kind regards, Airless Discounter team

Hi I have the Wagner 4600 i normally use flat tip, however I have tried the reverse tip conversion and you can squash the fan but spitting occurs, does the graco spit with this conversion ? Cheers
Hi Artie, it will be difficult to make an assessment of the spitting occuring on your Wagner 4600 without inspecting the spray gun directly. We haven't had any customers report an issue with Graco G40 with the conversion kit so far.
The Wagner spit with the reverse tips because air horns are designed to adjust the fan pattern size only but there none to further atomise the paint like the flat tip air cap
Artie6937 have you tried to increase the pump pressure, the reversible tip can be atomized with only the pump pressure, maybe you have the pump to low and the air as well causing to spit, raise the pump pressure and play with the air pressure after. I would start with around 2 pounds of air, the wagner also has a fan adjuster I believe
Hi, Thanks for your comment. From our experience, if you compare the G40 with classic aircoat tip and with reversable tip ; the classic one will always remain the best in terms of finish and precision. Kind regards, Airless Discounter team
Hi, A small compressor will be sufficient, as only the gun needs to receive it and in AirCoat it is gonna be never more than 2 bars of air pressure needed. Kind regards, Airless Discounter team

Good information, however, I really have to ask, what situation would you want to convert a G40 from a flat tip, to RAC? Thank you
I'm asking myself the same question. I guess they are looking into profits, since the new conversation will cause the consumer to invest in different tips. I would much rather have the capability to adjust my fan and pressure with the old set up.
What about going from a RAC tip, converting back to a flat tip? What are the part numbers? Converting from a G40 262929 to a G40 262932?
Is there any other accessories for this gun? My graco rep showed some kind of needle to make closer to the hvlp.

Perhaps your gun needs new packings
The Wagner spit with the reverse tips because air horns are designed to adjust the fan pattern size only but there none to further atomise the paint like the flat tip air cap

What one is better?
Hi,
It is always preferable to stay with flat nozzles in Air-assisted spraying but both work.

Informative... thanks
What kind of a compressor do you need to run this gun. I have a titan 440 and a 5 cfm at 90 psi 1.5 hp compressor, would that be sufficient?
Hi,
A small compressor will be sufficient, as only the gun needs to receive it and in AirCoat it is gonna be never more than 2 bars of air pressure needed.
