    Excellent video. Has me thinking about converting my T5. You are spot on with the reco for a 306 tip when doing boxes with airless. Dennis Rodriguez says the same thing.

    I suggest getting water seperator for your compressor

    Thank you for this, was considering a kremlin 30:1 to step my game up, but drastically underestimated the size of the compressor required, basically impossible to bring to the jobsite.

    The advantage of having a separate compressor instead of having an all in one unit is that you can use that compressor with machines dedicated to solvents, as well as for blowing dust off your work pieces.

    Is that compressor is enough to atomization the paint? I'm trying to make my graco airless transom to air assist like you but I'm concerned about the compressor

    What you like using for spraying Renner blue cap or red and what tip. ?

    • @homesteadcabinetdesign3406
      @homesteadcabinetdesign3406  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thicker coatings like primer use the blue air cap and 13 tip. Top coats I thin up to 10% and use the red air cap with a 10 or 11 tip. I personally like the 10/30 double office for top coats.

    You should try the gm 3600 gun, it has flat tips that are reversible in order to clear a clog, that's one thing I hate about flat tips

    What's the finish quality compared to HVLP?

    Hi
    Do you still like that set up?
    Just bought same gun and will see it up same way

    • @homesteadcabinetdesign3406
      @homesteadcabinetdesign3406  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I still do! Especially for spraying topcoats. Not as fast as an airless, but you can spray with much less pressure.

      Im looking for more to spray on site
      Im ok with airless in my shop but sometimes on site I got some sags

      @@slawomirbieganski5315 This will give you more control than an airless sprayer. choose a wider fan pattern as well, and with practice you'll get almost no runs. It will depend some on what product you're spraying, tip size and speed as well.

    my intentions are to do this to titan ed655 but im not sure its needed lol. i have just had it in my mind for 2 years that it is. is there a huge benefit from what you normally do? i usually just spray waterborne sherwood top coats.

      One of the benefits of an AAA gun over airless is that they don't spit like an airless. However, there are some very nice airless guns and tips, but they all spit to some degree. The downside to AAA is they are higher maintenance. If you don't keep them super clean, you can have issues with clogging tips and air caps. In my opinion, it's worth it though despite the extra maintenance. It can be a challenge if you have employees. Airless is the easiest sprayer for employees to learn to maintain .

      The ed655 is perfect for this aaa setup

      @duartepaintinghandymanservices 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suggest if you're going to turn that into a AAA get the gm 3600 gun it has flat tips that are reversable and easier to clear when clogged, also a small pond pump are ideal for this they run continuously and not as loud as compressors, you can find them used on ebay for $100 thomas makes some good ones, remember you don't need that much air for an aaa gun

  • @arturo4700

    Is ok But use a diaphragm sprayer like ed655 plus, much much better than pistón

    • @homesteadcabinetdesign3406
      @homesteadcabinetdesign3406  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would agree except that the Tritech piston pump purrs like a kitten! No pulsating at all

    Instead of talking so much about tips and such I would like to have seen how you dial it in and spray.

      Over talking.

    • @tautog4424
      @tautog4424 ปีที่แล้ว

      simple, turn up pressure till you get the amount of fluid you want to spray, you will still have tails or lines in the end of the pattern, then turn up the air pressure with the fan pattern all the open till the tails disappear. the pattern will blend and you will be ready to spray
