- I was bored sitting at home while on the hunt for a new career to peruse. I decided id like to hear what it sounded like to take the exhaust off of my newly purchased #fortegt So I did just that! Check out how I did it and what it sounded like in todays video! #kia #kiaforte #muffler

Put old fashioned cherry bomb mufflers. I shouldn't have said sounds like crap. It's really what you like that counts. If your happy with the sound so am I.

I like quiet honestly. The car stock has a perfect purr and when you get on the gas with the turbo it's perfect. I used to have full blown straight pipe boosted cars and that shit got annoying honestly after years of ownership.
I also drive on the highway a lot and so the droning is so annoying. The stock exhaust makes it so relaxed, sporty, yet sophisticated on nice cruises.
I can't stand drone drives me nuts.

That was some fun stuff man! Like the video, It does sound pretty sick for a 4 cylinder lol. I put a magnaflow muffler on my forte gt and it's been awesome. I can feel how much more the car can breathe and it not obnoxious.
I will probably get that full xforce cat back if I end up getting an exhaust. I miss it now that I put the muffler back on.

I did a sxth element axle back exhaust on my 21 Gt Basically a muffler delete. And it sounds awesome. Have had it like that for about 6 months and never gets old

to be honest the fart between shifts is something you either gonna love or hate. I'd get tired of it
cant unfortunately. its due to the dual clutch transmission
Once you get intakes it will pop and bang even more with the muffler delete, resonator will make it pop even more but I had the manuals done it was pops and bangs burbles and everything

You can cap the intake were the hose peace leads to you will get a blow of valve sound! (Use a cheap chair end cap)

They definitely sound interesting with an IVT... I don't know what would sound good to be honest.

I never removed it. But if there's no 02 sensor after it. It will not come on.

I freaking love it! I never thought o could enjoy something small like that after drinking large pickups for years.
I dig it. It makes it enjoyable to drive.

@@marcantoiner i have a forte5 gt and doing exhaust mods seems like a good idea but without a muffler it will 100% drone. The 7 spd dct is great but it has 1 problem: the final drive makes the car sit at 3k rpm while cruising at 130km/h on the highway. Its like the tranny needs an 8th gear to lower engine speed even tho fuel economy at 130km is still very good. The 1 mod i actually did that was worth every penny is a racechip. For $350 after tax i got about 30 more hp and 55 tq. Car drives smooth as stock (still using 87), actually gains fuel economy when driving normally.

Sport mode I believe pipes artificial sound into the cabin.

I just hate the fart sound it makes every shift with an automatic… I love everything else about it though.
Those DCT farts are terrible 🤣 I have a catless downpipe, deleted the second cat & swapped out the resonater for a Magnaflow. I then installed a Flowmaster muffler. Damn car sounds so mean 😉 I love the sound of these cars. No drone and deep without rasp b
Need sound clips from this. Sounds like something I might like to try. I love how mine sounds with just the 2nd cat & muffler deleted but I do have a little bit of rasp I'd like to get rid of & wouldn't mind getting rid of the drone as well.

@@Symphoniics my tips are getting powder coated black so the car is at the shop. It was the only shiny part left on the car. And since I have a black GT & I liked the tips seemed the thing to do.

Did not pass the dad vibe lmao. I get where he's coming from though it does kiiinda need a cleaned up tone. It is a muffler delete after-all.

The manual sounds way better
Don't throw away the stock parts. You'll need to put them back on when you bring the car in for any service to any KIA Dealership where the technician may notice you're made the change. For example, just a simple oil change. If he reports you to the shop manager, your warranty could be voided.
I put it on after this video lol. They wouldn't void a warranty for an aftermarket exhaust however unless directly related to it.
If you fart in the muffler, you can hear it through the speaker system in the car
