Amazing content as always. I’ve just left my full time job for a 3 days a week job for a smaller but similar company. I make just a little more than I need to cover my bare essential bills and now can dedicate more time to my publishing business. I’ve decided the keywords and topics for my first 2 books and I’ll be ordering them this week
That's amazing to hear and exactly what I would do in your situation. You only need one good book to replace most people's full-time income in my experience. The only thing ill say is to do whatever is necessary to put 100+ reviews on each book before moving on to a third.

Great stuff Trevor. Maybe I should have found this stuff when I was much younger. These days, to replace my full time income, as well as have enough to cover taxes, biz expenses, and have enough left over to feel better... $10k/month is not enough to not rock the boat for my family. Thats okay, that just means growth is inevitable. I plan to publish 2 books next year, but how could I get that to $35k-$50k/month??
Well you're describing the rat race or more popular recently "The matrix". If you want to live anywhere remotely popular the cost of living is fast outpacing the amount of money you can earn from a job. If anything you should be happy if you're earning anywhere near 10k a month from KDP while having a job. The obvious answer to me is reinvest your profits back into the business so it can grow and use your day job to cover your cost of living.
You're looking at 50k as if there is a secret. And maybe there is a few secrets, but generally speaking why cant you 5x what you've done so far to reach 10k?

That's awesome man. When I started out I worked my job and then came home and worked on my publishing business until it took off and I could quit (and moved to Bali).

All that extra stuff is just eating up your money. Keep what makes you happy, cut out the rest.
My company is selling off all their assets that I directly work with and will lose my job because of it. Now I've got 5 months to go all in on AIA until that happens. Currently getting my first book written at the moment. My wife works, too, which will help the process/expenses, but the plan is to go all in and make the jump out of corporate America after that.
I've heard this story a lot over the past year and even though it's not great to lose your job sometimes it's the motivation you needed to make a big change like this, so congrats.
You can get a lot done in five months if you fully commit to the course and if you do things correctly often only 1 or 2 books can replace your income. Good luck!

I'm definitely on the fence about this program I'd just like some assurance as a 19 year old that just started my first job and finally got enough for AIA. Also what kind of tools will I need to start (laptop,computer) etc.
You will need a computer and some money for your first book. They have made the course in a way that you can do everything for free to start and then reinvest your profits into ghost writers, cover designers, narrators etc. (I suggest at minimum outsourcing narration and cover design)
If I was you id save some more money and check out the free content on TH-cam to learn the basics about self publishing. Then when you're ready make the jump and take it seriously.

Yeah feel free to email me and I'll try and help further. To be honest though usually people who are on the fence for months and have endless questions don't end up publishing anything in my experience.
If it's money concerns learn on TH-cam for free and get involved when you have the finances available later. They do have a refund policy and even pay a $500 bonus back to you for publishing your book fully (Which is insane!).
And if it's because of confidence or mental blocks this is covered in week 1, there is a massive community, 1on1 coaching and weekly group calls you wont be alone in your journey.

It's a great idea to build a Facebook group, but don't let it stop you from getting your book published. You can contact existing groups and ask to post your book in them which can really help get reviews.
