- The new Huawei P30 Pro's camera is nuts. With the crazy telephoto lens, RYB sensor to capture more light, and the four different sensors on the back, could it be the new low-light photo phone?
I take it around London with SuperSaf and we put it through a real-world camera test to find out how it compares to the other top flagship phones out. Here's what happened.

P30 pro is not only low-light champ but also the no-light champ. after saw the comparison in pitch black environment, it blew me away.

Without a doubt, the most capable photography phone in 2019.
Huawei P30 Pro is without any doubt the real king of Low light & portrait photography but i feel from your test that S10+ Performed Bit better in day light , & also performed better in food photography

P30 Pro's rear camera makes great portrait photos, while the front cam is awful with portrait photos

thats what ive been saying. The hype around this phone is so blown out its incredible. In the times when you'd actually take a photo ive never once felt like the P30 was miles better than the other 3. Its either been as good or worse than the other 3. Where it blows the other 3 out the water is NO light, not low light (Night sight creates just as good from the pixel 3). Then you gotta ask yourself, who even takes a photo with their lights turned off and no light situations.. the answer is very few if any people

That bokeh on the Nokia 9 though is unreal! P30 Pro is still really good though.
i got the huawei p30 pro for few days its amazing!!! the insane low light capability ( it take photos even at almost absolute dark ereas every one who see that shoked!!) the zoom the amazing macro and also its so fast

Noticed on a couple of the night time video clips that streetlights and other illumination were flickering. Am I correct to think that this was due to the settings set to US NTSC 60hz and not UK PAL 50hz?

Can anyone who has this phone answer a few questions? They might have been in this video, but I might have missed it, so sorry if any of it was touched upon. I know the camera is good in low lights etc, but how does it do with moving objects such as kids in low light? I am still using my Nexus 6p and have noticed a lot of photos I'm getting of my daughter are blurred. So a lot of times I'm like "Aww, that would have been a nice photo if it didn't blur". Also, how does it do with the speed in which it takes the photos? Does it take awhile to snap the photo and then take ages to process or is it pretty snappy? My nexus 6p is pretty laggy taking photos, and so is my husbands Pixel 2. Any info would be great because I'm torn between getting the p30 pro or just keeping my nexus 6p and buying a camera.

Nice video.... I liked it.... One thing in night mode you can put ISO to 100 and shutter speed auto... much batter result can be taken... I am honor use and it can take good pics but unfortunately I don't have that much to buy this phone to test.. but I am sure that night mode can do batter with a little trick.
This phone is all about camera and battery.
So far those are the few areas a manufactuers can set themselves apart from others. phones are pretty much the same in other areas such as browsing internet, Facebook, text messaging...
Only battery. Camera could've been better imo. It didn't "destroy" the competition like some expected. It's just on par with the S10+

@@souvikc734 I actually think that the S10+ beats the P30 Pro in low light. The colours all look white on the P30 Pro.
For example: look at the night streets pics. The street lights are yellow, yet the P30 Pro makes them white.
Next example, sharpness: take the bed lowlight picture. Look at the pillow. Which one is sharper, S10 or P30 Pro.
The P30 Pro might be better in complete darkness, but who uses that? S10+ is the winner for me.
@@BlackParade01 Honestly S10 is not really that good in low light. While I'm not a huge fan of P30 Pro's tendency to use clarity more than necessary, S10's super aggressive noise reduction and poor lens quality is surely the losing combo here. Hardware choice is clearly inferior to Huawei and software is nowhere near as good as Google's Night Sight, nor the output is as neutral as iPhone's images. Exynos variant of S10 apparently has worse HDR as well, though I have to admit that the video and the audio quality have been very good on Samsung phones.
And remember, P30 Pro is running on a pre-release software... Huawei phones are known for getting its camera quality and battery life improved over a few software updates.
Best phone out now in every way, definitely add a lot more photos and zoom in to show the difference, also leave them on the screen for longer.
How about video quality in low light?

When shooting videos with Huawei P30 Pro, does it stay stabilized when holding in your hand? It use to be most would loose they're stabilization when zooming in.

P30 is like a crippled version of the P30 Pro. Huawei fucked that up.
@@BlackParade01 Technically it's in the same league as Galaxy S10E, which is also a "crippled" version of Galaxy S10.
@@supertigerman013 not at all. The P-series is all about photography, yet the camera is heavily downgraded on the P30. It also doesn't support wireless charging and PowerShare. The only downgrades the S10e has, is the display (and it misses the tele lens). Yet the P30 costs more than the S10e.
@@BlackParade01 In my country P30 costs $140 (converted to USD) less than S10E so P30 actually has an edge when it comes to pricing. S10E has advantages in areas you mentioned above, but considering that you get better performance, cameras and battery life (and also the charging speed) on P30, it is very competitively and reasonably priced IMO. By the way S10E gets smaller battery compared to its more expensive siblings.
@@supertigerman013 performance and cameras are better on the S10e honestly. Battery life of the P30 is absolutely better.
And yes, the S10e has a smaller battery than the S10, but the phone itself is also smaller and the display resolution is lower, resulting in the same batterylife as the regular S10.

Samsung's clear daylight combined with huawei's zoom and low light power would be very impressive
Daylight photos and videos: S10+
Darkness and zoom: P30 Pro
Also slow motion is better in S10+ than P30 Pro. I think I would go with S10+.
RAW photos from P30 PRO in good light have insane detail including 5x zoom camera lens compared to JPEG, better dynamic range, etc... It's so easy to take those and develop them in Lightroom Mobile :)
Honestly I'm quite impressed by my p9, so p30 pro raw dng should be spectacular

It was either the worst or middle of the pack but never the clear outright best in any of the times that you'd actually take a photo. Am i the only one noticing that?
I see most of reviews and S10+ or s10 have better camera on daylight and video, but in night p30 wins easy.. and that zoom is amazing.

The S10+ is definitely better in daylight. But in low light it also looked better than the P30 Pro imo. Just look at 4:28 and 5:50. The P30 Pro only wins in complete darkness

I've been wanting to get the samsung s20 fe but I can't get the Huawei P30 pro out my head :/ I love the breathing crystal colour and the camera and battery life on that phone but I also love samsung devices. It's such a hard decision for me to make as I want to make the right decision. X

What camera better and interesting making photos at daylight. Nokia 9 or P30pro.
P30pro shoot good, but usual for smartphone photo. But nokia can shoot extraordinary photo in day light, and very bad photo in low light. Nokia 9 vs P30 pro in daylight? Who better?
dedicated colour temperature on p30 pro to choose what you want. Dmarx rank shows this phone is no.1 photo phone!
The galaxy s10 seems to produce better exposure for portrait and daytime photos at least. Would you agree?
what is the use of shooting great photos and you cannot see the details due to FHD screen.. taking a video and see how it is shattering , and there is no optical video stabilization
1080 display is good enough, and "Optical" means the lens is stabilized so it doesn't matter if user is taking photo or video, it is stabilized.

@@jaafaralhayki4494 I can, because I have been making videos on Smartphones for over 2 years now, used them with Gimbal, handheld, used all techniques and so on, different phones and what not! Various situations so yes I can.
And let me tell you that even Gimbals cannot clean handshakes completely. You still have to put some efforts to get things smooth.
It also depends on the size of Gimbal, and by Gimbal I meant the size of mechanism, either mechanical or motor-based. And that's the reason you would see not 100% smooth floating shots on Osmo Pocket,
Compare to that, Optical IS are far smaller than Osmo Pocket, so yes it reduces shaking but to a limit. And then the software kicks in to iron things further. So whenever you walk normal with a set in hand carelessly, like a normal user would do, you would see some of the shaky effects.

As a photographer, I'm very impressed by the S10+ in this comparison. Might've even won this comparison, even in low light. Nokia 9 and iPhone XS looked great too!

The red/yellow tint on the P30 Pro is too much. Look at 2:50, S10 plus is most appealing where P30 pro makes everything looks so dirty and brownish... They may have amazing zoom and bright night shots but that's it. everything else is just losing to S10+, iphone Max and Pixel 3 XL

There is definitely that yellow tinge to the pictures with this new sensor...
This is due to Whitewell replacing the RGB sub-pixel arrangement and removing green and inserting yellow..
There is no yellow tinge, actually it has the most colour accurate pics.
P30 pro just kills it
