- The Huawei P30 Pro is the last Huawei phone to have Google support before the Google ban. Being one of the biggest smartphone companies in the world at the time, the P30 Pro was a very special device that rivalled both Apple and Samsung at the highest end. So in today's day in the life, I wanted to take out the Huawei P30 Pro out to see how it holds up in 2024, testing out the performance, display, battery life and of course, the cameras.

I have this phone. It's a great phone. Huawei phones last too. Have also owned mate 10 pro and p20 pro. The p30 pro is a brilliant phone I think. Feedback from long term customers is good.

Used P40 Pro, Mate 50 Pro and P60 Pro. They had amazing cameras especially P60 Pro but few days ago shifted to P30 Pro and Man it has been giving me 9 to 10 hours screen on time daily. Even my latest P60 Pro can't beat it in Battery life. Huawei was the best battery optimisation brand with Google but unfortunately after Google Ban and unable to optimise Apps with Play Stores batteries are little less longer.

it's thanks to huaweis kirin cpu the battery and detail is soo mind blowing/ huawei goot banned and have to use snapdragon cpu and snapdragon is worse than kirin made by huawei in tsmc/ and when you seehuawei mate 60 pro come then huawei made the first kirin 9000s in smic since huawei got banned for making in tsmc and the new kirin cpu takes that special photo but in zoom the new kirin isn't special in zoom seen but take the photo in zoom i mean 100x is good/ but huawei will solve all issue over again and it will be even more special

I still use a P40 Pro in 2024 and yeah some problems here and there with the google services but still the best phone I had and I have it for around 3 to 4 years now. Btw, very nice video and content. Keep going man, greetings from Romania!

This video comes to me at the right time, I own a Huawei p30 Pro, I've had it for 4 years and I still like it very well, the strong points in my opinion are: battery life, camera, display, the processor is very fast, now l'm a little worried because since it's very hot, it overheats easily not to explode but slightly hot yes, do you think it's due to the high temperature of the time, or is it because the battery starts to overload the function s.
But after using it for a while it starts to heat up, then when I take breaks it cools down, I think it's the summer heat.

This phone was ahead of its time when it came out. If not for the absence of 3.5mm jack and a punch hole front cam, this would be perfect.

How did you do all that without having the updates from google, android etc etc? And do you have some tips with getting good on it again? I made it turn it on after it completely damaged it.

Still using my P30 in 2024 as my main phone.
I love this phone but battery is starting to be an issue. I'm a heavy user though but can still make it through the day, with a little anxiety. 7 hrs ost.
Also only 128 gb Storage.
Just ordered nano memory card from AliExpress.
Have tried a few replacement phones but nothing has convinced me it's worth upgrading yet.
No lag and it's still on android 10😅
7 hrs ost is still insanely good for a 5 year old phone!

According to me still a beast and top class from every angle even in comparison with all flagship smartphones available today.

I have iphone but today bought a p30 pro. Its really nice & premium quality. I think p30 bit any other decvice this price range.

Huawei phones are good still using Huawei Nova 5t. Camera, Battery software optimization even performance. It can still perform with little to no lag at all. Plus this phone still has tha native GMS i think this is the last huawei phone with GMS along side the p30 and p30 pro

Hello guys, is it worth to 'downgrade' to this phone at this time, from iphone 13 reguler, to save money around $250 ?? Or should I stay on iphone 13 instead? Why p30 pro because I read a lot comments the battery is good for daily use and camera is still good enough for normal people? But is it worth to downgrade ? My only concern is there is no more security update. Thank you.

I have been on Android for 2 years. Mostly Samsungs (S21, S22 Ultra and S23+), but also Pixel 7, Oppo Find X5, realme 9 Pro+. Android is now much much better than years before. But still iPhone is an iPhone, Apple Watch are the best smart watches and I still had an Macbook even when I was on Android.

Android 10 only, but honestly, nothing wrong with this phone. Good battery life and cameras, perfect connectivity. Performance in heavy games of course is not top notch, still have to mention that the phone does not heat up during even long gaming sessions.
Sometimes I regret that I switched from P30 Pro to P50 Pro, I don't think I gained much and I lost a lot. The lack of GMS doesn't bother me much, I mostly use the camera and mail, and I don't think the camera on the P50 is much better.

If huawei wasnt banned by google. I would prolly already have one. But have you seen those xiaomi phones? I use the redmi note 12 pro and its actually a very good phone. It makes very nice and clean pictures. And texting is very smooth on it. If I had money, I would buy the xiaomi 14 ultra.

Phones from 2019 are still perfectly viable here in 2024 and even beyond in my opinion. It's crazy how for the most part you're still getting basically the same experience as a top end Galaxy device! I recently reviewed the OnePlus 7T and was super pleased with the performance and cameras. Almost makes me want to switch back to my 7T Pro McLaren again 🥲

Huawei should reissue this phone for 399 and they would run the table!! I'm still using my Silver New Edition every day and its beaten everything else I've tried, including Samsung, Apple and even one of the recent Honor devices... the P30 rules!!!

My P30Prohas lasted the test of time. I have an S22Ultra and it sits on my desk turned off and never gets used.
