- If the new Huawei P30 Pro is anything like the Mate 20 Pro in terms of battery (since the latter was a beast) then this ought to be good. Let's do a real-world test of the P30 Pro battery and see how it does through a full day.
I'll be out using the navigation, taking photos and videos, sending messages, etc. just like I normally would and we'll check in every now and then on the battery life and see how it's doing.

For those asking about Screen On Time,
Honestly, SOT isn't a good metric. Listening to music without the screen on will drain battery but not add to SOT. Also playing a game will add SOT but kill the battery way faster than surfing the web, etc.

I am getting 10-11 hours SOT with P30 PRO screen brightness on auto, power saver mode on, using camera, TH-cam, Netflix, web browser, LTE, wifi. With Mate 20 PRO I got 8-9 hours. So approximately 20% improvement. Mate 20 PRO had quite inefficient display, even it was OLED. I haven't tried playing games yet. With Mate 20 PRO I got 5-6 hours of continuous gaming on highest frame rate. Even with Mate 20 PRO I usually went to bed with 30-40% battery on average day. Huawei phones are great for productivity. I don't remember when I last had to worry about my battery life. In case I need to charge because I play 6 hours straight PUBG on my phone, 30 minutes and you are back to 70-80%, full in 1 hour.
What launcher were you using on p30 in this video?

Can you do battery drain test of huawei P30 lite?
No social media used. Facebook drains insane amount of battery and I believe for me, it wouldn't last this long cos I have tons of apps installed.
I used all of those things. Just didn't show ever single thing in the video. Also the battery screen I showed at the end was just to see how long it had been on to prove I didn't charge it etc. The app usage it showed there reset at midnight because we went over a day

Why do you wanna disappoint yourself? Those two are the main weak points of Mi9, battery being too small and a lack of work in general on the imx586, especially in photos
lol lol I’m terribly sorry for me being poor, Mi 9 is the only 2019 BNIB flagship that I can afford. So those tests are crucial to me, ‘cause I’m about to spent my lifetime savings. Or maybe you can donate some bucks to me in order for me to be able to buy P30 Pro? That would be splendid.

My Vivo Nex S also has fantastic battery life! I'm definitely picking up a P30 Pro however. That 5x really is a game changer. I've been waiting for something like that. I've been using a Sony QX-10 for years just for the zoom. Now I won't have to carry it around lol.

Without screen on time, sadly, this was a waste of my data. You could have been very busy and only had about 3 hours of screen use.

It was not. I don't show everything I do on it because that would be a boring 18 hour video. You have to just trust that I used it all day like a normal phone as I said I would.

I did a lot of that. Just didn't record every second of it or it'd be a very long very boring video. You just have to trust me that I was using it like I normally would.

You don't use properly. Just make some pictures WhatsApp etc that's nothing. Normally for all phone enough battery. Depending for what you want to use mobil. If you play game or leasing some music battery after 3/5 hour from 100 go down to 1% so yes.
I used it like I normally would including all the apps I usually use. I just don't show that because that would make for a boring video. You'll just have to trust me that I used it like a normal phone and this was the result.
@@TheUnlockr I have p30 pro. Battery oke but no super I'm charging morning 7 a clock 98% I'm finish work before 4 a clock. I'm in home 4:15 and the battery 37%. It's a new phone with a 4200ma battery. Normal nice battery and much better then a old phone 😉 If the battery after half years still good I'm happy but trust me after half year the battery goes down.

How do you know what my phone was doing? I can't record 24 hours of everything I did and then post that. No one would watch (and I don't blame them). You'll have to take my word for it and trust me that I used it like any other phone I would (which is a lot).
