Holy heck the prices on these cars have really gone up over the past few years. I've never seen a Vic go for over $4000 at an auction! Pretty positive that TH-cam and channels like this one have really gathered up an increasing interest in these cars.

I work on these “W” body impalas everyday in our fleet. That “duct tape” is not duct tape. It’s a foil tape to shield heat. That’s is from the factory.

@@hullinger vacuum hoses fell apart. Happens on all of these cars. Fury is a pain to drive in winter but i make due. A vic would be a great winter car but i can see the prices are going up
So true about the Vic prices. They are moving up. Might be partly due to tax returns coming so maybe its cyclical. A couple years ago I was buying really nice Vic's for between $1200 - $1800. Today, those same cars would auction-off at about double that.
Camry’s are very good cars, they can last anywhere from 200,000-500,000 I’ve even seen with the original engine & transmission. I heard the Crown Victoria’s were also pretty decent cars too.

Ford Should’ve kept the panther platform. So stupid of them yo remove it. Although I am surprised there still seems to be an abundance of them out therr in government servicd and auctions.
Due to government regulations with stability control, Ford could not legally produce and sell the Panther platform in the US past the 2011 model year. The Panther chassis would not work with stability control.
@@juliusrody9833 if the phanther chassis would not work with stablity control the f150 would be in the same history. Ford killed the crown vic because they cant be killed.

Just picked up a 2011 vic with 58 K miles 400 IH was never a marked patrol car so it didn't see the typical abuse. This car is black with full wheel covers and normal rear seat. Tinted windows. A single driver take home unit from a local S.O Its a blast to drive and gets instant respect on the road. Paid 5500$
Wow, your guess at the sale price of the Ranger so close! I have an '01 model with 172K that's also a 4x4 and it runs well but has lots issues to. I suspect the prices have gone up since more people have found out about public auctions and more people flip cars for profit these days. I did it when I was in my 30's in NJ but now living in GA. forget it! Whatever I have for sale; the bottom feeders show up and offer me half price or less. When I sold my last car on CL this goon had a plan to create a sense of urgency as his ride took off. He wants to wire money into my account; "No way man, I am old and if you don't have $800 for a rust free, 235K miles well maintained car, call your friend back." He acted like he wanted to kick my ass for rejecting his offer. "Look man, I may be old and since I'm old I don't accept a wire transfer unless you want to go to Walmart. We drove to a local bank and he got the money. That's CL for ya! After the deal he said he was gonna flip it for $1500 or more! "I knew it!"
I need to find a police auction with the newer Caprices before all the guys here in DC starts traveling to get them! Im already seeing the Caprices floating around here now!

I hear ya about these auction prices. In the past I was a buyer almost every auction but anymore, the prices are nearly full retail. Doesn't justify the risk of buying an auction car.

The Impala is a nice car, I love those cars! I had a 2012 and I really do miss it!
Got mine $3100 Canadian, 196000KM, zero issues, clean all black 2011 CVPI, tinted windows, pushbar, spare tire, police light, police interceptor trunk lid badge, upgraded flowmaster exhaust, best car I've ever had, hands down.

I'm still watching but so far the first 2 looked good but the 2nd in silver looked even better then the 3rd didn't look too bad (Crown Victoria).

You are living in the 1960’s if you think you can find a decent car with about 100k on the odometer for less that $1,000. No such animal exists
