I have a 2003 Crown Victoria Police interceptor that needs a transmission, everything else is good. I has the biggest engine which is fine, lights on the grill, police console in between front seats and wires in the floor. I have had a lot of things fixed on it. I want to sell it to someone that loves it, so if anyone is interested let me know, I live in Cleveland TN
Best year Crown Victoria transmission is in 2006 to 2011 ( 4R75E). Any year downward of that (2005-4-3-2) the transmission 4r70w is a weak piece of garbage dating back to first year 1981 production A.o.d......
Often times at auctions people will remove wires / unplug engine things so warning lights come on and the prices will be cheaper. They win the auction than plug it back in.
Those losers usually don't bid enough to buy it. 😉Craziest I ever saw was a spark plug completely missing out of a newer Explorer. Coil was back in place so when you started it up it had a completely open hole. My brother bough it site unseen, new plug and it was as good as new. Nicest Explorer I have ever seen to boot.
It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
Yeah, dad likes to beat on those auction cars when I first get them. He learned that from the times we go to Capital Auto Auction where you get to test drive the car first finalizing the sale. Not so sure about blasting through the water though.
@@hullinger Precious part of the day is the fact that you spend time with your dad and do things with him in his spry years. As far as the car, definitely a sweet piece.. Many happy miles Chris. !!!!
Love that you bought another one! Can’t wait to see another video of it. Currently have an ‘03 and my gem. Trying to fix the minor issues it have! Entertaining videos and your dad amazing!
So cool to see your dad is a leadfoot daredevil like my pop was, lol. Great car and a great day with your dad, doesn't get much better than that. Best of luck with the new ride.
Hey Chris, nice to see such a great relationship with your Dad! That car looks like a keeper. (Also looks like you and your Dad go to the same barber) ;-)
Your dad getting squirrely in the CV has me laughing in the office. Got my co-workers looking at me like what the hell is going on over there. Cool Vic!
I bought a medium brown 2007 P71 at the Dallas County Sheriffs auction a couple of years ago. I love it. My paint is not as nice as yours as it has taken a beating from the Texas sun. I don't have any rust or corrosion from salt though and the A/C works great. I put the small hub caps on mine also. The brown looks pretty nice all cleaned up. These cars are getting harder and harder to find in good condition. If anyone has been sitting on the fence about buying one, the time is now!
Dude, I wasn't too happy about blasting through the water but luckily everything turned out fine. I figured also these cars were built for handling a little roughness. But, that water was pretty nasty and I think I need to wash down the underside just in case!
I totally felt when you said ”oh alright” after asking how it felt when he initially accelerated .. totally expecting an answer on how the unit felt lol
Can't go wrong with a Crown Vic. I miss seeing these patrolling our roads. Sure the Chargers, Explorers and Tahoes are more powerful and efficient but there was something about the presence of a Crown Vic that can't be replicated. You instantly associate it with the police, at least once upon a time. They were probably the most durable police car ever. That's why I'm glad when I see one in service. Every so often, our local Sheriff's department (typically the Volunteers) will still drive around in a Crown Vic and it makes me happy instead of a stereotypical Charger. Great score, even if you did overpay for it.
I don't live far from Chris. A few days ago I saw an officer in my town driving an unmarked black Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the undercover chrome package and no partition. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the chief's car and only gets driven occasionally. It was clean. They mostly use Explorers now with a few Tahoe K9 cars, they had a few Caprices and Tahoes but they all aged out.
i know when i had my 2000 crown vic i would keep spare coils they would go out without warning. loved the car and got rid of it at 300k miles and still running good. front ends were weak
That's one clean Crown Vic and a unique color. Very few carmakers are brave enough to make brown cars. You don't see Crown Vics much any more so this was a good find. I was in Newark a few days ago and I saw an officer driving an unmarked black Crown Vic with the Street Appearance Package and no partition. It looked clean, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the chief's car. There are still a few in service. Clean Crown Vics always look like they mean business.
Typical auction Shenanigans : unplugging stuff so buyers lose interest and move on or writing on windows saying defective/no start/ need transmission....
it's so amazing that you get a license plate and title right there. I have to have them towed or illegally drive them, then illegally drive them to get inspected, then get registered waiting in a long line
If any one wanna buy a car and doesn't know what to look for when buying a used car just let Chris pick or buy it for you . He always have a good eyes and he pick the cleanest car on the lot just look at this crown vic it's just rare and very clean car . Congrats on this car.
My 2003 is that same brown color, I have seen very few brown ones in person, and they were all admin cars. Mine was an admin car, no cage or spotlight, I bought it off an auction site for $1300 in 2016 and nothing was wrong with it. Bought it site unseen too.
Check for fan function when the ac is on. If not, it may be the fan relay located on the fan housing. 1Aauto had the relay in stock at the best price that did not fail within a month.
Honestly days like this where you pick up a clean older vehicle is far better than picking up a brand new car that you know will lost 30% of it's value the second you hop behind the wheel of it.
make sure your blend door actuator is working. I recently picked up a 11 grand marquis with 48K miles on it and the blend door actuaor quit working one day. Not an easy fix but doable if you're patient. I had it changed at a taxi shop near me.
Don't know if you are interested or not, but I had the Ford stickers insets made for the full wheel covers. I noticed your was missing. These are made with Scotch Lite and don't come off. Professionally made here at a police car make ready shop. Let me know and I can send you my information. If you are not familiar, you can find a picture under "police full wheel cover Crown Victoria police interceptor" A buddy and I have bought a boat load of Crown Vic's from Colorado Highway Patrol. We drove many back to central Texas, 1000 miles. Never had a one leave us sitting along side the road. Some had the check engine light on, no big deal. You"re right, the a/c probably just needs a top off. I don't know what you paid for it, but I think you made a good deal. I currently have three, one 2011 Travis Co sheriff's office, 2007 Texas Alcoholic Bev. Commission, and 2011 Texas Dept. of Public Safety Sgt's car. Love them all.
A deoendable, reliable, coomfortable, powerful large sedan w/o any of the new expensive gizmos. Used to be used not just for just about every law endorcement in the country as well as NYC taxis. I you purchase one, plan on spending some $$$$ totally worth putting some money on such a great vehicle. 8 cilinder, rearwheel drive, with T/C should get aloow you to drive in slippery roads as long as it isn't deep snow.

I just pinned your comment to the top of the list so others will see it easier.
How much do you want for it?

@@carreviewsandmore5581 what do you think is a good price?
Your dad is a hoot, !!! Love his character, nice crown Vic , all your videos are very entertaining!
Thanks so much!
His dad doesn't give a fuck. lol

Love that you and your dad share the same passion for cars! Cheers!
You should include your dad on more of your videos. Love his character 🤣
Love the Crown Vic. One of Fords most durable cars.
That car may outlast some new stuff sold today.
It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
You got the crown Vic again. Hope you keep it for good, and can’t wait to see what you do with this one.
Hey Man! Nice to have you back and thanks for checking out the Crown Vic video today too!
Great video! Dad's a wild man! LOL Very unique color. Looks like a win.
Hey my friend. Thanks for the comment and for checking out the Crown Vic video today!
Glad new to the fleet. Your dad seems happy great content 🎉
Your dad is hilarious, I love that you have a great relationship with him!
Great video as usual and dad is a legend haha, i wish i had that kind of dad/son relationship
Dad is awesome! So glad you get to kick it with him
Geez, Pops has a lead foot. Ole' fashioned wheel man at the helm....

Wish you would put out more videos. I enjoy them very much.
Cant wait to see her clean up! Definitely miss the vic content from you man.

Notice , Chris didn't get angry at his father - Good Father -Son Relationship ..
Thanks my man and thanks for checking out the video today too!

Congrats on another P71 win!
Thank you sir always, always love your videos keep them going!

Possible AC compressor failure clutch failure. Puts a drag on the belt. Check it out before you put on a new belt.
I remember doing pursuit driving classes with the "old" Crown Victoria. Very sturdy & stable car that held its own.
Remind me to never let your father drive one of my cars
for sure 🙄
Hello there. I look forward to your videos. We don't share the same taste in cars but I appreciate them and your enthusiasm.

I’ve never seen a brown one before his Auction bid video. Not a bad color when clean
I like your videos they are classy and professional..it was fun seeing your dad in it..very cool
Your dad is a bad ass. We need more of him!
Vids with you and your Dad are always good, seems he hasn't lost the "boy racer" with age. Tidy looking motor, especially with cloth tear seats
Chris where have you been ??? When will we see a video about this chocolate crown Vic ??
He knew he was driving a truck basically so no need to slow down for a puddle lol
Never seen a vic in that color and you're dad was having a blast
Haha great video, Chris! Your dad is crazy, but funny 😂👍🏻
Beautiful Car I would love to own it
Your Dad loves it, great to see an american classic in action, an unusual color too.
going through that water at speed coulda been a disaster you got really lucky...
Dude, I wasn't too happy about blasting through the water but luckily everything turned out fine. I figured also these cars were built for handling a little roughness. But, that water was pretty nasty and I think I need to wash down the underside just in case!
@@hullinger Well it worked out for you so that's good
Great video - I hope he paid for that repair if something ended up going wrong lol. Dude was driving like a maniac
The old man drives like a wild man! LOL!
My grandfather drove 15 mph over everywhere. His reasoning was no young cop would ticket an old man with a short lifespan 🤣
She's a unique color, can't beat those Panther cars.
Hey man and thanks!
This video made me emotional because of that beautiful classic body on frame land-yacht😢
Interesting color and I like it. Thanks for sharing.
How about a Chris and Dad road trip? Might get some great footage.
That crown vic rides so smooth.
The old Mid-Del Autoparts junkyard in Smyrna. Used to be a thousand parts cars in that lot.
I totally felt when you said ”oh alright” after asking how it felt when he initially accelerated .. totally expecting an answer on how the unit felt lol

Definitely an administrative or brass car.
Your Dad must have been a NASCAR driver !
Nice to see these Crown Vics. They are getting and harder to come by with low mileage and in good shape.
And the ones as you described are very expensive.
Nice Crown Vic with the creme interior looks really good congrats Chris.
You can't beat the Crown Victoria I have an 08 with 180,000 miles and it has plenty of pep. Good luck with your new to you Crown Victoria 👑 👍 😊
Thanks my friend and thanks for watching too!

Thanks, as always and I appreciate you!

my father had a 97 crown vic he had it until the front axle broke
I have 2 P71's. Love them. Solid cars!!!
it's so amazing that you get a license plate and title right there. I have to have them towed or illegally drive them, then illegally drive them to get inspected, then get registered waiting in a long line
Probably got too much water splashed up on the engine and caused that belt to slip, hence the burnt smell and smoking.
Hey buddy good to see you like that vic good luck
Pops funny. He seems like a great man❤
Dad was acting like he might've eaten one of those mushrooms!
Where have you Been .....been witing months to find out about this crown vic and more updates on your life and your channel

That is a beautiful color on that car.
Rare Color Combo! Nice Find! 👍
Nice ride.... It's a keeper.
Welcome to Brown Victoria ownership. Do the Grand Marquis door panel and dash trim swap for maximum brown goodness.
Chris, does your dad driving have anything to do with not making it back with an auction car? Man, he's dangerous! ;o)
Have to find the weakest link somehow

Chris, are you publishing any new videos about the root beer Crown Victoria???
How much does an 08 like this go for now? i bought an 08 w/110k and 1300 id hrs back in 17 for 4400 and i still love it!
The A/C compressor issue on my 2008 ended up being a bad relay - $10 fix.
