I had a 900F and it didn't have a fork brace. TeleFix made one which I used for significant improvement for the wobbly front end.

Your series of walk-around videos are excellent and you seem very knowledgeable. Do you reckon the comstar wheels are lighter or better quality than the cast ones on your cb1100f? I'm asking since I own a cb400n superdream from 1983 and I'm thinking of switching wheels to the cast rims from a ft500 to enable me to run a rear disc brake just like the SuperHawk III and mimic the appearance of a cb1100F. Also, you should check out Marving exhausts from italy, you might prefer the look of them over hindle. Cheers from Sweden!

Hey.....I like the cast wheels and also the Comstars. I think the Comstars would be harder to restore and they are very difficult to disassemble. In terms of weight, it's a good question, I would think the Comstars would be lighter. I like the look of Marving exhaust, but I prefer the stainless look of the Hindle

@@x7eater Thanks for the answer, greatly appreciated! Next time you do some more work on your bikes, consider filming it because you're a great video presenter.

Just got my hands on the same spec US model. I have an import certificate but will need an engineers report before inspection for registration. What modifications do you need to do to the headlight to get it to pass for Aussie rego. Appreciate your help if you have a solution. Really liked your series of Honda video's.

Hey Graham, it will depend on what state you are in. In QLD I had to get an engineering report, but there was nothing on the bike I had to change, i.e. the headlight angle was fine I have imported other bikes that had red reflectors on the rear turn signals…so had to change those, and a couple of other bikes had the front turn signals wired as running lights, I.e. always on, but that’s a 5 minute fix to switch over some connectors in the headlamp bucket.

Also, ask the engineer to glue the compliance plate onto the frame, under the seat just behind the battery, that’s still legal, but doesn’t mess with the look of the bike.

The last thing you want is an engineer drilling holes in your frame for the compliance plate!!
