I had one of those for a great many years..It was fast but it was heavy but very solid..Tons of torque..I loved it and wore it slap out..:).It made more power then anything else like it they have marketed since then.
That was my FIRST BIKE... yea 1100cc first motorcycle. I LOVED that bike. Riding position is best... The other sport bikes of that era, you had to sit leaned forward, sitting on your nuts... not fun.
My uncle bought same year and color scheme new when he was in highschool. He worked 2 jobs and saved all his money for 3 years. He rode it into the ground and sold it. Pretty sure he still regrets it.
Still the most beautiful bike Honda ever built. Had two the same color. One I bought still in the crate from Honda of Wilmington. They still had two more in crates the summer of '84. Built a Yoshimura/Wiseco 1123 with Mikuni carbs out of one and left the other stock. I used to walk all over V65s, FJ12s and VMaxs with the stock bike. As soon as they broke loose, their eyes got big and they would unwrist while I would keep ridin through it. After that, there was just no catchin up. This bike was no joke. Even though the FZR 750 would out run it, it would still cause concern for the rider next to ya no matter what they were on. Bought a ZRX1100 just because it looked like a cb1100f.
those of that are shopping just wanna know price.. also didnt american models come with blue anodized rims ,,, the canadian models i red had gold anodized rims,, not questioning authenticity but anodized rims were one of the main features on bike. if im wrong i apologize .. but the gold anodized rims and tha blue anodized were signiture to bike,,, ive had 2 in red .. if im wrong i apologize
I saw 2 of these on add on one local site. The bikes were of 2 buddies, they'd had them since brand new and would ride same trip every summer. The seller specified he'd like the sell them together. Really moved me and I really wanna buy em, too bad i don't have the dough. 3800€ a piece which i think is still a good price seeing they were in a pretty mint condition.

Bike is not a 10. Crack in the faring, missing rear turn signals and the motor is broke. Ding in tank. I’ve owned two. One bought new, one not.
