It is beautiful I have a black one like it, also 1980, and now with 115,000 miles. I am almost 72 years old so the 750F leads a really easy life now. I use it mostly cruising back roads in our very rural area of northern Ny state, USA. I sometimes take it on 200 mile trips through the Adirondack Mountains as I did this fall with friends. I changed the original gearing from a 36 tooth rear sprocket to a 32 tooth. The bike is torquey and pulls the higher gearing easily when one up or 2 up riding. After owning lots of different bikes over 55 years of motorcycling, I really do think these are super good bikes. It always seems to feel much more modern than its 42 years of age. I enjoyed your vid.
@@sqd37l Can't remember where I bought the sprocket but suspect it was thru Dennis Kirk Company. Yes I wanted to gear higher and found there was no bigger front drive sprocket available. Good luck with yours. It will be a few months before I can get back out on mine as I am in very northern NY state near Canada.
Awesome bike! I just picked up a 90% original 1979 CB750F with about 17k on the clock... Working on getting it back to as near stock and cleaned up as I can! Cheers from Texas! I'll used your bike as a template.
I have a 1980 CB750 FA 32 K kilometers, the only non std parts are the silencers. These are chrome aftermarket silencers which unlike the std pipes do not have the kink. Otherwise it’s completely stock.
My friends mom called me and sold me his 1980 for $1,100.00 US In 1982.. As she just wanted it paid off and gone...He only put 1250 miles on it..You should have seen the guys at work. When I rolled up with it.. As I worked for Yamaha and now owned this and a 1982 Honda CR 125...
Beautiful collection, I had a 82 CB750F in black, I now have a 1979 CB750L Anniversary Edition another great Honda oh and a blue 1983 CB1100F

I had a black one also. I didnt know that you could get a smaller rear sprocket. I thought it was geared too low.

The cam covers are correct. I have one i rode home from the dealer brand new.
Nice, in very good nick. Typical cam lash idling noise just like my old 1980 CB900F. Pity about the nanny speedo and the cruiser bars.
