If you use crystals please keep it away from anything but your pond water. PP is fantastic stuff and has many uses, from athletes foot to painting stockings as in WW2. It is also lethal if used incorrectly.
Sun light effects it? BNot sure about that. It is an oxydent so the extra stone wont harm them . Re mixng it gently we some times do individual kois in a concentrate bath with no ill effects
Can I use Potassium Permanganate HMnO4 (97.5%) instead of KMnO4 (99%) for koi fish pond disinfect treatment? Are these two products are the same? Can they both do koi fish treatment?

your water didnt turn tea color meaning you do not have much organic matters there. i treated my pond with PP it turn to tea color in one hour. i re dosed two times over the course of 4 hours. lots of oxygen no feeding is the key !!!!

I have a beautiful tancho with a scratch around the eye, I've tried all parasite medication. Didn't work do you think potassium permagante will do it?

why are you treating them?
And what is rpm?
I too like yourself have pleco’s in my pond. Do you remove yours when using PP?
Alan Choi nope! Never have removed them is 3years!! They handle all treatments. Lowest temp 18c.
