Who in the Great State of Texas would give this a thumbs down. It had to be an accident.

Best Texas band ever! If the Flatlanders don't bring a smile to your face, you may be beyond help.

There are dozens of covers of this great song but The Flatlanders show us how it should be done. This is fantastic.

Jimmy dale was one of the first to rec this towns classic. He joined jimmys band to sing it wirh him in the ulster hall belfast many years ago.
The flatlanders first album changed things for a lot if musicans. Such a great recording, but the more electric stuff is great too. Respect is overdue to the texas flatlanders. From the irish wetlanders.

Garrison Keillor did Prairie Home Companion in Lubbock about 7 years ago and these guys were the musical guests. My girlfriend fell in love with Jimmy Dale Gilmore.

It's great. First time I hear The Flatlanders. And just before I discovered Jimmie Dale Gilmore. And Dave Alvin. Such moments are great. It's hard to find good new music and artists and every time I do I feel good.

How many times do y'all think this song has been played on the ACL stage? How many folks do y'all think have done it on this stage? Kinda the quintessential Austin City Limits song.

Now just wait a minute here.
What I just saw was something that could have been from 1,000 years ago, or from 1,000 years from now.
If you don't get that, I can't explain it to you.
