Just yesterday I was thinking haven’t seen your hear from Nscaler454 . Get up these morning and there’s an update. I do like the expansion looking forward to seeing it come together. Thanks for sharing. Have a good weekend. 😎😎 👍
Looking great and continuous run is key i think for enjoyment. It took me 10 years to finally complete my last module and the continuous run goal kept me going on the last module.
You only need to use 1X3 and ¼" plywood is more than strong enough. Just use screws to join sections and circle them with a marker. Your home layout need to be set up for going to shows so keep it simple and cheap
Just cut your other backdrop that much longer and shape to match the cutout. After it’s taped and painted you’ll never see the seam. Nice to see the layout make a significant expansion. What is your plans for the fore space at the front of the layout?
I notice the ceiling doesn’t have any panels on it, just joists. Please consider putting in a false ceiling…I left mine open like yours and I have tons of dust on my layout. I constantly have to clean it. Sadly, my basement is not full height so a drop ceiling or panel ceiling is not possible. If you can put one in, though, I’d highly recommend it.
hello nscaler454 it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks nscaler454 friends randy and i am enjoy yours video nscale 454thanks good friends randy
Do you build easements into your curves? When I started considering them, I realized that, in N scale, they are really tiny fractions of inches. I figured that they were beyond my capabilities of precision, so I didn't bother even trying.
Probably. I have worked around panels with a lot less access than mine haha. Being a modular layout, I can unbolt half of it and pull it out if needed.
Kids.... please do NOT drive in a long screw from one side, and put your hand on the other. Not the safest idea, but it will make for a funny commercial for Acme Products!! Use a clamp instead, please.
Looking good having more track with the ability to run trains continuously will be great!

With winter on our doorstep, I should be able to focus more on the layout, which means more videos.
Heck yes dude! Glad to hear, and can't wait to see! You are the channel I come to first to get that N-scale fix!
Nothing better then more Layout and more Scenery. Bob

Looks fantastic.
I will follow the project with great interest
Excited to see you building on and making them sectional!
Good choice. These bolts are also used on the Eiffel Tower in Paris 😂😂 Greetings
they must be good enough then haha.
nice video and a great work
Nice addition! Nothing wrong with a good ole dog bone!

some switching industry.

Good tip. Mine does get dusty, but it's not horrendous. I think I need to do more regular cleaning around the layout though to prevent dust.
Looks great. Do you plan to continue the refinery industrial scene?
I suspect some extra details here and there, but for the most part it is done.
You need to print out a picture of Roan/Monster X landing on a blue card to fill in your backdrop cut away!😂
I don't know what Roan/Monster X is, but that does give the idea to use a printing some blue sky on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper.
Nice work, did you consider a lift or bridge section in front of the electrical panel for access to it?
I did consider it, but it didn't work with my plans.

I do build easements into my mainlines. I put them under the track. I have a video on it. Update 8 I believe.
That electrical panel should have more room in front of it for the electrician to access it.

What do you use for layout planning?
Anyrail. I made a video about it. :)
lets GO!
N scale expansion layout.
Big table? Run trains.

Good tip. Fortunately I already checked the depth of the screw into the wood. I'd never do that with a nail gun though. Be safe folks!
