Just purchased this kit from Hobby Lobby at 40% off! My first Bandai kit and i was impressed by the quality and detail.

I really liked the way it looked in just all black/white base layer; like a dirty snow camouflage. But it did look fantastic at the end.

Just finished this kit myself but I painted the interior and used washes. I did some modifying on the seats as well as the roof, cutting out the snap areas and sanding things down, so the top can be removed and someone if they want, can't view the interior. I also used a Photo Etch set to fix the missing interior detail on the roof. For my AT-ST, I used the base for a foundation of snow.

Nice video on a series of Star Wars kits that are becoming a fast favorite - Many Tamiya armor kits died to bring us this information.

Mig wash will melt the leg joints causing them to crack. Also I believe the feet as well. I watched mine crumble soon after the Mig wash was applied . It seems that Andy did not apply too much to these areas and got away with it.
Currently trying to repair , but the more I mess with it the worse it gets. Hoping once the enamel cures I can fix it or hide it. Would purchase it again and just leave the leg joints off and weather them only with acrylics.

it is a beautiful model, very well built. I look at it and I have a question---how are you supposed to get in and out of this thing? There's no ladder on it anywhere, and you'd have to be Spiderman to climb the sides of it. I can see some sort of a frame at a base, but what if you're in the field?
Not very well thought out, that's for sure.

Hello Andy, Have you experience any issues between enamel wash and Bandai kits? I used Mig enamel wash to wash Bandai AT-ST kit, but the plastic cracks (around feet and leg joints) after I made some adjustment of the pose. Do you know any solution beside putting primer before assembly?
    Thanks!

I love the way you did this kit. I am sorry I am late to the show. You mentioned that you were taking some outside photos. If you have any advice that I would appreciate it.

I'm a bit confused. The first coats of paint were Arcrylic. Then you used Tamiya enamel paints. Doesn't the enamel eat up the Arcrylic? I've tried to use Tamiya panel liner over an Arcrylic primer with bad results.

at 5:40 you comment that you finished all of the "detail sanding." I know this is years old, but what kind of sanding material and grit did you use(if you can remember) and what exactly does "detail sanding" mean? I am a beginner and if anyone else can explain I welcome the input and advice. Thanks in advance
