Sidd, there is actually an interesting fact about Pretty Tied Up. If you look at the printed lyrics in Use Your Illusion II, at the end there is a line that goes: "but I can tell you a thing or two 'bout somethin' else If you really want to know...know what I'm sayin'" This line is not heard on the album version, but It is included on the live versions. The song fades out on the studio version, which obviously makes this line disappear, but you can hear Axl sing this part on the Tokyo Show in 92 at the very end.
Love this song! Wish they'd bring it back live! Pretty Tied Up, Locomotive, Don't Damn Me, and Double Talkin' Jive are my favorite Guns deep cuts. Such good riffs!
I love pretty tied up, it such an awesome song. I love that story at 2:00 it's such a WTF story, love it hahah. Thanks for posting this, it was awesome!
Full name is "Pretty tied up (The perils of rock n' roll decadence)" and I think it's about where the band were heading, caused by the success, drama and drug abuse. Izzy saw the writing on the wall.
Loved this song as a teen. Just had that first line in my head just now so Googled the meaning to see if it was a Rolling Stones ref but probably is a dig at the state of the band especially as Izzy left not long after. The story about the dominatrix fits the rest of the song. 😂
I wish they would play dust and bone, izzy sang alot of it but the whole band.including slash sang on it , the more I listen to it the better I like it !!!
Guns N' Roses Central I know in the video duffs part was thats alright and izzy and duff sang most of it.axl , slash and izzy were singing togeather all of them which I never seen before slash didnt have a bad voice tho the part he sang was swearing but I think it would do good if they released it to the new fans , its just has that dance groove to it
One of Slash’s best wah solos IMO. I always found Dizzy’s piano to be unnecessary. Would have preferred louder guitars. Also, the 2nd verse is absolutely an eerie foreshadowing...it’s almost as if Izzy already knew what was going to happen. Great video!
I could tell you exactly what happened in Lexington Kentucky in 1991 supposed to be in June 28th they postponed the next day so we send them on the 29th occupied up got a hundred bucks to leave the show I don't know if he's trying to start a fight or if he was complaining about his tickets or what, then he asked everyone to talk tonight I'll give you five hundred bucks to leave and everybody screamed fuk no! I was the most rock and roll thing I think I've ever saying I was 14.
Hey am I the only one that thinks that Axl sounds worse/different in some of the songs in Live Era then he usually did at other concerts? Like was he sick or something? If you don’t get it, just listen to a song like Welcome to the jungle live in Tokyo, or Rocket Queen live in Tokyo, then listen to them on the Live Era album. He sounds different.
The vocals on “Live Era” sound 100x better than the “Tokyo 92” shows. Axl sounded awful on that DVD...🤷🏼♂️ Obviously consider he redid or touched them up in the studio this makes sense, but they don’t sound worse, they sound better!
Damn this voice f****** thing Axl Rose paid somebody $100 to leave I don't know if he was trying to start a fight or if he was complaining about the ticket sales but then he asked everybody in the balcony he will give them five hundred bucks to leave and everybody scream to Fuck no! I hate to say it but I would have taken the money and left and then bought another ticket and walked right back in. LOL

He probably knows since he heard the rough mix which he talked about in the video where you can actually hear it since theres no fade out
thanks for this totally forgot about it.

One of the all time Best Gn'R songs. Izzy is a boss
Just heard it. Favorite
Full name is "Pretty tied up (The perils of rock n' roll decadence)" and I think it's about where the band were heading, caused by the success, drama and drug abuse. Izzy saw the writing on the wall.

Cool and stressing (cool ranch dressing)
I wish they would play dust and bone, izzy sang alot of it but the whole band.including slash sang on it , the more I listen to it the better I like it !!!
they did play dust n bones once without izzy in 1992 in tennessee. Duff sang the song i think.

I like the rough mix version with an actual ending. Shame it's left channel only. On Q-Sound mix right channel is faintly there though.

Great video!
thanks! Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already.
Like your videos, can appreciate the work you put into your video's , but Pretty Tied Up is not featured on Live Era.
I prefer the unaltered live era version souly because of the vocals during the end
On the vevo page there is this one YT user who says I am that chick in melrose

Yeah, yeah, I love this song and all but, dude, what the fuck is up with Axl's "cool ranch dressing" lyric?
I wanna say Slash cane up with it.IDK why i think that touche

he re-recorded vocals for a lot of the songs, that's why the album sounds the way it does.
The vocals on “Live Era” sound 100x better than the “Tokyo 92” shows. Axl sounded awful on that DVD...🤷🏼♂️

Kinda missing those red shorts .....just saying
