Found some info about the guitarist on these tracks... Johnny "Fret" Malone (b. 1932) was a groundbreaking guitarist whose fiery, blues-infused style shaped the sound of hard rock. A mysterious prodigy from Memphis, he rose to fame in the 1950s, contributing iconic riffs to The Guns N’ Roses' *Appetite for Destruction*. Known for hits like "Steel Reverie" and "Echoes of Midnight," Fret's signature black Stratocaster and electrifying stage presence made him a legend. Despite his enigmatic persona, his influence continues to resonate through rock history.
These series of videos are, hands down, my favorite musical thing that have happened in 2024. You know, I’m torn because, on one hand I want to know every last detail of how these are made (My gut tells me that A.I. must/might be playing a role), if it’s one genius behind it or if it’s a group of studio pros, who is reimagining these arrangements (all those spectacular guitar riffs that often replace, PERFECTLY, the original iconic guitar parts)… I mean, the production sounds and instrumentation are beyond spot on. There’s also a video floating around of the Beatles “Rubber Soul” recast as a mid-60s Motown album that, I believe, was created by a different creator(s?) than this?!?! This shit is AMAZING. On the other hand, I am so digging the mystery. Whomever you are, you brilliant creator, I thank you.
@@anyversionofme I have the same feeling. Very torn by the fact that this seems to be completely rendered by AI. It is impressive sounding and fun to listen to but it is the lack of human talent involved, other than the artists upon which the AI has been trained, which is disturbing.
@@anyversionofme I surely do love music but, honestly, I am not too worried about A.I. having any serious impact on real music any more on gas station sushi affecting fine dining, you know/lol? But, for real, even if everything we are hearing is A.I., and I bet you're right about that, what were the inputs that made this happen? Shit is fascinating to me.
@@GabelHandle Boss... Where do you suppose these guys learned from? There's LOADS of 50s music that rocks just as hard as any 80s Metal... Yes, I remember this during the dictatorship of General Dwight D. Eisenhower (1943 until 1970). Music it was one of the few ways that we could dream of freedom that time. This particular song was even played during his funeral (he was assassinated by the photo model M. Monroe). Its funny how this death brought to us a change in our lives: we are now monarchy.
@paddyoak1 Interesting point. Plus... I'm a musician, play acoustic guitar shows. Occasionally. I'll twist the style of a classic song around (like a countrified version of AC/DCs You Shook Me). These interpretations may inspire more of that. Looking forward to hearing more!
The fact that so many listeners don't know this was generated by AI shows how powerful the technology is. Music itself in human form is simply copying something existing with a twist. Once AI finds real, catchy songs which are slightly modified copies you'll never hear another human song again. It's too fast, too accurate. Musicians are afraid bc it's so easy to copy what they do. In 20 years there won't be a single "real' song left and it won't be any big deal honestly and I'm a musician myself
Far more creative than the Rap/Hip Hop thieves stealing from everyone for the last 45 years. No way to stop it now, the three majors are creating own sites to use other artists material to create stuff like this. Unless the courts step in to end it, which now will never happen, it's here to stay.
It's actually pretty good. Appetite is a perfect album. Illusion was also a damn good double, but GnR were downhill and we didn't perceived it... just took too long for ChDem to be released to made it cristal clear
Man! Look at Duff stealing the whole picture with that stud look lol. Not gonna lie, I thought the It's so crazy cover would be more like the version they did in Arsenio Hall show back in 88' I think it was. Like it that tempo
Excellent. It is a little known rumour that Pat Boone copied " Its so easy ." And The vocalist of the GnR as enthusiasts called this beat combo . Little William Roseaxe Bailey ( Stupid Celtic name. ) hated it . And so did Little Richard .
I know that some artists "borrow" from others for inspiration, but G&R completely ripped a whole albums worth of songs off these guys. What a bunch of frauds.
You need to find some musicians to embellish these so there's a trace of the original song aside from the lyrics. These give me so many ideas for stuff I'd overdub.
"Feel my serpentine" Did I just catch a new drift that I missed before? I feel like I'm the last one to the party. It's So Easy. No airplay for this band of miscreants.
I always said GNR's older stuff was their best stuff.
These covers of GNR and Sabbath are the only way I've learned the actual lyrics!
right?
Been listening to Crazy Train for 40 years and had no idea it was an anti-Cold War song until someone did a jazz rendition.
Finally these songs are listenable!! I mean they are different songs... but the lyrics show themselves.
You should hear the cover album for Zep II.
Yes, me too 💯
These 50s covers are mind boggling.
In the future, when you have four million subs, I'll be back to say I got in at the beginning. Fantastic idea for a channel!
It doesn't feel like it but, the album was released closer in time to the 50's than the 80's are to today.
Those of us who grew up watching these videos on MTV did not need that reminder.
GNR went big during my Freshman year of college. 86-87. Sheez...

I read somewhere that he once said his iconic hat got laid more than he did.

That guitar solo on Mr. Brownstone is freakin awesome!

Man I could listen to this Band all day and NIGHT!
This is soooooooooo GENIUS! SERIOUSLY!! How is this not big time?!!
Brings to mind Spinal Tap's "Gimme Some Money".
Thank you so much for this.
🎅Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone🎅
"Nighttrain" seems natural in this style
Agreed. Honestly, if I didn't know this was Guns N' Roses, I'd think it was clearly an original song from the 50s.
@@apexerman1the same with Sweet Child O' Mine. It sounds like a song that Elvis could have sang in the 50's.

Staright facts brotha!
Awesome! These are the better versions of the best old songs ever!
I have to say, as many reservations as I may have about AI, I'm really loving these 50s. era interpretations.
Exactly how I feel. Then I thought, let’s be inspired by these AI albums to get out and see a local band

Dis right here. Dis is goooooood!! Thank you for doing this!
And will this channel of 50s AI covers be the first to cover Rush in this way? I want to hear The Rushes Tom Sawyer
This was the timeline we deserved.
Lol. Can’t imagine how the old TV censors would of addressed them if they had a problem with the “innocent” Stones lyrics.
When I put this on in background I forget I'm listening to a Guns 'N' Rose's album and I'm just listening to a 50s rockabilly band.
This just makes me
Realize how much I love the song “think about you “
These are so great. You should have a million subscribers.
A band that marked my adolescence, now I feel as if I had 15 in the 50's simply great !!!
The singing is great, they belt out the debauchry of guns in a whole different way.
Word. For word. Making me laugh right now makes you awfully worthwhile.
💖👍
And here I was thinking “It’s So Easy“ was sounding pretty good 50s style, until the F 💣s started falling like rain 😂
To me Paradise City was a standout track capturing the 50s sound, but would fit even better with some Jerry Lee Leiws style lead piano.
Muy buenas versiones... Curiosas y pegajosas. Genial.
Fíjate que 'Welcome to the jungle' se me hace que podría ir más al Pachuco Style.
Saludos.
que capo!!!!! es espectacular!!!
this might be the best yet!
I think so too and I can't stand Guns and Roses, but these lyrics lend themselves to this style so well.
Don't forget the Stray Cats had some big hits with their Rockabilly sound in the early 80's, just a few yrs before this album was originally released.
My Michelle is the most haunting track because the lyrics are dark as s*** but the tempo is so happy and upbeat.

Outstanding!!!
Absolutely brilliant.
They just get better! Happy Xmas!
This is righteous.
Something about the bare bones nature makes it even harder.
I cannot help but laugh through all of these... Brilliant!
The F-bombs in Out Ta Get Me sound so innocent. LOL
Appetite is my favorite album. This is 😊
murder of genuine creativity

No. Humanity needs to create art and music.
Absolutely the best thing ever created.
Waiting for the Kinks but this one is my fave so far. The Led Zeppelins, The Queens and the Deep Purples is awesome too tho lol
Great job!! Sooo fun to hear.
Sounds cool the whole band look different in this
Legit - this is really super not bad
Oh heck yeah!!!
This definitely has a Bakersfield Sound vibe...
I can understand the lyrics... :)))
So good i had to comment twice!!!
Paradise City nailed it!
sweet child o mine 👍
My fav track on this too 😎
LMAO at this track.

This was genius guys!
It's an AI masterpiece.
"Hey, Beavis...what Izzy?"
Groovy!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!
Can you make Megadeth Rust in Piece next, please? I really like your covers)
I want to hear a '50s version of "One in a Million"!!!
I feel like Johnny Cash would have loved this album.
ive been singing black flags slip it in to a country theme for months
Rock-a-billy for Destruction
This is GOOD...
But it would have been GREAT if it was done closer to the Buck Owens and The Buckaroos style.
It's pretty damn close.
It's so easy would be censored in the 50s.
So fukcin` great! I love it!
Maybe change a word or two. Like in Night Train, most people didn't have "credit cards" to take to the liquor store in the 1950's. 😁
Only rich people had them
I'm glad we get something useful from A.I. before it turns into Skynet.
Man! Look at Duff stealing the whole picture with that stud look lol. Not gonna lie, I thought the It's so crazy cover would be more like the version they did in Arsenio Hall show back in 88' I think it was. Like it that tempo
THIS IS GREAT! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🤣🤣🤣
Huge sick fan of GN'R till I die. Loved it...
They talked about you in the radio
If Out to Get Me had Don Rich pickin and singin it would have been a real Buckaroo.

great
Apetite for Rock-a-Billy
I didn't think cuss words were allowed in songs from that era
I'm sorry, but even if it's with the aid of AI, it still took a human to take the initiative to do this.
Pure fucking brilliance.
Any chance of doing The Dammed or Buzzcocks ?
I'm going to listen to that again.
Your Great Grandparents Guns N Roses
Can you to the beatles if it would be in the 80s like rock metal time
I know that some artists "borrow" from others for inspiration, but G&R completely ripped a whole albums worth of songs off these guys. What a bunch of frauds.
This is fckn Awsome
Sweet Child of Mine sounds like the swamp pop king Johnnie Allen.
Surprised I couldn't hear Axl getting to first base with Steven's girlfriend on Rocket Queen.
Better than the original
This is fucking cool. Thanks!
When does the accompanying video come?
Great.

Its so " fn esay" might not have flown back then😅
Paradise City would work naturally as a country-western two step! Quick,Quick, slow.. slow.. Quick,Quick, slow.. slow..
mmmm...... How about one of the Heavy Metal-records of all Heavy Metal-records, Judas Priest "Defenders of the Faith" ?
"Feel my serpentine" Did I just catch a new drift that I missed before? I feel like I'm the last one to the party.
