Very strange to see so low ranking on this song. I've always thought it's one of the top notch GNR songs on Illusion and wished they could have played it on the new tour... I remember it on Tokyo 92 live how Duff didn't quite articulate out the "if you could only live my life' and it always looked so funny to me, knowing about his alcohol issue at the time and on the next scene Slash starting to headbang so hard that his cigarette falls off lol :D
It also reminds me of knockin on heavens door! But its quite high on my list. I especially love listening to the 1992 Tokyo version, that one is really awesome!
So fine is one of my favorite songs and the Tokyo '92 performance is so damn good! I like that Axl changed up the lyrics at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The more i watch of this, the more of the song makes sense to me. This is #6 on my list (Pretty high) and i'd love to see it live during 2017!
so fine is one of my favorite GNR songs. I've always tended to like the person who hs the influence on me, own personal influence as well. In this case Duff is one of my biggest influences but I never cared much for Johny Thunders.
I’ve always loved this song. But then, I’ve been crushing on Duff since I was 10 years old, lol. 🖤 You say it reminds you of Knocking On Heaven’s Door; It kinda reminds me of Don’t Cry in a way.
This song instantaneously transports me to 1995, I listened to it in FL, with friends in Buenos Aires, and later Santo Domingo. It is as important as knocking on heavens door IMHO. I love the fact that Duff also sings on it, think of the older combination of Greg Rollie vs. Steve Perry on “Feeling that way” in Journey.
Well, since Duff is my favorite member of GNR I wish that they'd play it. Next to "Patience" it's pretty much the GNR post Appetite For Destruction song I listen to the most.
I've played so fine 100 times and thought it really captured the true feeling of that magical moment when a guy sees a girl, or a girl sees a guy, that blows their mind. And the sweet, simple thoughts they are thinking. Now that you explained what the song was *really* about, I can't get that image out of my head! Damn, and Duffy is sooo sexy!
Howard Teman played piano on so fine and also did the "cat call" on used to love her on lies....he also filled in on druns for Adler when he broke his arm. Teman who's a tattoo artist in Studio City also owned/rented the Houdini house that is owned now by Rick Rubin and is a recording studio...(haunted supposedly) Guns used to hang out there around the release of appetite.
Axl commented about it in 1991 and said "there's no reason to play Get In The Ring live because the point came across on the album" or something similar. too bad such a good song
none of them liked Johnny Thunders personally... Duff on his book says that they played with Thunders in LA and he pissed them off... Duff said he had a different view of the guy (Thunders) that was his idol
I mentioned it in another video but deleted my comment, but it’s spelled Worcester, Massachusetts, & it’s pronounced ‘wuss-stir’, not spelled ‘Worchester’ & not pronounced ‘war-chester’
By the way, love the story. I can just picture the look on Axl and Duff's faces as they were looking for the lyrics. And the poor guy trying to figure out what song it was. haha.
Yeah, I can't understand how someone wouldn't like this song. Maybe the problem is that it's not in the top 10. Most normies don't have the attention span to look any deeper. I have a particular affection for the ones that start after number 10! They're more special because they haven't been played to death on the radio.
I've always liked this song, as well as Duff's abilities on multi instruments and his good voice. It's a shame the material on "Believe In Me" was so week, otherwise it could've been a great solo album.
I don't give a damn what number some magazine ranks my bands songs. What does it matter??? I couldn't pick a favorite if u had a gun to my head! I will say that I wish they would take every cover song out of their set list. It's all subjective personal opinion. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you left the lists out of your reports.
Well i allways thought it was a good song... I used to like it... I think it was a good kinda intro to Estranged in a way. I allways thought it was a way out to conclude the album and therefor it kinda seems to be the "intro" to the last bunch of songs..
Honestly this song is one of my favorite GnR songs. Just sounds so unique from their most popular sounds.

Never noticed...now i have to go watch to see that lol
Amazing song. Very underrated. Love the Punk influence Diff brought to Gn'R
I love this song. Duff’s voice match so good with Axl’s. One of my favorites of GNR
yes I would love to hear that song live ..
It also reminds me of knockin on heavens door! But its quite high on my list. I especially love listening to the 1992 Tokyo version, that one is really awesome!
yeah it sounds a bit like heavens door.
One of my favorite GnR songs, love live the memory of JT
yeah i like the song a lot too, wish they would perform it live on tour.

same here, they need more illusions songs.

it sounds like both tbh.

it's a shame that Patience is alternated each show with Don't Cry. If they got rid of the seeker they could play both.
Another great true story. I always learn something new watching your videos. They are excellent. Keep up the good work my friend.
thanks for the nice words David.
Love so fine one of my top 5 favorite guns songs for sure and yes they should add it to there set list 🤘
agreed

Yes! I wish they would play this song in NYC on Aug 15th.
enjoy the show!
This is the one song I am very surprised has not played been played yet on the not in this lifetime tour.
same here
You did it again 👍 . I put this on mix tape for a girl. Totally shocked this song was about a man Duff admires!!great job ! 🤘
personally it inmy top 5 favorite Guns songs.it would be awesome if duff did it in his solo time during the concert once in a while to change shit up.

Lol same thought it was about a woman...makes me see the song differently, bit of a bummer, thought it was romantic
Great video, thanks for all the info!
you're welcome Mike!
I love this song and I also reminds me of knocking on heavens door.

I would love hearing songs like this or bad obsession, considering they are pretty easy to sing compared to others in the setlist
agreed. Would love to see them play it live.
this true story about the song "so fine" is superb
thanks Jeff!
I think they should play more songs from the illusions records
agreed i would love to see that.
Guns N' Roses Central do you know why they never play get in the ring live? That would be the coolest fucking song ever live
I actually like the Illusions more than Appetite for Destruction.
Axl commented about it in 1991 and said "there's no reason to play Get In The Ring live because the point came across on the album" or something similar. too bad such a good song

Love this song
Haven't listened to it in years. Maybe I'll drag it out and give it a run, but it's not high on the list.
axls book???

thanks McFly!
Just to clarify it is pronounced Wooster Massachusetts. 😄
thanks! I'm Canadian! haha

yeah especially considering he had so many big names on the album.
I like the hook of the song, but that's about it
Your on tour and these people can't memorize the lyrics to these tunes. I find the tele prompter just plain lazy.

I love the song, bit bummed he isnt singing about loving a woman, lol but a man?
