Ale is on the point of collapse have way through this. This wee sweetheart aged about 12 doing this at the end of an exhausting set just breaks my heart. What a beast she is. ❤
The Cave is The Warning's rehearsal space in their home in Monterrey. The first video did at The Cave was the band moving on from playing covers. That video was made in 2018. After the Queen of the Murder Scene was release. The Whiskey version (Jan. 2019) was played maybe 6 months after The Cave version was released. The Whiskey was a private show The Warning did as an reward for their Kickstarter Campaign to fund studio time for Queen of the Murder Scene.
This was shortly before Ale became a Spector artist, she played a Spector Euro4LX bass she got as a gift from a bassist fan in New York, and he in turn got 2 four-string basses of her own Ale-line inferno bass guitar series in 2020 when they played at the Stone pony. Dany plays her Manson MA-2 EVO. This shows what The Warning are capable of!
Neat reaction video to a good solid cover version. Always good getting your insights as professional musicians into The Warning (& in this case, also Metallica's) workings. Happy - belated - Birthday Sam.
As much as I love a good The Warning Cave performance (Kickstart My Heart! Dull Knives! what a great time to be alive!) this was awesome.🤘 Happy Birthday Sam!
This was so freaking cool to see and hear live. It remains the pinnacle of my concert going career. The amps were rentals at this show. Dany also used someone else's Ovation acoustic to play Crimson Queen that night. I miss the Manson, and look forward to her playing the yellow one Matt Bellamy gifted her more. I love seeing reactions from this show, as, not only was it my first The Warning concert, but also the most epic event I've ever attended. I scrimped and saved to afford to fly from CT to attend. Some high-ranking TWA put together a few days of complete awesomeness, the memories of which flood back whenever I see reactions to this show. Thanks for the video!
Nice Reaction Guys! I agree with Sam, they did a very good job with just 3 people. The Warning is over in Japan right now! June 12 - 14, for 3 shows and one of those shows is with Band Maid! Happy Birthday Sam!
Happy Birthday Sam! Poor Ale was so tired she actually struck the neck of her bass on the stage. Listen carefully and you can hear it. That’s when Dany started really watching her. This song came after a two hour set. Peace
Have you already seen Band-Maid and The Warning performing their new collab song together on stage? Their is a 30 seconds snippet on their social media ❤ Now we know what they‘ve been doing for 2 weeks in Tokio …
I love what Dany is wearing for this. It sort of reminds me of like a 1970s style cotton track suit mixed with a 1950s style biker's suit or 1960s motorcross. Anyone know what you call such a style these days? Also, this is my favorite 'lesser known' cover that they've done. The song intimidates me as a musician for all the beat changes. Each section is simple enough but the way they're blended and arranged is really wild. The more I listen to it (this is probably the 10th time) the more I like the song musically. It's a freight train with the occasional 'Choo Choo!' moments.
Happy Birthday Sam 🍰, and welcome back both of you. AS for your present mate, the best I can do is say 'You're in my top 5 reactors ever' and I do use your name occasionally when discussing music in person or over the net. 😃 Enjoyable as always guys and yes, that kit is a beast - I'm pretty sure that Pau used every cymbal at least once. This was an encore (you will find the circumstances below elsewhere in other comments) after a 22 song gig so to say they were tired would be an understatement (especially Ale who was nearly dead on her feet, with an eyeroll to boot
It is to be noted, that back in those days, often they did not have the means to transport their amps and drums, so they would either use the in-house or rented equipment, so what you see on stage should not be taken as an automatic endorsement.
19, 17 and 14 at the time Ale had one of their 2 spector 4 chords given by a fan playing after a 22 songs gig . for the owner birthday i think. You may see Ale is very exhausted
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this cover I play over and over. Dudes.... you have to check out the Liceo concert for 4 great covers they performed... it's amazing. Check out Pow-Pau on Everlong song, a beast!
Happy Birthday Sam!!! This cover is great, there is a fan-made video of clips from The Warning and Metallica edited together that is great. It gives you a better evaluation when you can hear both bands playing at the same time th-cam.com/video/BrJPgQFXKBM/w-d-xo.html
After doing a full set, the Owner came up to them and asked would they please do Atlas Rise for him? They were pretty tired at that point. Happy Birthday, Sam.
@@Divedown_25 I respectfully disagree. What difference does it make. It was at the end of their full set. You can see Ale was exhausted, but she was a trooper and played it well.
@@larrybutler8948i might be wrong but I was there and have this song taped on my own phone and Dany shouts at the beginning of the song “This one is for you Steve”. And as Steve was the organizer for this private Kickstarter concert I thought it was for him. Another person told me that he had asked if they could do the song, but again I might be wrong
@@larrybutler8948 It's becoming part of their myth. We have a responsibility to be as accurate as we can manage, because $#/! spirals out of control. It was definitely performed at the end of the show. The facts are amazing enough without needing to embellish 🤘😎👍
@@jonassaldana444 I have to disagree with these guys that this is an improvement over the Cave performance. It's almost identical note for note. In fact Pau's double kick gets washed out in this recording. Course it's better because it's live but sonically i like the Cave better. Primarily to hear Pau's kick. I hate to critique TW but they made the tiniest timing mistake (which is rare) in the Whisky version where they jump back in after the complete silence break. They hit it dead on in the Cave performance.
I think a difference between the warning cave version vs the whisky is Ale is Bigger and she now has a full size Bass and not just any bass but a Spector

Maybe exhausted but Ale still kicks ass!
One funny note - Ale is still too young to get a drink at the Whiskey! Happy Birthday Sam!
Heh! For a couple more years, even! That's what happens when you become a pro bassist at age 9.
I always think about wandering into a bar and seeing this performance not knowing them. That would be awesome!
Happy Birthday Sam. Thanks for spending your day sitting down to see a The Warning performance with us, and for your insights.
that doubler effect is actually the God of Hard Rock taking notice and joining in.
Have to keep telling myself, they were just teenagers. Wow, what a performance.
Ale was what, seventh grade? Light years beyond what I was at that age.
Ale is still.a teen 19yr until December 13!

Just wondering Chris. How many time are you going to *"PAUSE"* the video during Dany's guitar solo??
Once??
Twice??
Trio??

.
The answer is once during a pre-solo. But within the meat of Day's solo.
