Qhat kills me is that Alejandra is playing this fairly complex bass lines with the same aparent effort as if she was in her bed watching a netflix program at sunday. She makes everything look easy.
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was Feeling it (Pau's favorite breakup song), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!! Ican only hope that they do Ironic cover also 🤞... And after I saw this cover, I bought Alanis Morissette's album LP "Jagged Little Pill" at the same day. ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
Original was Alanis Morissette, Dave Navarro, Flea, Matt Laug but touring drummer was Taylor Hawkins. Yes, DPA made it look easy, like everything the do. Perfection.
Glad to see you back on The Warning. You should check out their performance of Automatic Sun at the 2024 MTV EMAs for its stage production (though you may have to mask the video for copyright). 👍😎
They were all awesome, as usual, lol. Ale just making that bassline look easy.🤘🤘. Also, Taylor Hawkins played drums on the Jagged Little Pill album tour, which makes this kind of a full circle moment as The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor passed away.
Their magic simply transcends the imagination ... there's nothing they do that isn't leveled-up to amazing grace. Heed 'The Warning'!! "The Best Hard Rock Power Trio of the 21st Century."🦉🤟⚡🍩👍⚠⚡💥
It has been said that Flea never got the timing right after many takes and it was necessary to correct it by software. Ale got it right live the first time.
Thanks for reacting to this one. Nicely done! The thing that stands out to me about it is that it's so different from what TW normally does - shows their versatility and comfort level with different kinds of music - while still adding bits of their own style as you mentioned. Have watched it a bunch of times now and love it.
If you want a great Warning adjacent video to react to. On their Canadian tour this year, Dany played guitar with Halestorm for the song Familiar Taste of Poison. It was Quebec on Oct 26th 2024. Not only does she play most of the song, she also does a guitar solo. Well worth the look.
No podia ser de otra manera que este cover resultara excelente si lo hace una gran banda como es The Warning. Estas chicas son tan pulidas en cada trabajo que hacen que solo puede resultar excelente. Bravo The Warning, great job DPA!!
The major flaw in this cover has nothing to do with TW's performance. SiriusXM must had bass. Every time they record a live session it sounds tinny. But thanks to Don-Music, there is a remix (posted to his channel) that has boosted bass and punchier drums without harming anything with the vocals and guitar.
You might as well just react to the entire list of Sirius songs. I spent a bit of time in Arcadia. My grandparents moved there from PA to retire, and I ended up living in Sarasota for a decade until they passed away, and then I moved back to PA.
Great reaction to a great cover. Dany's performance, utterly convincing as a furious wronged woman, took my attention so I didn't initially realise just how much Pau & Ale were contributing. Ale's fingers just seem to dance over the strings and Pau's transition from sticks to brush was flawless. As someone (Possibly TW themselves) said, "The cover version you didn't know you needed."
The story goes that the original backing for this song was terrible and Dave Navarro and Flea were brought in to improve it. They thought that the vocals were great but threw everything else out and messed around until they got something that they liked. They played it to Alanis and she liked it. I went back and listened to the original and the production is deliberately rough in that 90s way and the guitars are layered up in an ethereal way. The Warning’s version is much more precise and modern sounding. I like both versions. The Warning played the 2024 EMAs here in England recently. You should take a look at their performance of “Automatic Sun”. It’s great and has high production values.
Check out Automatic Sun from the MTV EMA award show. The Warning played it live and killed it!! (Just be careful with the video as MTV has been copyright claiming -- I've seen reactors overlay fancam footage over the official video.)
Hi guys - its been awhile. Cool watching Sam's grin, while Chris looks all studious :) After watching your Warning concert sets (Dakota, Lunario and Teatro) - I think you need to complete the set. Pepsi 2023 - the Unicorn of shows and their 10th Anniversary. Nuff said about what you should do next. Anyway cheers from Oz guys - keep it real 🦘
Ale is simply incredible. These women can do anything. It's a little simple for Pau, but...most of their covers are better than the originals. Perfection.
I love how they PG13ify the song. When I first saw that they did this cover I was like "Oh no...not our innocent little girls...You're grounded, young lady". But I stand corrected.
Maybe not better than Alanis (like I’ve heard from a few people) -- I mean, come on... Jagged Little Pill was a masterpiece of composition and execution -- but the sisters did it 100% justice! 🤘 Thx, C & S!
What did you think about the cleaned up lyric swaps for "make out with you in a theater" instead of "go down on you in a theater" & "Are you thinking of me when touch her" instead of "f-word her"? Also did you notice Dani flubbed one of the last lines by repeating "to remind me" instead "to deny me"? Nonetheless I still loved this is almost perfect rendition of a now classic song that lived rent free in my head during the mid 90s.
As far as I can recall, the lyrics are the same as the original radio version Alanis released in 1995. But most people are familiar with the album version.
@EdwardRLyons That blows my mind. I love the songs, have the album on cassette and CD, and even remember singing the song over and over again after a late night party, and saw her in concert, yet the radio edit clean version hold no place in my memory. Strange.
@@maximusaurelius9906 It holds no place in my memory either. And I can't find any mention of it with a web search. So maybe I'm wrong, although someone else also made a comment about a "clean" radio version too. Not that it really matters. If Dany decided to clean it up then that's fine with me. It's their version!
Pau uses a track for the 16th note brush hits on the snare, while also sweeping the snare with a single brush, both at the opening and again in the bridge. In the latter, especially, you can hear the brush 16th notes continuing when Pau drops the brush from her right hand and reverts to the stick. It's no different from how Dany uses additional guitar tracks to fill out the sound.
Qhat kills me is that Alejandra is playing this fairly complex bass lines with the same aparent effort as if she was in her bed watching a netflix program at sunday. She makes everything look easy.
Great job Dany singing and the great guitar work. Ale slayed great bass work. Pau chillin in the box great job!
These sisters are amazing! Ale is killing the bass. All these girls are magic.🤩
These Girls never fails!
These girls are something else. I ran out of adjectives to describe them months ago.

Ran out words to praise these young ladies a long time ago.
They own the covers they do.
Gran talento de estas tres hermosas muchachas !
They performed this live at a charity event in Florida the day before they performed at the Latin Grammys.
They performed it for a french TV show as well, it will air december 20th
Glad to see you back on The Warning. You should check out their performance of Automatic Sun at the 2024 MTV EMAs for its stage production (though you may have to mask the video for copyright). 👍😎
Making a cover yours while still paying respect to the original is a skill on its own!
That big cheesy grin from you whenever Dany hits the chorus says it all really :-D
Shes tapping the rim and a brush, then you see her grab the drumstick.. 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
No brush
They were all awesome, as usual, lol. Ale just making that bassline look easy.🤘🤘.
Also, Taylor Hawkins played drums on the Jagged Little Pill album tour, which makes this kind of a full circle moment as The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor passed away.
Flea and Dave Navarro also played on that album. That's why the bass line has a funk to it.
They did 6 songs at Sirius that day.
They did 6 of their own songs and this cover.
Their magic simply transcends the imagination ... there's nothing they do that isn't leveled-up to amazing grace.
Heed 'The Warning'!! "The Best Hard Rock Power Trio of the 21st Century."🦉🤟⚡🍩👍⚠⚡💥
Ale does Fleas part much cleaner than Flea. Ya gotta remember Ale was trained by possibly the finest Jazz bassist around
It has been said that Flea never got the timing right after many takes and it was necessary to correct it by software. Ale got it right live the first time.
@@sergioperez2594Alejandra, a young woman who looks like a model, is a genious bass player. I fear she will not get her due by the people at large.
Dany crushed it 🤘
I'm kinda sick of hearing about "not enough bass." Dany's the star here.
The minute I saw these Sirius videos I got a Robert Palmer 'Addicted to Love' video feel from Pau with the tight hair and shades.
I now realize the 'Addicted to Love' video girls weren't in shades. But Pau's hair still gave me that vibe.
I appreciate you uploading TW video in honor of your 10 million views. ❤😊

Absolutely awesome cover!!
Amazing Dany's vocals, Ale's bass lines and Pau's groovy drumming!
These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡

They spoil us with how good they are
Thank you. Ale channeling her inner Flea. Trinity with jazz brushes. Dany slaying dragons as usual. What's not to like.
Slayed it
A competência de Paulina é fora do normal.
In this cover is when we remember the roots of Ale and Pau with jazz teachers.
Baffle of Shame haha... nice. Thanks for the reaction!

I would like to see the full footage of Ale's Guitar Cam which we are offered only glinpses of.

Ale is simply incredible. These women can do anything. It's a little simple for Pau, but...most of their covers are better than the originals. Perfection.
Pau is channeling Addicted to Love
Her voice is reminiscent of Lizzy Hale's in some areas of the song, and that's not a bad thing. I'd like to hear them do a cover of something by Hole.
I actually like this version better than the original.
I love how they PG13ify the song. When I first saw that they did this cover I was like "Oh no...not our innocent little girls...You're grounded, young lady". But I stand corrected.
They had to keep it clean, because it was on SiriusXM.
How can you just imagine Pau using a backtrack for her drums part ? Repent !

Amazing part of this as a non-musician are Dany's vocals; damn close Alanis' vocals to my old ears.
