That's the best version IMO. They took the best parts of their studio version, condensed down other parts and ended up with the best final cover
3 girls, age 14, 16, and 18, playing in a bar in another country (US vice Mexico) in their second language. Wow. The owner asked them to cover Atlas Rise, so they ran through it a few times in rehearsal, and then closed their 2 hour show with this absolute Banger!

Two and a little more than a half, sometimes her age is 3 years older, from Dec until Feb it's only 2. The concert was in January I believe.
This was the encore, a favour for the Whiskey's owner, after already playing for 2 hours.
This was my first Warning show. What a night!
Other than the re-imagined "Enter Sandman" they play at almost every show, I believe this was the last "cover" they played in a live show. All original songs now.
Not only on Black List, they're track #1.
Yup, check it out. It IS NOT a straight cover. "Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara", as re-imagined by these three ladies, is the only "cover" on the whole album where the artists completely revamped the original. The OMV is outstanding as is the Teatro Metripolitan live version. You might do both in one review because they are that good and different.
You guys REALLY need to watch their version of Enter Sandman from the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert. It's most definitely not just a straight cover.
if they haven't watched their original cover of Enter Sandman I'd recommend they do all 3 version the 2014 cover then the video w/Alessia Cara and the live version from Tietro.

Like the others...Enter Sandman at Teatro. Almost cried when I heard it.
Their version of Enter Sandman for the Blacklist album is a collaboration with pop singer Alessia Cara, and is not a cover but a re-arrangement of the song. They have a music video to go along with the song so you can hear the studio version, and they play it live at the Teatro Metropolitan concert August 29, 2022. You have a choice or listen them both as a comparison.
They also posted a straight cover of ES 10 years ago when they were 9, 12, and 14. The bass player, Alejandra is the youngest, Paulina the drummer is the middle sister, and Daniela the guitarist is the oldest. That video has over 25M views.
You don't want to know how many times I watched this and it still sounds great. This was 5 years ago, they no longer do covers (except their own re imagined version of Enter Sandman) but their own work is phenomenal. 4th album is out June 28 and it's going to be a big deal, by the end of 2024 they'll be on a different level. They tour Europe and the UK in April and nearly every venue is sold out. Enjoy the ride.
1st) if you want re-imagined, stop talking (😂just funning) and just listen to their Enter Sandman (music video first, then Metropolitan theater)
2nd) they originally did this cover a couple years earlier for a video they sent to Metallica as a bid to open for them in Mexico City. (That video is on their channel also) While they didn’t get the gig they were scheduled to meet Metallica before the concert (Plans fell through)
3rd) Kirk Hammett commented on their original 2014 cover of Enter Sandman & brought it to the band. The exact quote was “the drummer kicks major ass”. I tend to paraphrase it’s as: “this 12 year old drummer is better than ours.” 🤣 (sorry Lars)
Their version of Enter Sandman for Metallica's Blacklist 30th anniversary is very good, I recommend you to see it played live at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in 2022.

Yep, they hadn't played this cover Live in 3 years. It was requested by the owner and not planned as the closer. Just a second encore after a 2 hour set.
If you want to hear them do a twist on Enter Sandman look up their studio recording/video with Alessia Cara for the Blacklist album. They changed it all around and made it their own.

If you guys are going to react to their version of Enter Sandman, do the Live version from the Teatro Metropolitan. No disrespect to Alissa Cara, but Dany’s vocals in the live version is killer.

It's not a fancy changed up cover because it's not something they were trying to do... If I remember correctly, they played this a favor to the owner of the Whiskey for his birthday or something after playing their normal 1.5-2 hour set. They hadn't played it in quite a while and did a quick rehearsal of it during soundcheck and pulled this off. Pretty spectacular and I love how fat and huge Dany's tone sounds when she starts playing the rhythm again after the first solo 3:06
You need to see the Enter Sandman Cover and specifically the one at the Metropolitan Theater, you are in for a surprise

Ooh you picked a really unusual one for typical Warning reactors. Obviously you're Metallica fans so it makes sense. It's underappreciated in The Warning oeuvre. Also, this was a request by the bar owner (or so I'm told) after a full double set (like 18 songs?). You can see how taxing it is for them at this point, which makes the live really much more interesting.
And yes, they do their version of Enter Sandman for the Black Album.
I have to push back a little (oh boy, here is a fan being defensive): @10:13 or so. They had this cover in the bag and the bar owner knew it and demanded it after they'd completed their contract. I think expecting them to have 'their own version' of it is kind of ridiculous in that circumstance. It's a very complex song and the fact Ale didn't pass out is a miracle. I too like adapted versions of things. When you check out Enter Sandman realize there are 3 versions: 1. When they were babies. 2. Sung almost exclusively by Allesia Cara, and 3. The modern version where Allesia Cara's voice is used for certain lines but Dany carries the song. Please do this last version as it is far superior to the others. You will get your demand, and then some.
This for what I understand was a private show for those who supported The Warning during their Kick Starter campaign for The Queen of the Murder Scene album.

Definitely do their Enter Sandman cover live from Teatro Metropolitan, you will hear a twist, for sure.
They were: Dany (guitar) 19, Pau (drums) 17 and Ale (bass) 14.
Edit: I'm just going by the date the video was posted but they could well be 18 Dany and 16 Pau at the time of the recording of the performance.

If you are open to hearing them put their own 'twist' on a iconic song, or like it when The Warning takes a song and 'makes it their own', then you pretty much HAVE to watch them play Enter Sandman live at Teatro Metropolitan.
For the Blacklist project they disassembled Sandman and reassembled it in their own style. It is fantastic, and the OMV is hauntingly beautiful.
The live performance just hits harder. Don't wait, just go ahead and watch it!

Enter Sandman in the Blacklist Album is a complete reimagine of that song, I think you'll like it, either the official video or the live version at Teatro Metropolitan. Also, The Warning just released an official live version of one of their new songs called "Hell You Call a Dream" that is a banger!... Cheers!
You need to listen to their re-imagined Enter Sandman that Metallica requested. They put their own twist on it as you wanted to see in this one. They collaborated with Canadian Singer Alessia Cara. Do the Video on it so you can also see Alessia.
You should definitely check out their reimagining of 'Enter Sandman' that they did for the Metallica Blacklist album. They completely made the song their own.
Also highly recommend 'Dust to Dust' and 'Queen of the Murder Scene' from their Teatro Met CDMX concert, and 'Evolve' from the MTV VMAs.

Guys, The Warning are phenomenal writers, composers, performers, and recording artists. Go listen to the entire 08/29/2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert (22 songs). It will blow you away. Listen to their new single, *Hell You Call a Dream,* Live at Pepsi Center. Listen to *Automatic Sun* (live video with studio audio). Metallica put their re-composition of *Enter Sandman* collaboration with Alessia Cara on *The Black List* album. But The Warning have around 60 original songs out, now, and they are releasing a brand new album on June 28. They're in Japan right now, for several shows with Band Maid, a Japanese rock band. That's in the middle of a world tour that includes dates all over Europe and Canada, the USA, and other places. This is a band on the cusp of greatness.

My understanding is that they played this as a birthday gift for the owner of the Whiskey A-Go-Go. They did a few practice takes, before. Otherwise, I don’t think they’ve played it, since. I agree with the “make it your own” philosophy, in general, but this wasn’t them trying to do a cover for an album or as a standard part of their set. It was a one-off. 😃

This Atlas rise cover they did at the end of a 1 1/2 hour set of their own stuff and only did it because the owner of the whiskey a go go requested that they do it because they really wanted to hear it and that's the only reason they even played that. They covered this song when they were much much younger than they are here in this video I mean they were literally, one of them, the bassist Alley, she wasn't even a teenager yet. Go to TH-cam and check out the warning Atlas rise Metallica cover from the warning basement and you'll see how young they did when they first did it and she still rips it and kicks it but that's the last cover they ever did they're not a cover group.

And also there's a video of the comparison of Metallica and the warning both doing Atlas rise the videos are compared side by side and then go back and forth and it shows them to be note for note with everything Metallica did it's a really well put together video you can see how legit it is. I can't remember what reactor it was I only saw a reactor reacting to that video I can't remember who he was but if you type into TH-cam Metallica and the warning comparison of Atlas rise it'll pop up in the drop list somewhere you'll see it you should check that out.

"Metallica should get this drummer ... to replace Lars." Ha ha. They'd get an additional songwriter and vocalist if they did. The thing that blows my mind is that none of them are even old enough to be in the bar. They kind of stopped doing covers by this point, but they did this one by request of the owner. Ale, the bassist, was visibly gassed during this song - it's quite a workout - but Dany and Pau are like energizer bunnies and just plow through. Not an easy song by any means.
The Warning played at the Whiskey three years in a row. 2018, 2019 & 2020. The second show in 2019 was a private show for a Kickstarter Campaign contributor for The Warning's studio time to record their second album *Queen of the Murder Scene.* This concert was first downloaded to their Patreon page. Months later was released to TH-cam. *Atlas Rise* was an encore song after an one hour & 50 minute set.

Doing a new twist on a song is appropriate when you’re going to RECORD a cover and make it part of your catalogue
