Thanks for the excellent quality/sharpness review. They are all excellent sharp binoculars but the Nikon seems to be the sharpest here, and the Celestron Uplose is a bit soft (cheaper optics, the Bak7, etc. I guess). That's no surprise as Nikon is a very good brand and you pay for a bit of extra quality/sharpness if you choose it over Celestron. Also good choice in terms of magnification. More than 15x is practically meaningless without a tripod. I'd even say going beyond 12x is not a very good idea unless a tripod is gonna be used. On a funny note, the Skymaster is actually an astronomical pair of binoculars but there's nothing wrong with using it for terrestrial purposes - just too bulky for that🙂By the way, the Celestron 15x70 will blow 50mm competitors out of the water when it comes low-light observations -- you can't cheat physics, 70mm is 70mm and it's an advantage for observing Deep Sky Objects or for terrestrial night observations over any pair of 50mm binoculars. I mean the 70mm is gonna deliver imaging twice as bright against 50mm binoculars at the same magnification just like 50mm will deliver twice as bright imaging versus 35mm binos. BTW, I grew to like Nikon systems. I got their cameras, lenses, and software which I prefer over LightRoom.

I have a pair of the Skymaster 15 x 70 and they are great. I would not sell mine for 5 times what I paid for it. I have a pair of 25 x 70 and they are ok. But like the 15 x 70 better. Thanks for the video.

I'm looking for binoculars for watching birds and maybe occasional stars. What would you say is the best choice in your opinion? Is 16x50 good magnification or it is better to go with 10x50 / 12x50?
I already have a small 8x22 binoculars and I would like to have something with bigger magnification, so I'm hesitating about 10x50, since it will be not that much different. I'm also thinking about something even bigger like 20x70 / 25x70, but not sure if it is worth it to go that big.
And also which brand. Nikon Aculon seems fine, but there are also cheaper options that seem good, so I'm a little bit torn.
Anyway, you have great videos. Short and informative. Thanks!

Which one should I buy 25*70, 15*70 or 20*80. All are from celestron. I am a beginner and will use it for star gazing at night

20x80 has a good combination with magnification and lens diameter. But be careful about the collimation of the binocular 🙏

@@Pracitcalscience Thx but I already ordered 10*50 celestron after doing some research. My reason for choosing that was larger field of view.

Basically, the higher we go in zoom, the more money we need to spend to get a good picture.
The Celestron is like 50 bucks
The Nikon (I guess it's an old Action Ex) is around 200 bucks
The Skymaster is about 100 bucks
So you can guess that the Nikon is going to give the best picture just based on price. It has much better optics in it and it's water/fog proof, which guarantees your picture doesn't get shit because of weather.
Generally, if one is looking for really good picture you can't expect to get it above it 10x zoom for less than 500 bucks
Even 300-400 dollar binos at 12x looks pretty bad. Let alone going above. Usually you get very bad sharpness & colors and terrible chromatic aberration. For general use and as budget option 10x is the most recommended. Even in this video at 5:15 we see that going 4 times higher in price buys very little in terms of image quality upgrade and 2x more zoom is not that substantial, considering how much FOV you loose.
Thanks for the vid btw :) It's great comparison

I have the Celestron Skymaster 15x70. Very good for night sky observing but Rubbers quality is poor and I noticed some fungus inside one of the objectives after 3 years. So not 100% happy
