Thank you all for the amazing comments on this video - its been hard to answer them all but I thank you all for watching and taking time to leave a comment :) If you like the longer form videos here is a link to all the longer videos I have on my channel: th-cam.com/play/PLhFhqvuwQ5xWZs2yZt5BGhWPQidlYKm43.html&si=fkjtPDdlJoFxpdW0 Thanks for watching Murray
Unbelievably beautiful mountain and you were SO lucky with the weather up the mountain for which The Ceilidh Place in Ullapool used to name a "Stack Polly" (a massive ice cream and fruit sundae). Great video. Assynt is beautiful. Canisp, Quinag, SP....
Murray, I just wanted to write and let you know that I think your film production and editing is superb. It's easily the best of all the TH-cam channels I watch.
Thank you for your brilliant outdoor channel showing Scotlands wonderful scenery, mountains, woods and wildlife. It was lovely seeing the Robin eating the food you kindly left it,I bet he appreciated that, especially in those cold temperatures.
Another outstanding video which shows, like you said yourself, the huge and spectacular variety of the Scottish landscape. Coigach and Assynt hold a special place in my heart, I know that I will be watching that mouthwatering drone footage of the sunrise from Stac Pollaidh again and again. Thank you for another year of superb videos Murray, and all the best for 2024!
Most of Scotland's landscapes have been heavily degraded and damaged ecology for decades unfortunately. We have some of the lowest biodiversity remaining in the world.
Watched this on the big screen, wow this is amazing…Murray you should be making a fortune doing this for tv your photography, time lapses, and videoing it’s just unbelievable and brilliant… thank you so much for sharing these adventures they bring so much happiness ❤
I've also started watching Murray's videos on the big TV. Seems a crime to watch them on a small phone screen. The sequence at 25:40 is just ridiculous!
We scattered my Dads ashes on Stac Pollaidh in 2018 he was climbing the range right up to his 70s he was 89 when he passed his explicit instructions were to have half his ashes scattered on the Stac and half on the Sgùrr of Eigg , his two favourite climbs in Scotland. Both are very special sites to me now and Ivisit regularly when I can get the time away from the day job.
great 2 see jerry again brilliant views beautiful cracking the one last week wee watched it twice it was amazing great your videos r amazing look forward for your videos next week 👍💋
Rarely was I ever warm in my tent, I always used to have a dram before kip. One weekend at a BMW meet the girlish contingent were leaving and one of the guys offered us a third bottle of Brandy and plain lemonade . That night with just one brandy and lemonade i had the best sleep ever - warm as toast and still sober.
I loved seeing Gerry again, the diamonds glinting on the snow, flying 360 around Murray (always special), and the vacuum-cleaning Robin Redbreast in your van. I loved everything, actually. Thank you so much.
This was fantastic, really enjoyed the longer format. The mountains and views were beautiful. Thank you for taking us along with you, as it’s not something I would ever be able to get to do. My dad also from Scotland enjoyed this as well, he is 90 🙂
I watch every video, with a sense of awe at how you manage to make us feel like we’re there with you. Never stop what you love, as we can feel it through your videos. Im Scottish (just down the road from you) but i live in Denmark now, so watching your videos makes me often homesick but also very proud of where i come from. Thank you.
The gatecrashing robin was waiting for your return. This adventure of yours, pitching your tent on the edge, in the snow with the starry night. It's what it's all about. Bloody dangerous though ?
Great video Murray. Some stunning scenery you captured.Love the timelapse & drone footage . The van must be a joy to have for these kind of trips. Thanks for sharing.
As you say my friend, stunning just stunning, Oh how I wish I could go hill climbing, so it means a lot that you share your wonderful adventures. Thank you so much again
Hi Murray Happy New Year 🎉 to you and your family. What a trip to end 2023 amazing drone footage and voice over commentary so informative, wishing you many more trips to our beautiful mountains. Thank you so much for all your hard work filming, editing your videos. ATB take care.
Absolutely loved it! I cant wait until I can visit your beautiful country one day. Although, I wouldnt bother changing shoes at crossings. Happy to wear wet feet in that instance. Love all your Vids, well done!!! 🙂
Hope you weren't out on Wed 27th, thought we were going to be stuck in fort william with all accommodation gone and trains cancelled, serious weather . A lovely citylink lass got us into Glasgow after it calmed down by 11.going through glencoe and Rannoch with the moonlight on the snowy mountains special
Wonderful video, Murray. I really enjoy these multi night adventures. I have to say your still photography is stunning - I'm still waiting for the book of landscape photography!
What a superb film of a great looking adventure. I loved the drone work on Stac Pollaidh. Amongst the fantastic views and filming is evidence of your love of the hills and the massive amount of experience you have in them. What a brilliant way for you to sign off 2023. I look forward to seeing what you have for us in 2024. Have a very Happy New Year.
Another spectacular video. Though I do sometimes feel queazy when I see you stood at the tops of some of the mountains. I am living my dream through you. Look after that robin, suspicion states that... Robins appear when a loved one is near. It means they are at peace.
Another wonderful epic video Murray, and thanks especially for showing me the views from the Drumochter hills 35 years after I did them in cloud and drizzle! I had better weather on "Stac Polly", but that was even longer ago. I definitely need to get back to Assynt, and the next time I do it I'll take a tent :) Nice finish at Glencoe!
Stac Pollaidh. The most beautiful mountain in the world, with the most stunning views. I last climbed this just before the Covid lockdowns, with my sons. Sadly, my eldest boy passed in September. I have a wonderful picture of him at the summit. I will cherish this super little mountain and its memories forever. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful place with us all again ❤
Hi Victoria - so sorry to hear of your loss. Stac Pollaidh is a wonderful mountain and always a pleasure to visit. Hope you get to visit at some point Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Three very different viewpoints. Ive not visited Assynt yet however everytime I see videos, I feel the need to make the effort - a 2024 must do... Im hoping to pitch up on one of your favourites in Glencoe tomorrow night.. weather looks perfect... Thank you as always for the mighty effort and for sharing Murray... 👍
Hi Jim - hope you had a good camp in Glen Coe - we were up in you local yesterday and it turned into a fine day and evening - hope you got home before the snow set in today :) I look forward to seeing your video :)
You need to strip down to show us exactly your layering system 😂. I'm kidding of course. Thanks for giving us one long video instead of 3 separate ones. Looking forward to seeing where you head next year🙂
Wow, way to make the most of a winter long weekend Murray. A thoroughly appropriate final video of 2023. Thanks for sharing all the magic of the Scottish hills this year.
What incredible weather you had for this trip. And what a great trip it was. Your drone footage really is great to watch. We are not sure how you are able to carry all that additional weight for putting these videos together but, from the comfort of our sitting room, we are pleased you do! You must have been exhausted by the time you got home. But hey, it was worth it though eh? We are hoping to travel into Scotland next year to do a little filming ourselves. Best wishes for 2024.
I was up in Assynt for the first time just when you were I think, frosty first day rain the next 2 days, didn't do any hills but enjoy just being out. Great video again, thanks again Mr Scotch Egg
Loving the wee adventure over different hills , loving the wee robin , cheeky thing 😍 Not been out in a while , and your vids are just screaming at me 😱 Did I miss it ? Didn't hear what whisky you had 😉
