You've described my feet. Chopped my A1C in half to 6.5. I can feel everything you've mentioned happening in my feet. I believe the nerves are trying to reconnect.
Several weeks post op 2 level disc replacement. Im noticing muscle tone returning that had been atrophied despite exercise before surgery. This video with the timelines gives even more hope

The effects now (after 7years)are all that you described but has stayed in my knee down to my ankle ??l sincerely thank you Doctor as now l can go back to the surgeon & talk about this with them. Many Thanks Again from diane london England 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
I'm 23 and had sharp nerve pain in May from my groin to my foot. It's not gone but it's become a dull tingle. Really makes you appreciate your health more
I'm sorry that you are only 23 and know this. Please take it seriously and consult a physician if possible. I went to see a hand doctor for one thing and ended up with surgery for something else. If the surgery hadn't been done, I would likely have lost feeling and possibly function in my arm.
Thank you beautiful person now I can sleep. Nerve under eyebrow was injured due to radio frequency microneedling my eye droopy sunken I can feel pain on eyebrow so it must be healing almost 2 months I pray
I have had nerve damage to my head and spine for 19 years after hitting my head on concrete, resulting in daily chronic pain and disability, life changing.
Just had a microdiscectomy performed 2 weeks ago after herniating a disk in the L2-L3 area. After 2 months of living in pain, burning and numbing sensation I pulled the trigger and opted for the surgery after trying 2 epidural shots; they provided no benefits for me. After listening to you I'm praying for that 3-6 week mark you pointed out. Again I'm 2 weeks into my recovery and I know that the nerve was irritated after the Dr went in and moved things around and cut out the fragments. Fingers crossed.
I had mine a week ago. Double laminectomy on l4/l5. Both legs were shot. My left leg is already coming back (which is funny since it was starting to go bad almost 2 years ago). The right leg was only 2 months ago and it was abrupt like I severed a nerve lol. My calves and glute. It is partially better. I started r-alpha lipoic acid yesterday. I stopped my gabapentin last night. My numbness in my feet is down 50% from yesterday even. Not sure if it is the r-alpha (I also took b1, b9, b12 with it) but I feel so much better as far as numbness. I have not had any pain during or after surgery other than when something hits the stitched area or I twist accidentally - that's to be expected lol. It's remarkable.
10 months after surgery, I have no back pain but I still have numbness in the top quad. Still hoping for the best and waiting til the 1 year mark. Hope you’re recovering well. I remember the first few weeks after, boy was that rough
Wow this was the most informative and so easy to understand thank you!! Sounds silly, but I kept mixing up the difference between nerves and veins....During Tennis, I had a calf muscle Injury 😢 and then the calf muscle tear started to heal. But, now a new pain emerged, it goes down my leg, and is a persistent sharp pain Causing numbing in the foot, and a slight limp... I can't figure out if it's sciatica or if it's a pinched nerve. I'm trying to make an appointment, it's already been 1 month.
Went to my prim care doc about my hand and arms tingling, numb, pain. 1st she prescribed prednisone to see if if would go away and then come back. I felt that was a total waist of time. It did go away for a very short time period and come back and the effects of prednisone are horrible for me. Then she recommended an MRI. But even with ins they quoted me $800. Could not do it, hence why I'm still suffering. And it's getting worse. I get almost no sleep because it's 10 times worse in bed at night. Any recommendations??

Ive been diagnosed with degenerative disc in my neck in 2018 my problem is my neurologist and spine surgeon can't agree with each other on surgery. In April i develop lower back pain my feet feel like they're burning and pin and needle ive got foot drop real bad i have little to no movement in both feet.. my neurologist is trying to get me surgery still nothing. Both my hands last three fingers felt like electric 24/7 for the past few weeks while i was waiting for Dr appointment. Last week the symptoms changed and now the electric has ceased and they feel like having rubbed sandpaper. The doc diagnosed as compression in the cervical neck but unable to tell me if getting better or getting worse. In your experience, does neck compression also cause my sides/flanks to have squeezing feeling? The Doc i saw just doesnt seem inspire confidence. All that happened was i fell asleep at my desk and woke up with these issues.
Thank you for your explanation of nerve function. I had a shoulder dislocation which went back in itself and took 3 months to get x-ray. I wonder whether this has caused my little finger sometimes to become numb

Hi Doc. Im from Mauritius 🇲🇺. My mum 82 old had deep vein thrombosis n limb schemia n had surgery. 6 months ago. She feels burning sensation n pain. Will it go plz? Any advice. Thank u. What I learned from you is that nerves try to find themselves, to connect within 3 to 9 months.
After one year of the S1 nerve root compression from a herniated disc, then a microdiscectomy to decompress the nerve root, how long should a person expect it take for the nerve burning in feet to subside?
Hi Dr Siga yegane I wonder if you can help me, after doing so much research, and spending a fortune on physio, chiropractor, podiatry etc, I'm finding that there is no progress in te last year r so. 2 years ago I fell from 20ft high and landed on concrete, fortunately feet first and ten on to y side where the biggest impact was the hip area, where I had a bruise as big as a football for a week, fortunately from te xray and scan it shows clear, no broken bones, or Spinal damage, but 2 years later I'm still stuck with what I think is nerve damage, as I was recovering early days I kept going over on my ankle, it was a weak point, and even today although the strength of muscles is much better, I have this uncomfortable tingling, numbness sensations in my toes, and ball of foot, it's uncomfortable when wearing shoes, tries, boots for work etc. And slight numbness on the prroneal area, and if I bend my toes I feel it pulls in gluteus area, I still go gym, ad play sports, but do you think I could ever get this nreve damage fully repaired to its original state or is it something I'm just going to have to adapt to, I've sort of lost hope with therapy now, takyou I would really appreciate your expert opinion on this, I don't mind paying, thank you
I got whiplash last 4 months ago, I been in my doctor, she took xray of my neck and lower back because I had sciatica and she give a medication for pain and b vitamins B12 keltican. Now I still have numbness but not open, but some times when I turn my neck while reversing car after 24hrs I feel numb on my toes. I also have paresthesia like crawling ants but not often.
If you take care of diabetes, than neuropathic pain that it caused will go away. Always treat the root cause first, then the symptoms. Opposite what they do in ER.
Can you help me what vitamins can heal my thoracic part doc, I was accident last February 19 2019 my thoracic part was totally damaged can you help me doctor please
Help please I am having nerve pain after getting dental implants and no one can figure out why ? I’ve had an mri to check for tn got and implant removed and still having the pain
I have a question I got dental implants in February and has some face numbness and now I’m getting like an electric shock in the implant area do u think it’s healing?
hi Dr Yeganeh Thank you very much for your great explanation. I got a sequestered L5-S1 disk herniation pinching on S1 nerve indicated by NRI about 6 weeks ago. it started with extreme pain in my right lower back area which I had to lay down to tolerate. After a week I got numbness in my right foot thigh and calf all the way to my little toe and right side of my foot and then progressed to the ankle along with weakness where I could not stand on my ball of foot. three weeks ago I had epidural injection which improved my pain and now I can tolerate much better walking and standing. however, my numbness and weakness has not improved. I have had numbness in my right thigh as well which I realized about 10 days ago (it could have been there longer without my notice). I wanted to know if improvement on pain and more mobility is a good sign that my numbness and weakness may improve over time and I should wait longer before deciding to do microdisectomy. I am thinking to wait for another 2 to 3 weeks to see if numbness and weakness is improving otherwise considering the surgery to avoid permanent nerve damage. thank you very much
I recently had neck surgery to remove a tumour out of the lymph node it looks like I’ve had a sensor in your cut I’ve lost my upper pack and shoulder function including the ability to push and lift by about 50% is it possible for a surgeon to go in and repair that sensory nerve so that I can get back to normal shoulder function
@@misterzerogaming5126I have nerve damage from steroid shots I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy two months ago. I had steroids in April and got side effects 4 days later. Certain medications can cause neuropathy even chemo therapy can cause it.
I have a mental nerve damage during wisdom teeth extraction. My left chin & lip is not responding for more than 1 month. How much time it can take for full healing..?
Hi Dr, Thank you for your excellent explanation! After the nerve injury ( cutting off my median nerve on the base of my thumb) How long the neuroma can be formed? Thanks again Dr.
It can take as little as a few days for a neuroma to begin to form depending on the type of injury and location of the wound. They are also most common on the feet and hands and tend to form fastest there.
@@Oryzaki0 Thank you for your response. I had a surgery (nerve graft)5 months ago and I had no pain on my thumb but it is very sensitive and I have electric shock ⚡️ when my thumb (nerve graft) is contact with anything. It’s horrible feeling. Is it normal?? Thank you!
@@rocioguarniz5186 At 5 months the healing process is far from finished and sensitivity should be expected. Once you are closer to the 1-2 year mark if it is still sensitive that would not be considered an optimal outcome but could be due to a variety of factors like your body rejecting the graph, a graph failure, your body simply not regenerating the nerve in the expected fashion etc. The fact you have no pain is strange as that is the first sensation that should return. Either you're lucky or it could denote a failed graph if you do not regain any other forms of sensation to that part of your thumb by that same 1-2 year mark.
@@Oryzaki0 Thanks a lot for your response and explanation of the situation! What I heard is that there are two types of nerves graft one is a membrane covering the nerve graft and the second one is with out the membrane. The one I had was the second one NO membrane. Can be the reason why I have the electric Shots when my thumb is contact With anything ? Thank you so much Doctor!

Yes, this is why I am living with mine. There is no pain, just discomfort and a small bulge which does not hurt if pushed. I like making noises with it... You said you had surgery twice. Second time open surgery. What did they do the first time? Don't they use mesh material to prevent same thing from happening?

My nerves are currently compressed from a spinal tumor im having removed soon in surgery , my feet and heels have total weakness right now cannot lift them or walk properly or run or jump, do you think after the procedure I will regain strength back/ my nerves will repair themselves ?

I got a tooth extraction that’s causing me pain real bad 4 weeks later. Tons and tons of testing and imaging. Nothing is showing.
Hey Dr, can carpal tunnel heal its self
Excuse me for my ignorance, but I'm wondering does this include neuropathy nerve pain due to being diabetic? Thanks
If you take care of diabetes, than neuropathic pain that it caused will go away. Always treat the root cause first, then the symptoms. Opposite what they do in ER.
How is it now?
What type of specialist deal with nerves ?

We need help from someone like you. We've really struggled to get help for this from our doctors..
hi Dr Yeganeh
Thank you very much for your great explanation.

Numbness and pain right away in my one foot and leg. All 3 doctors deny steroids did this to me. Of course they deny it. Awful. Certain medications can cause neuropathy even chemo therapy can cause it.

Hi Dr,
Thank you for your excellent explanation!
After the nerve injury ( cutting off my median nerve on the base of my thumb)
How long the neuroma can be formed?

Sir I have a question. Do Lumbar 1 Connects to Arms?
I just had inguinal hernia repair. Second time in the same place. Open surgery this time. Nerves were cut and it's shit. If I had known it would be like this, down there I told not have had the surgery but continued to put up with the mild pain of the hernia..
This is crap..
Yes, this is why I am living with mine. There is no pain, just discomfort and a small bulge which does not hurt if pushed. I like making noises with it...
You said you had surgery twice. Second time open surgery. What did they do the first time?
Don't they use mesh material to prevent same thing from happening?
I had mesh the first time which came off after three years .. the first time was Laparoscopic Ava they said they can't do that again. It's shit
Thanks man. I hope you feel better. Getting old sucks. It is not for everyone... @@herbertvonsauerkrautunterh2513

My nerves are currently compressed from a spinal tumor im having removed soon in surgery , my feet and heels have total weakness right now cannot lift them or walk properly or run or jump, do you think after the procedure I will regain strength back/ my nerves will repair themselves ?

May I have your thoughts? My wife is 4 months post knee replacement. The bottom of her foot feels like there is duct tape stuck on it. Hurts somewhat to walk on it. Is depressed she may never walk normally again. Anything she can do?
Hello doctor, my sister has a wobbly right foot from giving birth to overweight baby. She still has some numbness and not in proper control of her movement so she limps. She feels intermittent pain in the affected leg. Do you think physiotherapy sessions will fix the problem?
I got a tooth extraction that’s causing me pain real bad 4 weeks later. Tons and tons of testing and imaging. Nothing is showing.
My pain is is simply a punching full ache in the gum near the extraction. I don’t have tingling or numbness. Can my pain still be a nerve issue?
These drs are wanting me to be on crazy meds but my gut is saying this isn’t nerve. :(
My mom fell 5 weeks ago and is now in rehab but they never assessed the hand just her shoulder. She definitely has nerve damage but cannot get into her daughter for 2 more weeks this will be 7-8 weeks post injury /fall. I am concerned it has been a long time. She needs a CT or MRI correct?
