My thoughts on the floor mats “issues” is… Meh. If Tesla did include floor mats, everyone and their uncle would be complaining about them (ugly, cheap, not weatherproof, yadda yadda yadda…). And then what would they do? Go out and buy the floor mats they wanted. Personally I cannot stand the look of those rubberized all weather floor mats. Ugly. But I know many like them. Fine. Whatever. But the nice thing about the SR+ (which I have) is you get to have whatever floor mats you want! I think that’s a plus, not a negative.
I have an SR+ 2020 model 3 and do a 550-mile road trip one way a few times a year. I would save about 15 minutes in charging if I had gotten the LR. in my opinion unless you need the range in your daily commute or take long trips constantly then the SR+ is enough for everyone. If you want the range go for it, but odds are you don't need it.
What is the real life range of the M3 Standard Range? I have a MY Performance and I always get 40-60 miles less than the "estimated range"

What I love first and foremost about these EV videos is the unscripted dialogue--pure and natural commentary. Second, your love of nature and commenting on the on-going effects of global warming. Don't Stop. AND, Thank you!

I don't like the fact that a $40K car doesn't come with premium audio like the LR version. That version you get all the speakers connected and get the subwoofer.
It is true that the M3 Standard Range takes significantly longer to supercharge than the other trims?

Hey! I’m about to order my first model 3. Is the performance really needed? Now I know that’s an open ended question full of personal opinion. Now I’m using this as a dad car, and coming from a Silverado 2500 (yes I’m going completely opposite end of the spectrum) but being this is a daily driver in south Florida where is bumper to bumper stop and go traffic, I feel the base single motor will be more then enough. I’m not going to the track or lining up at a red light looking to blow the doors off the lowered Honda civic to embarrass him in front of his first girlfriend. So being real, what are your thoughts. Is the $11,000 extra worth it for someone like me? Will I be impressed with the single motor just changing to a Tesla? Love your content and even my wife finds you funny! So not all wives roll their eyes!

6 months in im at 10k miles and have about half my tread life left. Just got tire rotation, didn't think they would last long enough to need one going by the impressions of others, glad they were wrong. Im not a slow driver either but do tend to accelerate hard more from 20+mph than from a dead stop.

I took my SRY on a 4500 mile road trip. You wait a little compared to my 3, and need to leave 10 minutes before the car tells you because it's WAAAAY to cautious, but we weren't bothered by it.
Sold it when my MYP came in (made $5k).
Big battery much better for traveling with bikes.

That was a Tesla "Urban" charger with 72 kw MAX, not a Tesla Supercharger with 118 kw to 250 kw for version lll.
I wish you would have went to a 150+ kw Supercharger to see what the max rate the LFP batteries could take!

So it's great that you have gazillions of chargers in the area but you could have mentioned the efficiency of this model, it is one of the most efficient EVs out there even though it's mid size and fast! What efficiency did you get?

Progressive Insurance is the best...at least for me. I had a 2019 Mazda CX-5 and my rate only went up by $24/mo for a car worth double and at the same coverages.

Hey man how is the audio quality in the SR+? I am almost reasy to pull the trigger for SR but just little worries about bass system in the SR. Is it still really good ?
Hey there, owner of the SR+ here. I was initially worried about the bass in the car being a SR+ model but in my opinion, there is plenty of bass and the sound quality is great. I did find the LR MY to have much stronger bass though. If you need a super punchy bass, id say get the full premium model but if you are like me and just want something that is balanced, the SR+ is plenty good. (The bass in the side speakers are actually impressive)
@@andrewshields1111 i did a test drive last week and they only had a LR Model 3 and the sound blew me away . The SA there said SR sounds anazing as well and you validated that as well. I am going for the SR+ . Thank you again.

BTW, we drive a Tesla S 100d! AND, love it! We are seriously thinking about the 2022 Model Y.
I wish Tesla would make the trunk opening level set to your driver profile. That way if two people use the car and one is much shorter, it is easier for the shorter person while not causing the taller one hit one's head.

My auto insurance went down $60/6 months after I bought Model Y from 2016 Lexus NX200 with Costco’s Midvale Insurance, a division of AFLAC. Tesla’s are such safe cars, liability wise, premiums should go down, not up
Fast fact: My ICE vehicle loses about 40% of its efficiency during the cold winter months. And during my 5 mile work commute, the car is finally fully warmed up right when I get to work. Driving an EV and having instant heat is a very nice benefit. I look forward to dumping my ICE vehicles.
