Well in my opinion when housing adult cichlids. . . You should always utilize some type of substrate because most adult cichlids like to dig up the substrate. . . Which gives them something do, and relieve stress as well as it holds beneficial bacteria that helps keep your water clear. . . I find using tanks with no gravel is best for raising fry which makes it better to keep count of how many you have. . . Plus the fry are easy to find and see when cleaning the bottom of your aquarium. . . I hope this answers your question, and happy fish keeping ! ! !
When I'm keeping Cichlids I always like having some kind of substrate in the tank. But I see a lot of people these days keeping adult fish in tanks without substrate. It just seems like the fish would get bored. Plus most if not all Cichlids like to move their substrate around the tank on a regular basis.
What sup skip how's it going great video I have been learning a lot from watching your video would love to purchase a nice pair of grimaces when will some be available
Sup Skip, I have been very interested in getting a trimac. I see flowerhorn here and there but one of these is what I really want. Will you have any available any time soon?
Trimac cichlids are common in the fish trade. . . Just check online. . . I'm sure you will find a distributor that sell them. . . Thanks for watching and happy fish keeping ! ! !
To start a 3 inch fish alone in a 90 gallon tank is the stupidest thing I’ve Hurd. They are called grow out tanks. I understand that they need a large tank by fully grown. Mines happy as fuck in a community cichlid 132 gallon

Indeed I do sell the babies occasionally, but I don't have time to ship fish due to my work schedule!!!
