- For stop 4 of the Hobby Shop Tour, we're checking out RC 101 and Gifts in Depoe Bay, Oregon. Right on scenic coastal Highway 101, this family run business has many of their remote control models unboxed so you can get a hands-on experience before you buy. I also ran into their staff member John who I've met at Proline by the Fire and Axialfest (small world!!). They can also give you directions to some great local crawl spots to check out not far from the shop. Definitely worth the beautiful drive to check out their very large and diverse RC selection. Come tour it with me!

Really badass little shop I love that they have everything on display that's a huge seller for me is being able to look and touch at everything the brand variety is also a huge selling point as well there's so many good cars from different companies nowadays

Been going there since they opened. Super nice people and a great store to look around and find treasures.
I went there a couple of weeks ago visiting from Canada and the crew was awesome, very helpful and friendly. Got a chance to show them my TRX4M with the Area 51 body which they hadn't seen before in person.

Was almost gonna buy some sticky tires but they had a ridge runner on the floor articulating. Put the tires Back and brought it home. Friendly and helpful staff.

Your hobby shop tour is cool, I heard him mention/ show GearHead rc wheels, I’ve got 4 sets now and they are the easiest to mount tires on that I’ve found, they are a little expensive but look amazing

Just saw on your webpage that you are a Marine Biologist. As an PA and Environmental Microbiologist that was raised by two incredible women (my mother and grandmother) I always get a huge smile whenever I see or read about "STEM women" who are doing cool things outside of their 9-5 jobs. Your content not only helps to obliterate the "boring science nerd" stereotype, but it also serves to inspire the young women, and men, who in 20-30 years will be taking care us and our planet!
I am enjoying your videos on differant shops but may I suggest you show some other stuff besides the 4x4's. I do RC boats And Tanks and the ocassional plane which I saw some of in the background.

Yeah kinda cool hwy 101 traverses two state coasts! You'll have to call the shop and see if they can ship you one

I never owned a rc. I was wondering, how come the remotes aren't square anymore? Like what Doc had in the movie Back to the future for the DeLorean?
The newer remotes are like holding a gun with a trigger, it's comfortable and easier than holding a box. Some people can do it all with one hand and steer with a thumb on the wheel (not me).

Love your vids. Unfortunately that dudes comments about the traxxas rc were false and every1 knows it by now. That car will need mods and at least 2 upgrades to hit 60mph. More garbage claims from traxxas. Sorry not sorry
This is a wonderful series you're doing. If not for a small bicycle/RC shop near me I never would have entered this hobby 4 years ago.
