@johndee277 FIA agents are stubborn, Alex doesn't listen, Reed won't stand aside, So Mi would rather die than go back to Myers. I like Reed and Alex, enough to regret either one dying, but nowhere near enough to justify handing Rosalind Myers a living WMD she can abuse.
@@thefracturedbutwhole5475 Agreed there completely. The Cynosure ending is my ending of choice. Maybe its more accurate to say Alex ia thw closest I come to a regret. She did pick her fate, I did try to warn.
They really fucking nailed the music in this game, from the hectic music as you run through the stadium after helping Songbird/reed to finding So Mi in the Cynosure core.
In a way, I think him saying that V was a miserable excuse for an FIA agent is actually a roundabout compliment. Because in this ending, I think he realises how callous Myers is, what she did and how far she pushed Songbird until So Mi genuinely thought death was a better alternative than going back to Myers as a prisoner. And that while V did the wrong thing as an FIA agent, V still spared Songbird from a far worse fate that she would have been given had V followed the orders given. He even seems to lose faith in the FIA to the point of considering going rogue, and his admittance that V was right does seem to support the notion that he no longer sees the agency as the be all and end all when it comes to choosing what to do.
00:04:57 When Vi tell him to leave the FIA, Reed says "do the same as Morgan Blackhand", which means that Morgan Blackhand was at some point working for NUSA, Militech, ...and yes, we know about the bomb, but his rebuttal implies that Morgan Blackhand survived, and then left the FIA/Militech/NUSA.
The bomb at Arasaka tower wasn't Johnny's operation, he was a back up/distraction, it was Morgan Blackhand's op for Militech. The engram of Johnny Silverhand on the relic has had their memories and personality altered, to be less volitile/more controllable and more skilled in combat (by making him think he played Blackhand's part in the mission) as part of Yorinobu's plan to use Johnny's engram to help cripple Arasaka.

A dude that has become fat and sad even somewhat begging for V to stay at Langley and work for the FIA behind a desk so he doesnt feel lonely. If you want to have the best ending for Reed then this one is the go-to.
After all the ending-conversations with Myers, Reed, Alex and So Mi, I think the best ending is to screw over Myers, headshot Reed, get Alex retired and send So Mi to moon. Especially the dialogue of Reed in this ending... who does he think handled MaxTec?!
Nah, fuck Songbird, she's manipulative and doesn't care at all about V. Sending her off to moon is what I call "Simp ending". She literally fucks you over not once, not twice, not even three times, but four times at the very least, and you still do her bidding. I'd rather give her off to Reed, but that ending still sucks because you give him and Myers what they want. In my opinion, this is the best ending. You don't let Songbird manipulate you, you screw over Myers and you allow Reed to see beyond FIA. Alex dies, yes, that is the worst part about it, but it was the only ending where I really felt like I did everything right and had a clear conscience. Reed isn't a fool. Reed knows full good and well none of this can be laid at V's feet, this is a culmination of foolishness on the parts of Myers, Songbird, the NUSA, and Reed himself. The NUSA for tampering beyond the blackwall, and Reed for not letting go of the past. V did what they always do, and saw the mission through to completion in a situation they did not engineer. Everyone is willing to point the finger at someone else, completely denying their own culpability. Reed, at least, does acknowledge this, in a roundabout way.
The perfunctory dialogue of CDPR is exhausting. Like it constantly beats around the bush and when you do get answers, they are half baked or bleak. This is the one part of the game that’s overdone. V doesn’t get a straight answer here on what he did right and then Reed tells him he’s no Morgan Blackhand even though V is more capable as a merc than all FIA agents stacked together.
That is Reed's character though. Unwavering loyalty to the cause, willing to sacrifice everything for it, truly believing in the greater good he fights for. To have a third option would feel too much like a cop-out. It wouldn't be Reed. He parallels Goro in a lot of ways, with Goro's loyalty being to Saburo, the man who, in his eyes, lifted him from a life of miserable poverty.
Too bad there aint no other secret ending where reed helps V raid arasaka to get into mikoshi. Even though it be similar to rogue, it still be badass of reed to redeem himself into helping V. Maybe he gets killed by smasher along the way.
V was right to kill So Mi. Reed's just butt hurt cuz he couldn't do it himself. At the same time, he's a hypocrite because he expected V to treat people around him like Slider or the twins from Cynosure as pawns. If Reed really cared about So Mi, he wouldn't have given her back to the FIA. I saw the flash backs with So Mi. Reed knows it first hand. Too cowardly or too blinded to disobey the FIA. At least he admits V was right.
Fucking tired of every character lookin down on V and you can't even talk back with strength or intelligence checks, makes progressing so annoying if nobody even acknowledges it

Regretted to have sided with him reloaded a save before Firestarter. Sided with SoMi and dropped his ass at the airport. Johnny is right you cant be loyal to a government but at the same time pretend to care for someone if you clearly recruited her to fck up her life or hand her over to Netwatch. Reed is a joke.
the amount of hurt teenage egoes in the comments is astounding. for once, a game gives a character a reality check and the manbabies behind him lose their sh*t immediately
You know what? I wonder if it's possible to kill Reed during the standoff and then kill So Mi too. Like turn around and then shoot her in the head too. No further danger to be had with the blackwall, and the NUSA basically fails miserably. I'll need to do another playthrough.

Fucking tired of every character lookin down on V and you can't even talk back with strength or intelligence checks, makes progressing so annoying if nobody even acknowledges it
is this ending where so mi lives or not. I dont get why reed is so upset if he sided with him. In songbird route he after my operation were much more friendly.
So Mi did not live here but was returned to the NUSA.
OH LOOK! a streamer who's actually play male V!
Hes lost in the corpo shit. Should just drop off like silverhand. Poor bastard. Could have been a nice choom to v. Maybe in another universe tho. Just saying.
So in this line, is there a chance that he doesn't go back to the FIA? Or he returns no matter what you say?
watch the new end credits with Reed, he isn't with the FIA anymore
@@ruhyah2689 thank you!
Damn and after that Reed still gets the desk job in new ending (if i'm not wrong)
You’re not wrong at all
Not in this ending. He gets the desk job if you hand over Songbird. This is from the ending where you killed her in Cynosyre
its sad too see people who are big and tall and looks like a giga chad like reed but literally weak af. there many people like that in real life. outside looks intimidating but actually trash.
"You're no Morgan Blackhand"
Say that to the woman/man, who could beat up smasher just by staring at him while making em burned up, get rebooted by the optics, malfunctioned his gun or causing his sorry ass to fry up. Netrunner mains be like.
Say that to the woman/man who so much faster than Adam Smasher that she/he can land like 20+ katana blows on him and kill him before he even fires a single bullet.
He really has the guts. Dude lives in a fantasy world which he created where can protect his friends and in the same time be loyal to a organization that is known for fckin up a lot of lifes.
At first I liked him hell I even believed that he hated Myers.
Dude is really good at lying and deceiving you. Though I would have never guessed that he is such a coward.
Reed underestimates V whereas So Mi bets everything she has on them, clearly one is more deserving of Vs efforts and its not Reed
the amount of hurt teenage egoes in the comments is astounding. for once, a game gives a character a reality check and the manbabies behind him lose their sh*t immediately
You know what? I wonder if it's possible to kill Reed during the standoff and then kill So Mi too. Like turn around and then shoot her in the head too. No further danger to be had with the blackwall, and the NUSA basically fails miserably. I'll need to do another playthrough.
“you’re no morgan blackhand”
yeah, she’s better
Correction: "he's better"
@@armoredpCorrection: they’re better.
@@armoredp congratulations, you win the sexist title

"maybe even as a friend" lol lmao since when you two were friends, since you gave her an offer she couldn't refuse? damn bootlickers never change
