Back when I worked at a sporting goods store we would demonstrate the difference between a sensitive rod and a less sensitive rod by having the customer hold the tip of the rod against our throats. A good rod would transmit the vibrations from our voice box to the handle, the less sensitive rod not so much. Sold a lot of the "newer" graphite rods that way when I started in the early 1980s. Well done.

You get an A++ on this video!!!👍🏻This was the best explanation of rods that I have ever seen!!!👊🏻 I was about ready to retire a couple of my spinning rods that had an extra fast action, but you saved the day & pocketbook!!! lol So the extra fast is more for the single hook baits where medium for treble. I learned a lot about rods and information i have never heard before especially about materials. Yes to reel info video. Going to a store after determining the power and action you want for a specific type of fishing, how to you choose which rod? How they feel in your hand seems inadequate since it doesn’t have a reel on it. Some of my recent rod purchases I’m disappointed in them, they seem stiff and insensitive. I used one rod only for decades. Thanks for great content.
