What bait would you like to see a how to video on next?
Frog and Whopper Plopper ! Thanks \O/
Im going to say topwater with trebles, im hoping its a good way for my 5yr old to learn how/what shes making the bait do
Jerkbait, since it's the season
Whopper Plopper/ Hollow Body Frog
Different types of jigs and trailers for fishing hydrilla
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
My way to fish a weighted fluke is to use a crimp style weight (like the ones we used as kids fishing for bluegills) and crimp the weight onto the hook. You can control how the bait falls by the placement of the weight, forward nose first, middle balanced, and rear tail first.
That’s a good idea!
@@nathanquincefishing7122 Another thing that I do is keep all my fluke style baits in a large freezer zip lock bag and spray some sent in to it, my favorite is Berkley Powerbait gel, and after sealing the zip lock bag use your hands to mix everything up. Be warned, the Berkley Powerbait is very slippery and will test your patients and language trying to texas rig it..lol
Holy crap I love that idea
Been doing that for years. Nose goes down first and more erratic movement in my opinion.
Very good video
Love to see more fluke rigs. Thanks Nate!
Thank you will do!
Love your content and delivery. Keep it up! Just discovered your channel. Enjoying it more and more. Thanks Nathan
Thank You I appreciate it!
Love fishing flukes! My go-to color is “baitfish”. Sometimes I use a double fluke rig with a weighted hook on the bottom and weightless on top. Fun stuff.
Nice!
I just got mine yesterday I can’t wait to try it
Thanks for the tips!
No problem!
Awesome advice. Thanks Nathan. Love the channel man. 💪
Thanks!
Great tip! Thanks for the videos
No problem! Good luck!
I live in South Africa and also love the fluke. Your advice is spoton! Thank you. Looking forward to more videos from your channel.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Neat. Do you fish lakes or rivers mostly. Also what type of fish do you catch on flukes. And one more thing.. Do you call the rigs, Texas rigs.
@@fbiburneraccount I fish private farm ponds mostly and the fluke is often my go to bait. We call it a weightless texas rig.
Excellent video thanks 🐟
Excellent lure. I fish mostly shallow, weedy water. The Fluke kicks butt on Bass and Pickerel.
Great video! I like braid to leader on spinning. I've always felt flukes, like slug-gos, was a low percentage hookup bait, but with the no stretch braid I definitely find it improves those percentages. I try to use as long a leader as possible, but keeping the connection knot just outside of my reel spool, probably yields a 10-12 ft leader without it hanging too low on the outer side of the tip-top.
Thanks! I agree with that!
Nice job thanks for sharing these tips with us
No problem!
Used the Zoom today as you said and caught biggest Bass I have ever caught! Great video that is bud!
Awesome!
great input
I use this on a 4 or 5 wrom hook. Most of the time it is weightless. I do pop the top of the water if it is 3ft or less or in thick grass beds. Thanks for the tips.
No problem good luck!
I"m gonna come fish with you. I'm 47 years old, haven't wet a line in a while, miss doing it, and just learned a ton from this video. New fan!!
Thanks! Good luck!
Thanks for the tips.
Thank you!
I use my 3 ft 6 in ice runner 6 lb test number four hook just the regular minnow fluke I've pulled in some good sixes and sevens
thank you. I'm just learning to bass fish and I chose the fluke as my go to bait, but I've been rigging it wrong. thank you for this video.
No problem good luck!
There is no wrong way to rig a bait my guy. It’s all about giving them something new. You never know man, you could figure out something that no one has ever seen. Fastest growing sport in the world. 🙌🏽 👍🏽.
thanks for the info. thanks for giving your tackle hook up away, I'm always looking to save money fish more!
No problem!
I'm alot like you fluke is my go to bait 90% of the time the Junebug color is my favorite the watermelon red then white. Keep up the good videos man!!!
Thanks! I’ve never tried a Junebug fluke
Good Intel. Thanks
Thanks!
Great video-----What are your thoughts on using a small swivel to avoid twists?
Yeah Nathan,I also love the fluke! Caught my first 6 pounder on a white fluke and put jimmy’s chartreuse garlic dye on the tail and 💥 BAM,right when it hit the water. Thanks for the video
Cool! I'm waiting on chartreuse dye right now. :)
Nice! Congrats!
Matt Stephan suggested running a bobber stop up the hook from the point to keep the bait from sliding down the hook. I’ll be trying that to reduce my waste on these. Great tips here thanks!
Never seen it but I’ll check it out!
Very informative video in all details I enjoyed.
Thanks!
Bitters Baits are great and the bulk bags are amazing deals. I just ordered bulk bags of flukes, and 10" and 12" ribbon tail worms.
Nice comment for Bitter's... They have a very well stocked store. 👍
Yes they do!
Did not know that about bitters. I’ll be heading there this upcoming week to make a purchase for sure
Nice!
Love your content brother. I live in Massachusetts and your fishing 🎣 techniques are great 👍 for my area....
Thank you!
Great video. I’m going to try the fluke this spring after the ice is out here in Wisconsin.
Thanks good luck!

Great video! Thanks!
Thanks!
Dang, great video
Thank you, well done.
Thank you!
Thanks for the informative fluke video, Nathan. It was perhaps the best I've seen about this lure (that I have but don't use). I'll likely fish it more after your tips. What state are you from? Don
Thank you! Pennsylvania good luck!
@Nathan Quince Fishing, where are you located??? You mentioned Lake Hartwell is why I ask. I live in the Upstate of South Carolina not far from Lake Hartwell. I grew up going to Lake Greenwood and Lake Hartwell. Learned to water ski on Hartwell. Haven't fished it in a good while. Grew up mostly fishing small farm ponds. Mostly fish for trout in the creeks in the mountains nowadays.
Have you given thought to doing some fly fishing videos. Seems like I spend more time getting my fly untangled from trees and shrubs along the creek than I do fishing. There's nothing like landing one on a fly rod. It's like a different world when you venture into it.
Keep up the good job you're doing with your videos.
Thank you Nathan. 🇺🇸👍💯
I use in saltwater fishing in the back bay area
Went to Bitter's on my last fishing trip to FL and I love that place and their bait selection is amazing.
Awesome!
@@nathanquincefishing7122 and since you’re looking at this…. You are my favorite Fishing channel. Credibility you have and it can’t be faked.
Thanks for the great content and the details of the equipment and how to. I was in central Florida mid march and tried out Bitters. They work great. Topic idea: evaluating a new pond or small lake to determine where it fish and what methods to try.
Thank you I will add it to the list!
Give the strike king caffeine Shad a try it falls better than any other fluke on the market
Duuude good looking out on that bulk fluke deal! I didn't know you could buy them like that.
Absolutely!
Great tip using the screw lock as a hook keeper. Liked and subbed to support a fellow Youtubing Outdoorsman!
Thank you!
Ive had a lot of luck on the black and silver flake fluke this year. My go to is now that, white, and sexy shad. Usually fishing clear water small rivers. Almost always have one tied on.
All good colors!
I've used a fluke for years it is a fish catching bait ..they have 7eoinch to..bluff are a great place to fish to try it ppl water temp hits 62 better a throwing it..like your video parther
Appreciate it!
That is a great idea using the screw lock for the drop shot rig.
Have you ever tried a fluke on a Tokyo rig? I have been thinking about trying that. Thanks for the great video!
I’ve never tried it!
The weightless fluke should have a light swivel in the line about 12-18 inches above the hook, it helps with line twist . You can use different size swivels if you wish to do minor adjustments to the sink rate. Use dark swivels, because sometimes very small fish start hitting brass swivels .
Thanks my friend form Puerto Rico
Thank you!
Gonna have to try that nose hook rig
It works!
DAMN GOOD VIDEO!! LEARNED ALOT!! 👍🏼🎣
Thanks!
Cotton candy super fluke is the 💣!
Hey Nathan, thank you for your vidoes! Any suggestions on how to cast fluke on baitcaster? I’m using 15lb fluoro on abu garcia revo sx and I’m having trouble with backlashes due the light weight of the fluke. Thank you
It’s just all in adjusting the brakes correctly!
It works in Pre-spawn, Spawn, post-spawn, in the fall, when they school up.. Basically anytime.. or just give us when it doesn't work. Lol
Hands down one of the best baits to ever exist here's a tip I catch big redfish off the beach on Texas rigged flukes on a half ounce bullet sinker with a 4/0 wide gap hook. Work for everything
That’s awesome! Very effective bait!
A couple summers ago, wifey bought a pack of the bubble gum pink fluke. Just because she thought they were cute. I haven’t fished them. Now that I have an idea that they could be helpful in the prespawn, I’ll throw one and see what happens. Thanks 🤙🏻
Good luck!
I fish center hill twice a week and live 20 minutes away. You made it look WAY easier than it is there. I don’t have electronics though? Great job I wish it was that easy for me.
Just have to use the right technique under the right situation!
Thanks Nathan for the video....... Good tips. I'm from Orlando Florida I'm about 25 minutes from the Bitter's Bait and Tackle store, and I got the "JUNEBUG BLUE TAIL" bulk bag and just like you said is an "AMAZING DEAL" and a HUGE selection of different baits. It's been 18 yrs since the last time I used to fish, I just started fishing again about 3 months ago. Thanks again.
Nice! That’s an awesome color down there!
@@nathanquincefishing7122 Yes Sir ! I was there today and got 2 other packs. Really "GOOD DEAL". Keep up the good work and the VIDEOS coming. \O/
Great bait for inshore saltwater as well. I usually nose hook them
Never tried them in saltwater!
Snook love them too
Awesome video Bro, maybe next time show the right hook size and how to tie them on to the line! But totally enjoyed it with the live fishing test!!
Working on that!
New Sub Thanks for the Bitter tip!
Awesome! No problem!
I use keel weighted hooks when it’s windy out.
Hey, just found your site this morning, like what I see. Subbed. Can I ask what state you live in?
I live in Wisconsin so we have 4 distinct seasons to adjust to.
Pennsylvania!
One more key is I like using a loop knot instead of a palomar knot to give the fluke more action on the fall
Great information ++
Thanks!
Learning.
"The End" hahaha!! Lol.
Great video....Two questions: 1) Do you recommend a leader on a swivel for line twists ?...2) What knot do you recommend to avoid bait action problems?
I just use an Alberto knot no swivel
I quit using EWG hooks. Lost too many fish, mainly big fish. Using an Owner 4/0 screw lock hook and hardly ever lose any more fish. And when fish are more bottom oriented Owner makes a weighted hook also. Caught a lot of fish on the weighted version and big fish to boot! Love using watermelon red color in my neck of the woods. I watched the act in a swimming pool and the darting action was awesome!
It's all dead sticking in Texas. Make a cast bairly twist and let sink to the bottom. Stand there for 60 seconds or longer. Then make another cast. This works well on heavy pressured lakes.
"That's how you fish a fluke...THEE end" 😄😄 Thanks for the advice. Enjoyed the video 👍👍
Thanks! Good luck!
Make a jig fishing video please 😳
@@ronniemartin8391 Absolutely will! Anything specific about them?
@@nathanquincefishing7122 How about the different colors, and the different jig head designs, and where to fish… I always catch something on a jig👍
@@ronniemartin8391 I can do that!
Nice! What part of Florida are you in? I am in Gainesville, Lake Santa Fe, Orange, Newmans lake, fun stuff!
I actually live in Pennsylvania just travel down a lot
Thanks for the vid and tip on Bitters baits, but am I reading the website wrong or did they change their pricing/quantity? It looks like they are selling 50 count bags (+5) for $35?
This video is pretty old so prices probably went up
Nice video, my favorite way and least seen way I like to fish a fluke is on a wobble head when the bass aren’t suspending and are closer to the bottom. Looks like a dying bait fish and the bass crush it
Thanks! That is interesting!
They also work well on a chatter bait
Yes they do!
Use it on a swim bait head works awesome.
Nice!
I've heard of Texas rigging it but hook upside or downwards. Point in between those grooves in the belly. I think the guy may even fish it belly up also ..I did try it a few times, it worked but I go back to original TR
Interesting I have never tried it
I have one rod I’ve had since 2000 it’s a ugly stick fishing rod I love it it has spider wire beaded line 20 lb test
Nice!
I use those for saltwater. Catches rockfish and big halibuts consistently.
Awesome!
Do you have issue’s getting that big hook to penetrate with 8-12lb test? Would a lighter wire ewg be a better fit for a spinning rod?
Yes it would be but it makes it sink faster!
I'm new to bass fishing. I fish clear water lakes in northeast. What color fluke do a recommend. I'm using braided line, do recommend just using fluorocarbon line or braided with fluro leader
I would run a flouro leader! As for colors pearl white if there is smallmouth, natural shad colors, and watermelon colors to imitate bluegill!
Great video! Excellent tips... I shop at Bitter's all the time. Down the road from me in Longwood. Their "Hall of Soft Plastics" as I call it is certainly like no other. Been fishing flukes for 30 years. Tight lines! Sub'd
Thank you!
You sad lake heartwell do you fish there I have been fishing shallow and deep and I don't catch nothing I have only caught 1 bass besides fluke what else do you use 😊
Where did you buy the screw lock? Could not find one like you used. Thanks
Tackle warehouse!
Do you ever use a swivel and leader setup? I love fishing flukes on spinning gear but even when rigging them perfectly straight, I still get line twist.
I’ve tried that as well it works!
Do you fish super flukes with the paddle tail? I seem to have the best luck slow rolling them, let them fall with a light bullet weight, and then reel slowly. Between this and the senko stick is about 80% what I throw.
Looking forward to more!
Thanks! I’ve never tried a paddle tail fluke!
i have watermelon red , white , baby bass and albino colors , but i use braid but instead on using a line line knot i use a swivel and the weight of that swivel with the hook and fluke keeps it about mid way in water column or it depends on the speed of retrieval , is my method ok or would you change it ? I do catch fish this way but i'm always looking to increase fish catch's
No that works!
Any time
can you use a paddle tail in the same situation?
I’ve never tried!
love dropping in at Bitters
For sure!
I like flukes they are a lot like a Slug O 🐠
Hi, new sub!
Thanks!
From the thumbnail I thought Tim Dillion was doing fishing videos lol !!
So the product that you have mention. Bitter baits. I can’t purchase from Canada. If you know of another place that sells them in bulk
That would be awesome.
I do not unfortunately sorry!
Another way is to rig a swivel up the line about 14 inches to give some weight.
Yep! And reduces line twist!
Good bait to throw behind other fishermen.
is the zoom worm good for wacky rig
I like a Yamamoto senko
What rigging is used with the bait caster
Just an extra wide gap hook weightless
