    My friends had this trick they used to do while playing Fallout (1) that they called “The Tandi Bomb”. Tandi was an NPC from Shady Sands, the daughter of that settlement’s leader, who would ultimately go on to become the first President of the NCR. (Her Face is on some of the NCR bills in Fallout:New Vegas.) In Fallout (1) however she runs off looking for adventure and eventually needs rescuing. The player is supposed to return Tandi to Shady Sands and get a reward of course, but my friends were never too keen on that part. You see, Tandi was technically a child, and also actually a mission critical NPC. So she is flagged as invulnerable. You could also have her carry things for you. So for the price of her occasionally asking when you were going to take her home, you got an unkillable expansion to your inventory. That’s all well and good but where‘ s the fun in it? Well, since she was functionally immortal, my friends would load her up with explosives, send here into the middle of a town they didn’t like, and detonate everything in Tandi’s inventory. The result would generally be a smoldering crater of death, with Tandi standing pristine in the middle asking, “Are we there yet?”

    I remember one time in Skyrim, I went around pick-pocketing the clothing off of every character I came across and stored those clothes in my house. Not only did I leave nudist colonies in my wake, I also had to swim through piles of laundry every time I wanted to store something in a chest.
    Good times.

    A guard in Skyrim said something about my enchanting and how her knife couldn’t cut butter, so I pick pocketed her dagger, went to the grindstone and made it legendary, enchanted it with a crazy powerful lightening enchantment and the reverse pick pocketed her to give it back. Part of me wishes I could see her face the next time she tries to cut something with it...

      D'aww! Always fun to play with siblings. My brothers and I did this with 007 Golden Eye on the N64, a game of hide and seek. However, we were pretty adept at knowing the level layouts so finding one another was easy. I usually chose a room I could swath in mines...until I accidentally stepped on one myself, blowing myself up. Or released a grenade from the grenade launcher and it ricocheted back at me. I actually killed myself more than my siblings did, lol! I think that still counted as a win for them.

      Yeah, but the light gun section they didn't want to do was cocking your light gun shotgun as the game's only reloading function. One of my former high school friends told me back in our high school years he and one of our other friends managed to get through Carnevil on a single quarter a piece by constantly cocking their light-gun shotguns... and constantly shooting everything they could too. What a couple of troopers.

    In Zoo Tycoon, I once made a human zoo. What you needed to do was make a deep pit they couldn't climb out of, put in things they like (such as benches, a bathroom, a food stall), add in a janitor to keep your human exhibit clean, and you're set.
    I also once made an animal fighting ring where I'd put in different animals that would fight each other. It was here I learned that penguins are vicious animals.

    In the original Halo, the scorpion tank with the barrel pointed down acted as a great ramp. We would launch ghosts and warthogs off of them. The player driving the scorpion could them try to shoot the player in the airborne vehicle, like target shooting clay pigeons.
    Also in that game, PVP matches where we only counted kills if players were run over with vehicles.
    Ahh, good times! The days of split screen... 😅

    Putting things in people's pockets is even more fun in Skyrim. With the right perk, you can make those poor guards (who are never allowed to get any sleep) collapse on the ground with a homemade concoction fresh from your alchemy table, and see to it that they finally get some well-earned rest. They never say "Thank you,' though, just get upset about it, Maybe that's because they're not supposed to sleep on the job? Or maybe it's because your perfect sleeping brew is technically paralysis poison. It's hard to tell.

    I didn't do this personally, but in a video about games targeted toward girls there was a comment left by someone who played Smash Bros. with her sister. Rather, they used the Smash Bros. game to pick their dolls and went on peaceful adventures together exploring the various stages for various pretend scenarios (like "house" or "walking the dog"). Her parents, seeing what was going on, told the girls that the point of the game was to fight each other, not to hop around in magical skyscapes filled with Pokemon balloons, so get to fighting or give up the TV. The sisters were crushed, and didn't fire up a console for years afterward.

My Pawn got KO'd, and I needed a hot minute to revive her, but there was one hitch: the Uberdragon was spitting blue hailfire at me the whole time. So, taking the hint on that, I took my pawn, slung her up over my shoulders, and fuckin' booked it.

    Now im never saw this man but they used to say that his suit was so fancy that it looked like something Alistair Tenpenny himself would wear but i always assumed it was red from the blood of his victims, and they never caught this super handsome, muscular, dashing, with a great sense of fashion fellow so if you pockets are magically filled with fancy lad snacks RUN fast cause the Fancy Lad Killer is close behind.

    Tomb Raider was always about flamboyant suicides, in particular, how many full screams we could get Lara to do when falling really far!

    This one I have to share
    In Twisted Metal 3, there's a cheat code that greatly increases the kinetic energy released by weapons, a missile would knock you over very easily, a mine or bomb would send you very high in the air, and *Sweeth Tooth special would send enemies flying so far,* they often died out of map...
    So I said, let's make a competition, I stay on one side of the map, my cousin at the other, we both would launch enemies at each other, if any car hit any of us, the other gets a point, after all enemies are dead, the one with more points win...
    Believe it or not, this was so fun, we spent weeks, months doing this shit, and after everyone wa dead, we'd try to kill each other by out of map death, because we had the God cheat on too, was pretty easy though, one hit in the right spot, there you go flying to your death...
    There was that one in the game Driver 1, God cheat, Miami, go straight until you find a bridge, get max felony an start jumping it from side to side, and look all the police cars going absolutely crazy, it was so fun too, we had to frequently pause to laugh our asses off...
    Man those games were awesome

    • @loporina

      I think the best thing with the GTA wanted level is getting it as high as possible then finding the ONE spot the cops couldn't really get to you and watch them run around desperately trying to find a path to you. A bit harder in later games like GTAV, but still fun. Also, in GTA, creating traffic jams. Shoot out the tires of a passing car and hopefully it spins out and blocks several highway lanes and you get to watch a multicar pileup form.

    • @digitool5944
      @digitool5944 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, in GTA V, there's a few places the police still won't go.
      1) Train tracks, and the tunnels through mountains.
      2) Subway. A variation on the above, sure, but, it works too.
      3) Sewer. You can access it through the river way on the east side of the map in a couple of places, but, again, the cops won't follow you down there.

    I wonder if I was the only little sibling whose "turn" as a kid was forcibly wasted by their older sibling "suggesting" you harvest lives for them. • @Silentgrace11
      @Silentgrace11 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh goodness! I bet if we had access to actual fighting games like that she'd probably do that too. Nah, my sister found that if she were to place me in a hard level in the games we had, I'd either a) waste her precious lives, or b) prove myself to actually be good at the game and use that as a means to try and defy her strict regime. So she kept me occupied by having me harvest souls.
      The tables have certainly turned, though, because I'm the one who ended up with the PS2 >D (in reality, though, we're pretty chill about games nowadays. I have the Switch, she has an Xbox One, and eventually one of us will get a PS4, so when we get together we play exclusives on each others' consoles that the other doesn't get to play. I'm good with puzzles and finding secrets, while she's good at brute forcing her way through levels, so we make a good team, hilariously enough.)
