This is a top tip! I didn't realize this was happening before, but it makes perfect sense. I will definitely be aware of this when shooting scenes going forward! Thanks guys. Keep us this great content.
Great tutorial and awesome skills display. BTW I use Shot Designer too. Great interface between my ideas and actual shots. I'm still just in the beginning stages. You guys rock!
When you created the line on the football field, you have "cut" the field on one of the yard lines. I personally would have cut it in length of the field and just stay on the right side of it (looking from where you entered the field), so you would have no problem with going in front of the runner. That way the runner would always run towards the right side (as you wanted) - in your example he switched directions, which was not what you wanted i guess. Greetings from germany (24 years old)!
There's actually another (much more basic) 180 Degree Rule: You "draw" a line left to right through the very tip of the lens, and everything not supposed to appear in the frame stays behind that line. Should not be worth mentioning, but still there're a ton of cases when people broke that rule with either themselves or some sort of equipment.
Well he would be on the exact same side of the frame if the shots were set up properly lol Tyson is in the middle of the frame! rule of thirds! next tutorial vid! haha
I'm waiting for a tutorial on lights.

Hi Devin, any tips on aerial photography from a helicopter?
There's actually another (much more basic) 180 Degree Rule:
