Summer of 1987 I had tickets for the Beasties and Run DMC , morning of the concert my Dad had a massive heart attack mowing the yard, Mom called from the hospital and said " your father says if you don't go to the concert he's going to be upset" To this day Dad is still kickin at almost 81 and that was THE best concert I've ever been to!!

When I graduated high school in '87, our class of seniors got to see the end-of-the-year teachers' talent show. They were every 4 years, so not every class of seniors saw a performance-and it was NOT recorded, because it got raunchy. I guess it was one of those "Welcome to adulthood, y'all, it's CRAZY FUN!" things. Anyhoo, my civics, American history, and psychology teachers were "The Beastie Boys", and my chemistry and media arts (we had a TV studio) teachers were "the bikini-clad dancers in cages" that The Beasties had in their live shows back then. They performed this song. The auditorium went nuts. I will never forget it.

Beasties are Great. I love how they were inspired by Hardcore bands of that era, principally Bad Brains, but also of other friends bands from NYC like Murphy's Law, a humorous Hardcore band Beasties took on their Licensed to Ill tour in 1986. Murphy's Law had a party ethos with albums named "Bong Blast", "Back with a Bong", and songs like "Have a Beer", "Beer", "Crucial B-BQ", "Big Spliff", "Panty Raid", "I've Got the Bong", "Quest for Herb".

My brother put this song on loud (cassette tape player) when my Dad was driving. We were upstate driving down to NYC, I will never forget my Dad's face. It was scary I was laughing so my Dad took the tape out and threw it in the back, back of the station wagon. Then asked if my brother if had mental problems? and if he would like to be dropped off at some kind of hospital and he would leave him there.
