I agree with you just wanted to tell you it is very violent a few months ago people were eating at a restaurant when drug cartels open fired on another gang killing 3 or 4 innocent people this happens quite frequently there!

Monterrey is not all Drug Gangs and crime, in fact is one of the safest cities in Mexico, part of the metropolitan area such as San Pedro is safe

@@jeffmoore3154 Im from Monterrey and maybe you are confused. We have not had any event in restaurants or other public sites. There are only specific towns or cities that have problems in the country but not all Mexico. The idea that all the country is dangerous is wrong (media provides a bad image and the information is so confused).☺

The tower is called El Faro de Comercio, The Lighthouse of Commerce (It has a lazer beam that you can see at night). It represents a steel ingot just come out of the oven because of Monterrey's history as Mexico's steel capital. It was built back in the early 80's.

    Muy buen video 👏👏
Si estás en Monterrey deberías grabar en:
    1- Plaza MAIN ENTRANCE
    2- Museo y Mirador Obispado
    3- Paseo Santa Lucia
    4- Parque Fundidora
    5- Cascada Cola de Caballo
    6- Zoológico La Pastora
    7- IMAX Dome Planetario Alfa
    8- Grutas de García
9- Try to eat the traditional plates "Cabrito" and "Arrachera"
10- Check for concerts or Festivals at Arena Monterrey.
    Espero disfrutes mi ciudad =)

Crimes happen all over the world.
Violent times were from 2008 to 2013, theyre not gonna kill you just because you "look like a tourist", it only happens if youre strongly involved with a cartel or any kind of really hard problems.
You can walk peacefully in the streets with your family, don't worry

Sorry but I disagree with the title of your video. In fact they are thousands of Mexicans and foreigners that would think the same as I do. Don't get me wrong. Monterrey is not an ugly city. Regios (Inhabitants of Monterrey) have built a lot of stuff but it still lacks the charm of many Mexican cities like San Miguel, Queretaro, Guanajuato, even Mexico city. Another issue with Monterrey is that it doen't have a lot stuff. In other words you can get bored with the city after visiting their mayor attractions.
