- Say what you want about hardtop convertibles like the BMW Z4, but Graeme Fletcher is a fan for one reason and one reason only.
"Holding a button for 20 seconds sees the Z4 switch from cozy coupe to open-air roadster," he says, praising the car's two-for-one appeal.
And with a plenty-powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder under the hood making 241 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, the Z4 is a peppy ride that checks a lot of boxes despite its diminutive stature.

My 2012 E89... Only one button is required to close the roof AND the windows. There's a slight delay once the roof is closed but if you keep your finger on the button, all four windows... Yes four... close. So no need to reach over to the door to raise them via the door button.

Just keep an eye on chain and bearing wear. Don't follow BMW oil change schedule. Do 5k oil changes.

So the automatic is faster than the manual gearbox? Dang I was thinking about a Manual.
These cars should only be manual, don't worry about speed. 1 or 2 seconds here or there is nothing. I have a manual 2009 & it's a beast. Never get an auto sports car !
Unknown Drift definitely go for the AT in this car.
Def go for the dual clutch auto.
